  1. If you could choose the power to burn one of the metals from Mistborn, which one would it be?
  2. When did I say that?
  3. Szeth the Truthless of Shinovar in charming old pixelated graphics, hmm... 7 or 8 out of 10
  4. You're thinking of Ahan; the Ardent's name was Lhan (who originally played a bigger role in a version where Taln had a lot more PoVs); Geranid's companion's name was Ashir; the Veristitalian was called Jochi
  5. I like Sheo too, it's just a cliché answer after... more than a decade now. Mora and Azura I actually don't find all that interesting, I want more of Hircine, Mephala, Sanguine, Peryite, Vaermina, Namira. Would also like to hear more of the other Aedra and the Redguard pantheon. But as far as Elder Scrolls gods go, well, go Tribunal!
  6. Elantris is generally not the favourite of those who've completed the more recent Sanderson books, since he's developed a lot since then. Elantris is an integral part of the Cosmere, yes: we'll have two more books from there, and important people/organizations originate from that world
  7. I like the Doctor Who Weeping Angel like ones (though the SCPs preceded them, I believe), though I like all the cognitohazards in general, my fav though is The Thin Man (SCP 096) The Red Sea object is awesome (read the files!), as is the (possible) Crimson King jail, a loot of the food SCPs are really cool, I love the eyebots, SCP 999, and the healing teddy bear (999 is one of the only SCPs whose number I remember). The trapped AI SCP is good too, SCP 507 interviews are so cool, the 682 killing attempts, Wunderkind's weird stuff, the Factory, Are We Cool Yet? and Church of the Broken God. There's so much neat stuff in the SCPverse! Also some of the researchers' backgrounds! The one who survived a cognitohazard, the poor apple dude, the one who usually possesses a cat, the one who died killing an SCP Hmm, but the Red Sea Object and SCP 507 files are the best, imo On music, do you listen to Sigur Ros?
  8. White hair, smug, hidden Yup, that's Hoid
  9. There's probably two reasons for it A ) As you pointed out, Kaladin was in a very strong imprisoned, trapped kind of mindset while Axies wasn't, he was just "here we go again", Kaladin's mindset was more conductive towards attracting captivityspren B ) some spren are more prevalent in certain areas, as Axies notes with alespren, the spren need to be in the area in order for them to be attracted by the emotion
  10. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying, that's not all I'm saying but yes, absolutely. There's such a thing as burning yourself out.
  11. Uh, "tin foil" is actually a misnomer, it actually is aluminium foil
  12. Yeah, sadly the place where I found it was like "see, you have enough gay literature to make a list", apparently unaware of exactly what they were saying. *sigh* and this list even includes minor characters, and even so it's so small. I guess the danger of a single story is hard to see when you're part of the narrative. Oh and gay men, don't worry, the list is clean of fetishized gay romances, I checked
  13. I understand and agree with what you're feeling here, the thing is though those are the exact things that make me feel like Kaladin sets an unreasonably high morality bar.
  14. Tired of hearing Sheo, Mora & Azura's name when asked this question, good choice. What other games do you like?
  15. Who's your fav Daedric Prince, @jerseykozak?
  16. Whichever mod took the time to join up the double-posts, thank you, was it you, Greywatch or Comatose or LadyLameness? Bliev, my personal rec goes for Arcane Ascension, the author did a terrific job of handling a main protagonist who ticks multiple check boxes, and in a subgenre which is currently seen as being on the low end in terms of quality within the fantasy genre.
  17. @ILuvHats, don't be so self-deprecating! It's human nature to seek approval and I can imagine that everybody's been guilty of doing this to some degree at some point. I'm not opposed to the idea you pitched though, hmm...
  18. Brandon said anything regarding the Beyond and capital-G God would remain unanswered, I do go over that, my point was so many people see it as fact that the God Beyond is this idea of the capital-G God. Many people within the Cosmere do make that connection, but is that necessarily true? I'm just speculating if it might be an actual entity Looks like it is very much a theory that people think could be cool but don't actually hold out much hope for. I've gotten pretty much a uniform response of something along the lines of "that would be cool but probably not" when I pitched this idea before.
  19. Oh! Not entirely your fault, I was also pretty salty about stuff elsewhere and immediately made the worst possible assumption
  20. I'm afraid I'll have to post a wall of WoBs to get to it, so bear with me here Here's what we have regarding the God Beyond: I understand that a lot of people connected the idea of the God Beyond with the Beyond, which Brandon has said he's not going to talk about in any manner that might make one side or the other correct and the other incorrect. I didn't find any WoB that says that the God Beyond is connected to the Beyond. Brandon talks about capital-G God when he talks about this. The God Beyond doesn't necessarily have to be a capital-G God analogue, I couldn't find any WoB that definitively made a connection between the two ideas. This could be up to interpretation, I think. I took some of those WoBs to mean that that's how people in the Cosmere who believe in the God Beyond view the entity. I have floated the idea around that the God Beyond might be an entity similar to Adonalsium from beyond the Cosmere, which is, after all, a small star cluster in the deep black People have also speculated on the possibility of the mysterious light and warmth Dalinar feels originating from the God Beyond I've also seen the idea that the God Beyond might be the opposite to Adonalsium, citing these WoBs: So what do you guys think? Is the God Beyond an idea or an entity? Which one do you prefer?
  21. Hmm, maybe I'm thinking of forums too much like social media like FB. I see what you guys mean. I'm not the one who'll have to deal with the fallout if it goes wrong. Thank you, Chaos, for taking the time, maintaining all of this, dealing with so many completely different people and keeping so much of it open to discussion. It's a massive undertaking and a headache, I imagine. I don't think you get enough thanks for all of this
