  1. "I, ah, what now?" John asked, snapping upright on the couch.
  2. That is a point I had not considered, thank you. Looking at it exclusivly from this angle I'd have to argue for an "oligopoly" as Fadran put it(Which is a misuse of the term as it is a specific governmental structure unto itself) specifically a republic, as it enables the people to pressure and limit the government, while also not devolving into mob rule too quickly.
  3. Dang it, foiled again. I would like to point out that this is far from the only way to organize governmental structures, and completly ignores the philosophies powers, limits ideologies and so forth that the government has. I don't think any of these particular systems is any "better" or more moral than the others, in many ways it doesn't matter how a goverment functions as much as what it's functions are. Does that make sense?
  4. I made a theory and someone debunked it, so as a joke I said that if Frustration was a shard I would hav ascended. A few weeks and a joke later I changed by username.
  5. I wasn't refering to Duralumin. Honestly in that kind of situation using duralumin would be a last resort, because otherwise you're out of steel.
  6. How is that any different from listening to the Will of the Force? And besides Atium on its own is not strong enough to peer into the spirirtual realm. We know for a fact that ANY future sight messes with Atium. We also know that Jedi can use precognition against other beings with precognition. Therefore Atium must be negativly inpacted to the point of uselessness, but the Jedi must still be able to use their ability. That is strictly not true. I can name several isntances in which no matter which rules you opperate under one side wins. And aside from that Realm C is the only one that matters beacuse no one asking this kind of question wants an unfair fight. Forcing one side to conform to the other is disengenuous to the spirit of this thread, as it forces one side to play by the other sides rules for no reason.
  7. Some neutral third world where both sides have full acess to their abilities created by us the fandom for our amusement.
  8. I don't like that logic of "everything must conform to the laws of one universe or the other" Why can't jedi powers opperate under the laws of the Star Wars universe and Mistborn powers opperate under Cosmere laws?
  9. No but they are heavier than she is so that's not going to be an issue for them. I don't think she ever doges anything moving near that fast, generally she pushes against it instead.
  10. Small fact that blaster bolts are faster than her and droidekas have sheilds.
  11. I'd go a step further and say that Mistborn are among the least powerful magic users in a high fantasy setting.
  12. We are but trace metals are still outside of range of all but the most powerful of allomancers.
  13. Cohesion can create nukes, Illumination can create lasers etc etc.
  14. I'm rereading TFE and I find myself once again being bothered by one thing. It is repeatedly stated that Oreseur has to be kept away from Inquisistors or they will discover he is a Kandra. And I never could think of why until this reading.(Because I'm dumb and thought it said obligators until now) Inquisitors have steelsight, which means that they will see the Kandra's spikes, and since every Coinshot or lurcher can use steelsight if they do it right So in the future any Coinshot or Lurcher will be able to discover a Kandra, and maybe we can end the trend of the second book of every era being a "Who's the Kandra?" hunt.
  15. Mistborn, but yes. I've already given the mods a heads up on it. Still probably not enough.
  16. Yes, Mistborn however have ONLY 16 allomantic abilities.
  17. No, Mistborn have no feruchemical abilities.
  18. Add that to the very large pile of plot holes from Star Wars. Main characters, true, but I'd argue that it's closer to what we should see in most action stories.
  19. Considering that only a few of the Jedi ever really seem to struggle with it, and those that do where "Too old" when they began training I have to disagree. Anakin, Dooku, Windu, Luke, Maul, and that's all I can think of.
  20. Droids aren't alive, and thus are not part of the living force, which makes them impossible to sense, however they can still bre predicted and affected by the force. The Yuuzhan Vong where cut off from the force but they were still affected by it. No there is definatly a strength element to it, Inquisitors could only see metal, but still couldn't push on trace metals. Zero resistance yes, but they still have a lifetime of training to resist emotional manipulation of all kinds. That is true, but that assumes that the Jedi has those.
  21. It works on other individuals, even people from outside the Star Wars Galaxy, as seen by the Yuuzhan Vong, though they also were resistant, but that's probably one of the many wierd things about the Vong rather than a trait unto themselves. I'm just saying that choice and free will are still things in Star Wars. No mistborn has ever had the strength to affect trace metals.
  22. The force isn't omnipotent even in Star Wars.
  23. Or it would run exclusivly on what the Mistborn was going to do reguardless of whether they were burning atium or not. Even when buring Atium Vin still is going to do something, if she changes midway through what she is doing she is still going to do something, and the force knows what that something is. Oh, my bad. Obi-Wan is a much better fighter that Qui-Gon, even if Qui-Gon could see that outcome he wasn't skilled enough to make it happen. I don't think the systems should interact, or be forced to play by any rules other than their own. Jedi wouldn't count as invested, and the force would not count as investiture. I'd say it would prevent them from being sensed at a distance, but it's not going to prevent jedi foresight.
  24. That is the ancient jedi order you're looking at there. The order at the time of the clone wars taught it's members to supress all emotion.
