    I think it was meant to be more of a voluntary separation, and also that would be prior to BAM's imprisonment, so it wouldn't make the Sibling into a deadeye yet.

    It does feel a little like the Heralds and Ulim just got yoinked from modern Earth when they talk like that, doesn't it? I think they just might not really care about the language anymore, having been around for so long, so they start to speak like that. Who gives a storm about proper language when you've been speaking it for... what, 7,000 years?? I mean the internet proves that people will take ANY shortcut to get information into words, as long as it remains intelligible.

    That's fair, it's not like the lack of a gemheart stops humans from inhaling it. Aha. This is why Venli's gemheart doesn't fill with Stormlight. Drat. Wait! Venli might be able to draw out the Voidlight and harmonize it in another gemstone, then use the tones to draw it back into her now Voidlight-free gemheart. This is the key issue. Is it actually "stuck" in there, or could she pull it out with Odium's Tone and then replace it with Warlight after?

    Mfw Chaos guessed an actual Shard Intent a decade before it was revealed, for the completely wrong Vessel. Very ironic indeed, Brandon. Even the guess of Skai's Shard being Devotion instead doesn't quite stack up imo.

    I don't quite recall either, though my gut feeling is that you have to harmonize the tones after drawing one Light out of a gemstone and trying to put it into the one that you want to fill with Warlight. Whether or not that gemstone has to be empty first, I can't remember.

    I think getting Stormlight into the gemstone might be pretty easy, actually. Timbre could probably lend a helping hand in that regard.

    Wait, so would that mean that if she inhaled Stormlight and got someone to harmonize the song of War with her, she could change that little bit of Voidlight into Warlight forever? Just hanging out inside her Gemheart doing whatever Warlight does, mentally speaking?

    I don't get what you're saying here. Shardblades don't inflict harm by using Stormlight, or else they wouldn't work without the user holding any.

    Okay I swear I've read somewhere (might've actually been earlier in this thread tbh) that Wax's real resonance is his spectacular skill with guns (think shooting a bullet with another bullet from Wayne's speed bubble to hit Miles and not Marasi). I dunno if that's actually how Resonances work, or if it's something to do with being Harmony's "sword", or whatever, but it seems like "an effect" that would mesh nicely with his powers (steelpush a bullet to make it extra-deadly, tap Iron to be a better anchor for pushing on it).

    I'm fairly confident that the steel bubble is just a clever application of Intent rather than a Resonance or Savantism. Like, if you figure out how to do it right, any Coinshot can do the steel bubble thing. Tapping F-Iron would supplement it by making the Coinshot harder to push away with the kinetic energy of a bullet, making the bullet deflect more off course than normal.

    This is important. I mean, when we first saw Kaladin surgebind at all, he was sticking rocks to walls and making arrows hit his shield, not flying around like superman. Venli will learn, with time.
