  1. Three gemstones that can fit on the back of someone's hand. That's well within the stormlight Radiants carry. Shallan is an idiot. I don't think so, but I'm not sure. Good luck getting that far away while effectivly blind. Jasnah never practiced getting back before that was her first journey to Shadesmar. On top of that she used all of her stormlight to get there. It might be difficult, but no more difficult than Kaladin flying, or Shallan soulcasting. Saying they can't come back casually is like saying two orders have a semi-useless surge. Fair. Why would they hide? No one is suggesting Radiants hide. You're the one suggesting Mistborn hide and wait for a Radiant's stormlight to disipate. So ambushing Mistborn is off the table, but the Mistborn can wait for a Radiant to not have plate on? That's still multiplicative x*10 rather than x^10. And we do not know how much compounding mutiplies by(it's probably different for each metal) so saying that they can do it in an hour is a huge assumption. No it's not. The most impressive thing we've seen steel compounding do used up all of the f-steel in the bands of Mourning(page 407), and she was only moving that fast for a short time, even from her perspective. Again we do not know the mutiplication factors for any of the compounded metals. And Rushu uses a soulcaster just fine despite probably never using one beforehand. Straight facts.
  2. If the coins can't get through wood, then they can't get through plate. Warforms, who are easily as strong as someone with pewter, thrust pikes into Jasnah with no effect. Regualr steel plate can defeclt arrows from 160 pound bows from ten paces. Wax could only possibly do it in one shot. It would still take him 2-3 on average. They use three gems at most, so no they don't use a lot of stormlight. We saw them make an entire building. Kazah made a whole in one of the stone spires around Aiamia large enough to sail a ship through. Hm, I suppose that might be possible. Make the illusion bigger, so it's a black sphere ten feet in diameter, with the Mistborn at the center, they will never be able to touch it, and thus can't leech it. Unclear. What's to stop the radiant from following the Mistborn everywhere? The average Mistborn only had ten metals. It's not exponential, it's multiplicative. TLR is FAR more powerful than any other allomancer we've seen, his compounding is thus far more powerful as well. By the time a Mistborn is alive at the same time as medallions Radiants will have plenty of surge fabrials. And it's not a week it's weeks. So a minimum of 2-3. Even with Duralumin it would take you at least a month to get a bracer full enough to even resist a shardblade. Leeching can't go through or affect plate. Spren predate the arrival of shards on Roshar.
  3. Sazed just tapped gold, he wasn't thinking about that. Same with Shallan.
  4. I ment Serence Grace, I'm dumb. I like Trace better though.
  5. By that logic anything that hits plate will cause it to crack. The coin will hit, and either deflect off, or the Mistborn will get launched away. The plate itself will be fine. It would be as difficult to aim as a regular gun. And you only need a tiny fraction of stormlight, do break enough water down and then ignite the oxygen and hydrogen. We've seen soulcasters make entire barracks, tree sized plants will be fine. That seems like leeching a coinshot by touching their coin. Or a rioter by touching the person they are affecting. That's because Jasnah only cares about Transformation. Well you can turn the entire barrel into a treadmill, so I don't think speed will be an issue. If the Radiant needs stormlight for air so does the Mistborn, and only one of them can survive without it. Likewise Radiants will last longer without food or water than Mistborn would. It's the same amount of Stormlight they usually have, they just don't inhale all of it at once, and return the stormlight to gems when not in use. And how many Mistborn are there? No they couldn't. It takes Sazed weeks to fill up a single ring with charge(WoA page 484). Even going at ten times speed they wouldn't even be able to fill a bracer in that time.
  6. Lol, I'm imagining Chasmfiend calliber elephant guns right now.
  7. The same way you do a flamespren. Go near someone dying, and then draw the stormlight out of a gem. It might require a sighted Horneater, or a Singer, to find where they are at, but it should be possible.
  8. Given that lurchers can stop coins with wooden shields those won't even bother a plated radiant Even if you want to go with just what we have seen They all can do it Dustbringers - break water into oxygen and hydorgen, creating sufficent pressure to make a pseudo-gun. Edgedancers - grow plants to grab the Mistborn Truthwatchers - Make an illusion covering the Mistborn's head. Even if they can tell it's an illusion, they can't see and are efffectivly neutralized. Willshapers - transfer between realms, manifesting objects to increase your altitude and jump back into the physical grabbing the Mistborn in a grappel. Stonewards - Build a cannon out of stone, use the stone along the barrel to force a projectile out. That's all the non-gravitation/transformation/Bondsmith orders They probably lose all friction with reality, pulling them into the real world It takes a week for spheres to lose their charge. And what hypocrisy? Don't forget Singers last even longer. And there are a lot of perfect gemstones lying around if you know where to find them. Well they teleport the distance from the CR, so why should that be different? Oathgates
  9. Nope, I'm not going to say it so that I can pretend you still have integrety. (You're still the best even if I must look past some unfortunate habits)
  10. Please tell me you aren't a Kirby main.
  11. They have enough awareness of them to consider the possibility. Hanging out around a dying person? Or using dying animals?
  12. So Fabrials effects are determined by what type of spren is caught and the gemstone used. Deathspren exist. So using fabrials you can just make a death ray, or at least an area where if you enter you die. Dang Brandon that's scary.
  13. I had a new ammo idea today. Deathspren bullets, even if the shot itself doesn't kill, the fabrial should.
  14. Assuming they have an anchor of sufficent size. With the help of Kal's reverse lashings. Letterally every Order has better methods of attack than Shardbows I'd disagree, active investiture is much harder to disrupt. A week is a long time to wait, longer if they have perfect gemstones. The amount of pewter needed to flare it for an hour is just as far outside of Mistborn's standard equipment as shardbows are to Radiants. RoW shows that Spren can be summoned across distances. Nale had a Progession fabrial, so yes, we have seen them use Surge Fabrials.
  15. You're right there, wasn't even thinking about that at the time.
  16. 'Ight lads it's Murica Monday, and July 4th so you are all obligated to post the most American image you can find.

This one has long been my favorite

You may be American, but you will never be George Washington riding a bald eagal that's carrying the American flag, while holding an rocket launcher American.

And yes I took it to another level my taking that picture instead of finding it :P

  17. She did but the only reason she had it open was to imitate a real shardbearer, she closed it almost instantly afterwards.
  18. So something I have never understood about atheism(and feel free to enlighten me) is why anyone would chose to think we are alone. Even if you don't belive in God, why not at least hope that there is something out there?
  19. So this is probably a stupid idea, but I'm too sleep-deprived to tell. What if Legendary/Mythical Pokemon got two abilities they could use at the same time? So Reshiram had both Turboblaze and levitate, and so forth. Now Trace and other abilities like it would only copy the first ability they had. So like this That's all the time I have right now, I'll come back and add the rest later.
  20. Well there are a few technical problems with this, the first being that the only thing you could get off of Nightblood is Investiture, not Identity, so you couldn't get any of his Identity to tap. The second is the question of if you can even tap aluminum at all.
  21. No, you're right. Touch is not required.
  22. If Shallan wasn't there Brandon wouldn't have written the book like that, Jasnah wouldn't have been attacked and forced to flee(because that was only done for Shallan's arc) So she could have filled the same role.
  23. I don't think so, Dalinar sees the remains of the oathpact, it may not be fully functional but they will return to Braize.
