  1. There is a sample chapter out already
  2. Because f-steel isn't like f-copper. With f-copper you keep your memory even after you stop tapping. And medallions f-nicorsil portion behaves like a coppermind Therefore it cannot be tapped as otherwise you would be able to take the ability to use f-brass out alltogether, rather than having to continue to hold the medallion.
  3. Harmony is a non-issue And I was using it to illustrate my point. These discussions aren't fun if you rig it in one sides favor. If it is tapping why can't they pull the powers out and use them without medallions? They have fewer but that doesn't mean they have 1 per generation. They have more than enough to have multiple metalborn of each type. In fact every member of their society needs a medallion to live, so they have to have them in significant number.
  4. The abilities are locked to the metal, if they could tap them they could remove the powers from the metal but they can't. So it's not tapping. They have mistings, so they have to have all kinds of mistings. Well obviously they can because if they could tap them they could remove the powers from the medallion. Fine Odium is released from Roshar and destroys Scadrial before new Mistborn are ever born. Not a fair fight in the slightest, so why bother with it?
  5. No, the floors are made from the mountain of Ur, as they told Venli. No. Tapping would draw the power out of the metal, which they can't do. Likewise they cannot store any of the abilities medallions give. Medallions can give more than one ability. A-Nicrosil and any other one you want. I think both are pointless, yes if you rig a fight enough you can get any outcome you want, so don't rig the fight at all. The fact that you can't remove the ability from a medalion.
  6. If the spren is alive, and is the metal, the metal is invested. It might not be a shardmetal, but it would be just as hard to push on as something inside someone's body. So the power is in the metal itself, not the individual. Therefore they cannot store it. In order to make medallions they need metalborn. They have ferrings as seen by the firemothers and firefathers. And since feruchemical genes can bring out any specific ability they must have soulbearers. Assuming their spren doesn't notice. Or their plate. And ambush is accepted as an unfair advantage given to the side initiating it and should thus be disreguarded entirely. Which they wouldn't be able to do without another medallion, which they can't use because you can only use one.
  7. Metalminds store investiture too.
  8. The most impressive thing she did was shooting four people in the same room quick enough that it sounded like one shot. Which isn't that impressive all things considered. They were originally only given f-brass medallions, everything else is made from their experiments. Allik said it was possible, but only if the person making them was already Fullborn. But why would they continue to have access after it burns completly?
  9. But the spren is sentient, and thus counts as alive. To tap them, but they can store in any metal, and aren't required to hold something else while doing it. They have soulbearers, if it worked the way you say giving them a medallion with A-Nicrosil and any other power would enable them to gain a new power and they could just switch between medallions until they had them all.
  10. They spent a time walking without speaking. When spren become fabrials they turn into metal. The fact that the investiture is in the medallion, not the user, as seen by the fact that they have to touch the metal in order to use it. As well as the fact that the southerners would have tried that. I don't recall anytime that happened. Shallan summons Pattern as a blade despite him not being there
  11. Yeah, I don't trust any movie producers these days to do a good job. So whlile that is true but isn't all of it. Every adaptation made recently has been the subject of political contraversy that I would rather Brandon not have to deal with.
  12. And you can tell that how? It was roughly the same size as a spike, so much larger than a spearhead. Ony thing is that metal is made out of a spren, and is further invested by the fabrial itself. They won't be pushing on that. You can't store the investiture that is in a medallion. The shriekers heard Kaladin holding stormlight too, it was only Shallan they had trouble with.
  13. I'd exspect it to be Wheel of Time stuff, rather than any of his originals. Unpopular opinion: I don't want any of his works to be adapted, especially his Cosmere ones.
  14. Don't worry man, we all make mistakes ike that.
  15. That is strictly speaking untrue. The metal may not provide the power itself, but it is neccesary for the magic to function.
  16. Once you stop storing you return to normal, so that won't work.
  17. How do you fit something the size of a basketball into one of the soulcaster's sockets? She had A-steel, and pewter. And she had roughly ten minutes to get there(based on how long humans have before brain-death). And the Spearhead was way larger than a regular one, it's not that small. The one the fused used is described as little more than a gemstone with metal(RoW page 112). Very easy to carry, and had the range of a house, and is easy to defend. Only if they were using that beforehand, and that means they either only have F-steel or F-gold. Unless the mananged to get ahold of a medallion that gives three abilities, something so rare that we only know of two of them. You can't do that. The only known way to make a medallion with all abilities is to already be a fullborn.
  18. Based on the rosharan economy each gemheart is worth roughly 10 million USD. And there aren't a lot of creatures out there with suitable gemhearts. They have to both be emerald and big enough to fit into a soulcaster. She watched him fall down the hole and after that it's easy to follow the trail of blood as Edwardin showed. Turn their speed off with a supressor fabrial, since multiple magic systems have been allowed.
  19. You can still have size differences, but you aren't fitting three basketball sized gems on the back of your hand. Why would she search the entire temple? She knew where he was at. Kelsier's allomancy is better, why not his feruchemy? But it is an outside source of investiture, not native to allomancy. So if Atium is allowed so are other forms of investiture.
  20. You can't fit something that big on the back of your hand, but you can break a gemheart down into smaller pieces. Soulcasters have to have gems applied into sockets on the back, gemhearts are too big to fit inside. Where? If the invesitiure needed for the feruchemical attribute is greater than for the allomantic one in one metal, but the feruchemical attirbute requires less investiture than the allomantic attribute in another they would be different. (So gold would have a lower multiplyer than say Iron or brass) She slows down significantly before even begining to search for Wax. A steel ring weighs 5-6 oz plate armor weighed 70 pounds That's over 200 times the amount of steel. Even assuming that compounding was 200x more effective than standard feruchemy it would take 2-3 weeks to fill up a set of armor. And let's not forget that the bands of mourning are by far the most invested metalmind we have ever seen. I mean so does Atium.
  21. That's just fused vs Radiant surgebinding again.
  22. That would be equivelent to the allomantic and feruchemical powers being the same. The same metals is more reminicent of Surgebinders and Voidbinders using the same lights.
  23. The Sleepless are Cosmere aware though, and aren't even from Roshar. The Feruchemical metals and Allomantic metals are the same too.
  24. "This breath is Vasher's" "This metalmind is Sazed's"
  25. They had Bondsmiths, and the sleepless said that it was Dawnshards and surgebinding that destroyed Ashyn. Also why would Voidbinding manipulate surges?
