WoR ch 63 - do we know who the woman is pattern wants to visit?
Honorless replied to Miggins's topic in Stormlight Archive
Okay, I somehow missed this completely, I don't have the book with me and quarantine. Could you type up the extract here? -
Minor Elantrians with dependant parents and schooling
Honorless replied to Oltux72's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
We don't know, the Elantrians might've had a foster system for situations like this or simply had the whole family move in, Elantris did allow non-Elantrians to live within its walls, it was governed by them not exclusively populated by them. Besides, the satellite cities were literally (or Aon Tia-cally) only a few steps away so it wouldn't have been an issue. I think they were taught a few select Aons like light, and waited until they reached a certain age before teaching them Aons which were offensive (energy blaster Aons), intensive (medical Aons) or violated any laws and morals (illusion Aons). -
Hope you enjoy it here

Welcome to the Shard but be careful because spoilers are everywhere

That scene at the end of OB, since the real Shallan was Radiant, some people suspect she did manifest Shardplate

Hey there Joshua, welcome aboard!

Ashspren probably do embody a deeper idea than physical ash. And Inkspren more than ink. The spren were there before the Oaths, of course, and I don't think they changed significantly following the creation of the Orders. Rather, the spren that could mimic the effects of the Honorblades were the ones that came forth and formed the Orders.

Records of Hemalurgy were edited out by Harmony's and as per his wishes, Spook's writings as well. People understood that Preservation and Ruin were gods/forces of nature but it doesn't seem like they (or possibly just the general populace) completely understand the nature of Shards. Kelsier's experiences were never written down, what he did was only known when his actions intersected with those who did record their own history. Even then things about him were not written down in full detail by intentional omission as faith in the Survivor was starting to become an organized religion.

theory Yet another Voidbinding theory
Honorless replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
The Sibling alone understood the Lethani, the rest became the Seven- I mean, the Nine -
An aluminium spike should be able to do that yes, though stabbing someone with a sheath is a bit impractical Holding Nightblood, even sheathed can be dangerous for people though as Nightblood can somehow supernaturally tempt people to covet it if he judges them to be "evil"

Eshonai looks really cool in that shot

For Pathians, the Kandra are Harmony's agents. For Survivorists, the Kandra were Kelsier's agents, who did his work after his death

Hmm, no I don't recall any windblades on the Urithiru plateau The entire island city of Akinah was ringed by ginormous stone pillars to block ships from approaching Given that its Roshar, I think the process could be natural, so to speak, just more magical kind of natural, maybe something about those locations made the rocks be like that, it could have something to do with how the continent itself is a fractal pattern. Maybe the Silver Cities just sprang up on top of these locations. They could also have been created via the use of the Surges, perhaps the Dawnshards. It's a common enough theory and a good one, I think. The usual suspects are the Surges of Illumination and Cohesion, if I recall correctly

The point of Splintering a Shard's power is that it doesn't just take another Vessel, we know that Splintered Shards can be put back together from the author himself, Odium might very well not know. The 'we' has been speculated to be a royal 'we' or a team-up with Autonomy or simply Odium referring to his collective forces of the Unmade, Fused, Thunderclast, Voidspren, Voidbinders,...

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Honorless replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, but only after you cease to exist (Mwahahahahaha!) I wish for it to snow tomorrow -
Um, we don't really have enough info to speculate. All we know is one needs two Hemalurgic spikes and a Mistwraith. There could be more involved in the process, Bindpoints would be weird on these shapeshifters and the terminology is different (Blessings instead of spikes), though this could be cultural by the Kandra and/or info obscuration about Hemalurgy by the Lord Ruler and the Steel Ministry. In The Lost Metal, from ReLuur's spike, it seems that other metals than the traditional four Blessings can be used to create Kandra (if I'm recalling this correctly)

Marasi and that Kandra that came to recruit her seemed to indicate that it was known that he held the power for a while before passing it on to Vin What happened during the Catacendre was recorded by Sazed, barring a few edits like info about Hemalurgy. The Pathians probably see him as a saviour or saint kind of figure, they seem to believe he did his role and passed it on The Survivorists seem to think of Harmony as a living force of nature while Kelsier is something more like Jesus in Christianity, I think The Words of Founding are holy texts to both religions and just interpreted differently, yes. Marasi talks about this with Wax and MeLaan

what command would you give an awakened piece of armor

"become a knight in shining armor" -
When the Highstorm approaches, we see the spheres light up, but that could've been due to perception influencing the Cognitive and Stormlight is currency to the spren Yeah, light from the Spiritual in general always seems to be described as calm and cold or some synonyms of the same
