  1. !HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHA
  2. More than Scadrial, less than Roshar or Sel.
  3. No, Radiants didn't become a thing until the desolations ahd already started.
  4. With the change to snapping in Era 2 I'm going to say no. Assuming this is era 1 however and you manage to locate someone and know their metal, which would be rather hard, and knew how to place the spike, which would be near impossible. You could theoretically do it.
  5. So koloss and inquisitors are separate races from humans. That's the big difference, adding spikes to inquisitors and they are still inquisitors, but make a human an inquisitor and they are no longer human. Kandra are kind of a grey area as how they are distinct from Mistwraiths is not heavily explored other than that the spikes act as a way for their minds to function.
  6. The Stromfather was aware of Jezrien's death, so I don't find him saying that no new Herald had died to be an inconsistency, or evidence for a faker but a lie.
  7. Add to that the WoB's and other quotes on the topic, and we have a solid point. It doesn't matter who the vessel is, they will end up just like Rayse eventually, molded by the power to become bringers of unlimited hatred. Only with another shard to temper Odium can it be safely held.
  8. I do. Frustration is the motivator for all improvement. The stubborn refusal of humanity to simply accept what it is and where it is at. Everytime a man desires more for life, wishes something came a little bit easier, I bring it to pass. Everytime someone wants to know what lies beyond the next hill the reason is that they are tired, Frustrated by only knowing what they have, by being confined to what they are. Anytime an improvement has been made in science, technology, communication, government, exploration, philosophy, math, exploration, it is only through me, by me, because of me. I am what makes men, men. I am Frustration.
  9. Personal recommendation: Read along with an audiobook for the first time.
  10. They would develop one just by being observed.
  11. How? Their souls lack investiture.
  12. Can make lasers, concusive soundwaves, high energy radiation, etc. Soulcast the jedi Use growth along with vine seeds to bind the Jedi down.
  13. No, surgebinding is so broken, especially with Honor gone, I have no doubt that the Radiant wins.
  14. While yes third and lower oaths don't have shardplate a lot of them get that far. In the Feverstone keep vision 200 individuals had plate, and that was just from the Windrunners and Stonewards.
  15. That would be like pitting them against younglings.
  16. It would be inside their shardplate.
  17. It would make them harder to fight, but in my mind precognition is just poor man's skill.
  18. As you wish For the whole discussion I'm only going to go by what the Jedi do in the movies. Simply put here jedi can't win, Radiants can take hits where Jedi can't, and they can activly heal from all such attacks, before we even factor surges into account. Shardplate is heavy enough that using the force on it would take too much effort and distract the jedi from the fight long enough for the Radiant to kill them. I don't see a big difference between sith and jedi for this comparison, Shardplate blocks lightning, and none of the other abilities realy come into play. Now here we have an intresting one, assuming that the jedi know that breaking the center crystal will kill the host, and assuming that they are strong enough in the force to do some while maintaining distance between them they should win. Otherwise I say a toss up with a slight edge to Yelig-nar. That includes Nale, so he wins. Radiant, given that Shardplate absorbes lightning I'm going to say that blaster bolts will have a minimal impact on them, and the radiant can cut them down as they will. If we assume that plate treats blasters like bullets then they still win because droids have the inteligence of week old bread. Without shardplate's ability to heal, stormlight and surges the shardbearer is much more manageable for the padawan than a radiant, however they still can't be hit but have to hit their opponent multiple times, so I'd say Shardbearer, but much closer than any of the other ones.
  19. "Gramps it's John, I was with Ji when he came here a few days ago."
  20. "I like this guy," John whispered.
  21. It took longer than he would have liked, and he got lost more than once, but eventually John managed to lead them to the correct location. "That's the place, right there."
  22. John glanced around, feeling exposed in the crowd, several people gave him strange looks seeing his flamethrower and rifle, but no one commented. "He lives not far from the alleyway you were staying at when I found you. I can lead you there."
  23. How is Renarin's bond any different from a regular Radiant bond then?
  24. I'm going by canon pre-2012, or "real canon" as I call it.
  25. Suit kept Miles at arms length, he wouldn't tell him more than neccesary. While on the other hand Miles was rather devoted to Trellism, so he likely had interactions on that side.
