  1. The problem is that I'm giving an introduction for each of my five viewpoint characters (yes, five) and if I give Eric two, that unbalances everything. I'm already pushing things by giving each one a chapter like this.
  2. Eerongal Her blow lands as intended, glancing down your back, but leaves a shallow cut a few inches away from your spine. Way too close. She starts to circle you, but, as you anticipated, her attention is on the glowing hammer. Expected, she charges straight at you again, but, unexpected, is yet another burst of speed. Not as frightening as when she got behind you, but still difficult to track. Her blade, previously glowing green, now glows blue. A number of things happen very fast. She dives in toward you and you strike with your hammer, shifting just enough to take the force of the blow on her armor. The surge of stunning energy you expect doesn't happen, seeming to dissipate. Whatever this burst of speed is, your stun doesn't faze it. As she gets inside your defenses with this clever move, you use your hidden knife, hoping it'll be enough to stop her. The blow takes you in the side, leaving a nasty dent in the armor. She staggers away, a knife protruding from her chest, bleeding freely. Her paling face seems confident, somehow. She collapses, a flash of light obscuring her as she hits the ground. When the light clears, you don't see the unconscious body of your opponent's baseline, but a small girl. The girl rolls up onto her feet, her posture falling into a pout. Her face is familiar enough to be recognized as your opponent somehow changed into a child. "That wasn't very nice."
  3. YES. This sounds awesome. And yes, Cuaiir, something like that. (slight nitpick, but I always put Enhancement metals before Temporal metals in my head, and it's kinda bugging me in the illustration, but really, that's my own craziness)
  4. Zinc/Zinc would be very interesting, the ability to manipulate people, and the mental speed to apply it right. Plus, I'd love to see what kind of effect supercharged Zinc would have on someone. EDIT: And by that I mean supercharged Feruchemical Zinc.
  5. That is the one issue with him, but it wouldn't be hard to overcome with the right camera trickery. His mannerisms as Giles just fit, yeah? The same kind of rambling, soft spoken way of doing things. Sure, Sazed is a much less forceful person than Giles, but that's okay.
  6. SO MUCH FREAKING MONEY! XP
  7. It would be better to have the annotations at the end for those who haven't read it. Then again, who picks up an annotated book for a first read-through? (other than reading Shakespeare, of course)
  8. Death by KITTENS! You'll never see it coming!
  9. Death by crazy, huge guy wearing a tutu. (yes, I'm going by avatars, but only to start off)
  10. I refuse to believe that hard drugs were not involved in the creative process behind the above video.
  11. If you pay close attention, you can tell that a Drab is actually weaker than a normal person (though whether or not someone with a Breath is more capable than a normal person is something else entirely). Normally a person can tell when another person is pretty close to them (unless they're deliberately being sneaky), but a Drab is much more easily spooked, IIRC, that's how Jewels is.
  12. Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Sazed. I got into my head and now it won't go away, I just think he's perfect!
  13. I'm pretty sure they didn't even have myths about Mistborn before the Ascension. Allomancy was just that rare.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-287ehU1U4 So this is a thing. A cool thing.
  15. GAH! That's scary!
  16. Death by holding a miniature sun in your hands as it goes supernova, stupid.
  17. Or maybe just a kind of Special Edition to the books with the Annotations in them. If not right after a chapter, then in the back. That would be cool. I would so buy that.
  18. I've seen no reference to what that sword is except for a bit where Dalinar is in the king's palace outside the Shattered Plains. This may or may not be the same thing, but it says that workers are carving an image of Nalan'Elin holding the "sword of retribution". It may be possible that Szeth has one of the Heralds' Blades (though I doubt it), but I think it's fair to say that the Dawnshard is something completely different.
  19. Do I want this? I dunno, maaaybe. And by that I mean, OH MY GOSH, WANT THIS SO FREAKING BADLY.
  20. True, but I would say that says more about the nature of Allomancy than the nature of Focuses in general.
  21. Jay'el He charges at you, ignoring the Coldfire. Your shots hit him, driving him back with their concussive force. He's in obvious pain. Your fires light up in his clothes, but rather than the grimace of pain you were expecting, he starts to grin. The fire leaves no trace on his clothes, and he stands straight, practically buzzing with energy. He charges at you, his newly found invigoration giving him a burst of moderate speed. His blade glows with fiery energy.
  22. I thought I heard something about his publicist telling him not to answer a particular question. I may or may not have dreamed that.
  23. Oh, she knew she was using her Luck, she just didn't know what it was.
  24. The problem with that idea is that the Thrill isn't just a Shardbearer thing. You have Kaladin's flashback moment, his first time using a spear, which seems to me like the Thrill. I think it's an Alethi thing. EDIT: Also, Dalinar mentions how other men are enraged by the Thrill, thus implying a larger sample base than a few Shardbearers.
  25. As exemplified by his most work of most scholarly awesomeness, the Brandonothology, the most complete Cosmere document ever. Clearly, he will be remembered for generations to come.
