LOL, I didn't even notice! This is BEST! EDIT: @Frost: Your links for the Grid pictures are broken now. And I can't put them in the Data Topic if they don't work. This is very sad.

Jay'el Thomas screams, falling to his knees and dropping his sword. He holds his hands over his eyes, which are streaming with tears. He shifts, his clothes now detailed in blue and white. As he lowers his hands, you can see that his eyes are still dull, still blind. Shift after shift, the blindness persists, until he finally shifts back to baseline, accepting defeat. You know that the blindness will fade, magic induced conditions are like that, but the victory is still sweet, even if your eyes continue to stream with tears. "The winner is Jay'el H'ka!" Jezebel smiles in your direction. The crowd cheers. The bridges extend. Thomas starts to crawl back. "Ambrosius and Veronica Amazon will now come to the Glyph Arena!"

Goodness, no! Keep it up!

Ah, but the drunk guy is sitting on the floor, just drinking. If Hoid was acting drunk for a purpose, would he just be sitting there?

PIRATE LLAMA ATTACK! Arr! -
Death by very good...mares.

@Frost Gosh, I hope not, otherwise we may need to get you psychiatric help. The brackets are...not exactly finalized. Meaning that I change them at will. A necessity with new characters coming in. (also, they're not filled yet, particularly the Blue section, but I have a reason for that) @Eero There are four waterfalls in the corners of the room, but they pour directly into the chasm around the arena. @Emeralis If I wanted to be immediately mean, I would make you 25, as that's who you're fighting next. Buuut, I have other, deeper ways of making you suffer. *evilgrin* EDIT: I find the idea that Spheretech is theorized over like actual science (or even Cosmere science) extremely funny. Also, the theories themselves. I would love to hear more, if you could work that in somehow. Heck, go ahead and theorize in this topic, or open up a new one for it if you like.

I would like to announce that there is now a Fan Fic in the Fan Fiction board!

I get the feeling she needs to speak the ideals to really make things work.

So, I wrote a Mistborn short story. Really short, less than a thousand words. I'll post it here, but I've already put it up on Fanfiction.net. I'll leave a link to it there at the bottom. Warning: If you're looking for something happy, you're in the wrong place. --- The village burns. The koloss rampage through it. I send my family to safety, I hope. My oldest, Barest - a better lad I've never seen - carries his sister, Kaile - the brightest star in my sky, who sobs and screams, tearing my soul in pieces – and pulls himself onto our old horse, even as tears stream down his face. My wife, my darling, Yillen, embraces me for what I know is that last time. "I love you," I whisper in her ear, for any greater assurance I could give would be a lie. She climbs onto the horse behind our boy – now a man, but so young – who takes the reins. He gives me one last look, full of fear and pain but that same strength and wisdom that he will need, and kicks the horse into a run. And with not a moment to spare, as I can hear the wall of the barn shatter to splinters. They are here. Mustering my courage, I pick up my trusty shovel, which I have used to tend my crop against this wretched, drowning ash, and prepare to meet them. There are two of them, one about five feet, the other seven. The taller one lifts a sword as long as I am tall, and, miraculously, I duck out of the way, swinging my weapon at the one whose head I can reach. I can feel the crunch as its skull gives - a more awful sensation I cannot name – and it falls to the ground. But in that moment the other backhands me, sending me flying, smacking me into the side of the barn. I fall to the ground but don't feel it, the numbing pain in my head too demanding for anything else. As my head starts to clear, I sense a massive presence above me. It's the koloss, now calm, the burning rage now gone from its eyes. How long have I been unconscious? It carries something in its hand, some kind of blue fabric, dripping red. A smell of dead flesh fills my nostrils, and I realize that it is not fabric. A quick glance spots the corpse of the other koloss. Stripped of the hanging flesh it looks so…human. The koloss casts the skin aside and bends down over me, my mind not ready to react. It takes something, tiny in its massive hand, and reaches toward my side. Pain courses through me from under my arm, my back arches as I scream, every muscle tightening. The monster rolls me onto my stomach and another surge of agony lances from my shoulder blade; then another from my stomach, and again in my shoulder. My soul is burning; hot and cold in the same instant. My mind and heart fight but to no avail, my life flashing uselessly before my eyes. Every memory of childhood, parents, friends, and the dearest of all, children and wife, blindingly clear before vanishing. I know I am crying. … Human. I…am…human. Stand. See other koloss. Taller. Stronger. Big sword. See sword on ground next to dead thing. Pick it up. I think…I see something. In head. See humans. See horse. They run. Can tell which way they go. I and other koloss. We run. Catch horse. Kill small humans. Take horse for meat. Don't eat humans. I am human. --- FF.net copy You don't need to go there, but reviews/views on it would be appreciated, as well as responses here.

You didn't give me a chance to. I expected him to look at the Notice Board first. But you decided to skip that. So don't give me your angry smiley. Besides, I've worked it in, and I like the interactions this'll set up. Much fun. *evil smile* Anyway, Top's number is 28.

Another Cosmere Q&A on Google+
Silus - Shard of Flame replied to Chaos's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Ugh, I pity you and your 1-4 time. Fortunately, I have 11-2, so I'll probably be able to be there. I might be a little late so we can watch Doctor Who. But I'll probably be there! -
Ddeath bby rrepeated cconsonants.

Yes, the connection between Inquisitor and Kandra is a stretch, but it was either that or have the Inquisitor start out as a Basic Form, which is a TERRIBLE idea. It also lends more symmetry to the Metallic Arts based Forms. Oh, okay, I can see the black paths in the Grid image. So, yeah. Everything's in order. APPROVED Now to get your stuff in the Data Topic. (which may or may not wait until tomorrow) Go ahead and introduce him. I'll let you know what number he is in the tournament.

Death by making out? I think?

Your input is actually encouraged, Coma. That's why I had him post it here, so that you guys can offer your opinions. How about something like Chill Touch? The changes sound good. Ah, cell phones. I get that, just do your best on it. You know, I hadn't thought much about the Kandra ability itself, I was thinking more about giving a preliminary Form for the Inquisitor. No, not from Form to Form, just as a Kandra. I suppose it could come with a bag of bones, yeah. I should put that in. I'd say the bones it comes with are either a person that doesn't exist or someone that's been dead a while (think decades). It's akin to wearing a disguise, to me, since you're not killing anyone; but everyone's got different opinions. No, you have to do the digesting thing, that's why it's not exactly a sought after power. Really nice Grid illustration, but do the red lines just indicate the flow of the Link? Can you transition between any of the three or do you need to go through the Kandra to go between the other two? It doesn't come across in the picture (though I do love the picture). Hmm, I don't know about giving Cierre-Leon so many Mounts. I'd say they have three (including Top's), with no spares. Otherwise, why would they let Spheremounts, effectively the most valuable resource in the world, not be used? It just doesn't make sense. Also, they're not one of the major cities (whatever opinion they may have of Frozen Foothills), so they shouldn't have so much power. Anything short of a major city won't have more than three or four. And if you could post your current, revised application, that would be great.
-
Again, same order. That's funny considering that Frozen Foothills is a more powerful city than them (yes, it all goes back to Spheremorphs, that's kind of the point), which is, of course, what you seem to be going for. Good. Okay, that's what I thought. Awesome. There hasn't been a real hard and fast rule on that. Eero has his hammer that transitions with him, so there's a precedent. I'd say pick one, either the rods or the crossbow (though I'll say if you pick the crossbow you can have like a knife or something to go with it). The thing about how Spheremounts work is that Formspheres overwrite your baseline, anything too prominent gets changed out. Something like a hammer or a crossbow will transition because it fits where the Form doesn't have something specific going on, and isn't too prominent. But if you try to put in too much, it just doesn't work. That works. Very cool. If you recognize it as being from something, just let me know and we can fit that in. Maybe you could PM me where this Form is supposed to go? Frostborn sounds like Mistborn to me, so I think you're doing something in that vein, but I'm not sure where you're going, specifically. (And then there's your username, obviously) lol, I steal like a bandit, you have no idea. It just sounds like a weaker version of the Ice Warden. Kind of how the relationships between Forms and their evolutions is supposed to work is that the point isn't a big increase in power - though there is that element to it - rather, it's about specializing the Form's capabilities. I prefer to think of it less like a Pokemon evolution - a straight up power boost - and more like an almost lateral shift. That's why the Armored Knight, with its mace and shield, goes into the Shardplate, which has no actual weapons; it shifts the focus from weapon based combat to something more hand-to-hand oriented, while keeping that defensive paradigm. If you could have this better reflect that kind of thought process, that would be best. That's fine, completely acceptable. Though, do let me know how you intend that to progress. Sidenote: If you could proofread your posts a bit better, that would be great. There are more typos than I'm used to seeing and it stands out a bit. Not a lot, just a bit. EDIT: It's coming along great. I'm going to bed, so I'll take a look at it tomorrow. I'm sure we'll get this thing done then.

I overall really like this application, but there's a few things I need you to tell me about it, not necessarily change, I want to hear what you have to say about it. Quierre/Cierre-Leon, clear up the spelling for us, and give us a rundown on it. Where is it? What kind of government does it have? Culture, history, and probably most important, how many Spheremorphs? You can't just throw what's supposed to be a city of good sized influence at me without some description of the place. It doesn't mention the Ex-Engaged thing in the History, explain. You go into it somewhat in your RP Sample, but we could use a little more detail there. Give me a little more detail on the "Similarity Link" for your grid, does it just carry over traits from the main Formsphere, or is there more to it? Also, if you could come up with a picture for the Grid, that would be awesome. If you can't (or just don't want to) that's okay, I can do it, but that would be great, as it would give us a better indication of what it's supposed to be. Where did your Kandra Form get weapons and armor like that? The Kandra Form doesn't usually come with those. There are ways of doing that (adding onto a Form), but those tend to be pretty complicated and require special spheretech to pull off. (This is probably something that will need to be changed.) I like your taking the initiative on building the Armored Knight, but what does it mean by "focusing on Ice" for the Elemental Strike? Does it mean only Ice? Or just a more powerful Ice Strike? Or is that just something that Top has worked on improving? Is the Ice Warden from something? And give us a description for the Cold Man Freeze. EDIT: Darnit, Discussion's higher than Story again. EDIT2: Any of you guys going to the Alloy Release? I want to see my party members!

Eerongal The beast is tall, at least ten feet, and not in a skinny way, closer to a rock giant than a bonetree. It's a massive teddy bear. Stuffing, stitching, the whole thing. But it's built like a tank and literally on fire. Your cold strike hits it in the knee, the impact itself having next to no effect, the icy energy putting on the flames in that area and laying down a thin film of frost which quickly melts. Your momentum is gone, rendering your roll more of a pathetic tumble. You come up on your feet, since the force of impact was absorbed by the monster as opposed to bouncing back into you, which would leave you a shaking mess, but you've put no real distance between yourself and "Tibbers". It doesn't even notice your attack, throwing aside your scorched pauldrons and burning cape, and roaring his fury. "Get 'em, Tibbers!" shouts the little girl, waving an exultant finger in your direction, the fires of her pet seeming to radiate from her eyes. The creature doesn't hesitate, charging at you with a steady gait.
