    It might've had something to do with Vin being chosen by Preservation whereas Rashek was simply a countermeasure to Preservation's original choice Alendi. The Lord Ruler also had piercings on his body, which allowed Ruin to affect him, this would've pushed the Mists back

    I enjoyed Name of the Wind, all problems aside, its prose is actually as good as its hype. I didn't enjoy the sequel as much, sadly

    Emperor's Soul all the way! I like Way of Kings too, it's just so intense. Favourite characters would be Shai, Kaladin, Kelsier, Vin & Elend, Sazed, almost all of The Stormlight interlude characters especially Ym, Ishikk, Axies, Rysn, Kaza. Surgebinding is my favourite because of its complexity and how you acquire it, including the spren companion.

    Good to hear. I've get Skybreaker or Elsecaller most of the time. I've also gotten Willshaper once. Personally I like the Lightweavers the best. Enjoy the Shard!

    Nope, on Scadrial the Mists would become a bit mindless but would likely survive the Shard's Shattering. Similarly, on Nalthis people would continue to Return, but the process would become systemized
