  1. Jay'el "Slow down a bit, you're cutting too close. Remember, quality over speed. A Spheremorph won't care if you take a while as long as you get it right." River You approach a shop next to the Spheresmithy, practically an extension of it as the wall between them is open. A number of other customers are here as well, looking over the merchandise. The items for sale are straight Sphere components, which makes sense. One store to sell them, another to put them together; no wonder they're so close. A tall, spindly man in a sharp suit, sporting a long mustache, approaches you. "Welcome to my shop, how may I help you, Spheremorph?"
  2. Yeah, that would be more magic, or else it wouldn't have worked. EDIT: So...prophecies now. What do you think? Any guesses?
  3. Enormous fanfics that are as long (or longer) than their source material scare the crap out of me. I've heard good things about most of them, but I can't imagine that kind of timesink. I finished Catching Fire last week, definitely weaker than The Hunger Games, the plot felt kind of lost. I've read the first couple of chapters of Mockingjay, and am very unsure as to whether I'll enjoy it. Katniss's attitude is bugging the crap out of me.
  4. Jay'el "Reintegration is a separate process, completely different machine. You're doing this today." He keeps a close eye on your work as you progress, occasionally nodding his approval at a particularly good cut. When you ask about the Soldier weapons he raises an eyebrow at you. "Pistol, Submachine Gun, Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle. That's five. You said to correct you if you were wrong." She looks you up and down, taking note of the patches of exposed skin from the burns, but you can see her scribbling down your words with one hand. "Legs! Get out here!" You here a rustling from the back room, and an enormous spider, at least five feet tall, emerges into the room from the dark back.
  5. Eerongal The girl behind the counter at the Armorer shop is not what you would have expected. Horizontally striped red and blue hair tied in a ponytail, chewing a piece of gum, reading a book, looking bored. She glances up at you, sighs, then puts a scrap of paper in her book and turns her attention to you. "Welcome to Arachne Armor, how can I help you?" Jay'el "That's tricky, it'll need to be reintegrated. Just shave it off and I'll take care of it." A yellow line shows where you need to put another incision. "And here's the lines for the next one." Two more lines, similar to the first. Jack The man turns to face you, and the first thing you notice is the twitch in his cyborg eye. It clicks and spins, the pupil constantly changing its dilation. When he speaks, his German accent is heavy, despite his Hispanic skin. "We have some stock guns, but mostly we do custom orders. Just look around. See what you want."
  6. Episode 632. I keep it on my iPod at all times. Approximately 30 seconds of pure WIN.
  7. Jay'el "If you look at the numbers here-" a swath of the statistics is highlighted in yellow "-you can identify it as the joining border of one of the weapons. You need to approach this more like a surgeon or an electronics expert. Hold the blade like this." A hand grips yours, positioning the tool like a pair of chopforks. You can see a pair of hands placing the Sphere in a vice-like clamp, attached to the same sort of arm that your blade is. "You hold both of them, think of them as extensions of your hands, rather than tools. Now, you're going to make two incisions. Here and here." A diagram of the Sphere appears, showing the inside of it, where two yellow swaths appear, chunking off a portion of the Sphere. "I don't mind the curiosity, or even the asking of the question. But the answer is one I'll keep to myself. There are more secrets there than my own. And the walls have ears." He gives you a nod, then turns back into the unknown rooms behind the balcony, and it retracts. You approach a shop with a large rifle on display. Behind the counter is a man wearing a sombrero, facing away from you. Muttering in what you think might be New German.
  8. I have an ARC, so if this is happening and I don't know about it, let me know.
  9. I'd say go for a more neutral background, less metallic; a solid color.
  10. I really enjoyed it, it was awesome. That teaser at the end, though. I can't wait for more! Unfortunately, I have to wait until the end of 2013 to watch more. The Guild.
  11. Eerongal Keeping the cold charge in your hammer takes a measure of concentration, making you less nimble than you need to be to keep up the game of cat and mouse (or bear and person) that you have going with Tibbers. Your tactician's mind makes it easier, though, allowing you to make your movements precise and better able to predict the beast's. It really isn't that smart, but it is protective. Once it sees you near where Darla has fallen it goes into an even greater rage. The speed of its charge is nothing like you've seen before from it. But your hammer falls swift and sure, and the light of transition disperses the bear's claws inches away from tearing into your face. Your eyebrows are singed. You look around, and see that Darla is back to her proper stature, now unconscious. The crowd cheers for you, and Piscun announces your triumph. You barely pay attention, checking over your wounds; enough burns to cook a pig, it looks like. You slump out of the arena. Ambrosius A massive atium shadow comes into your vision from the left, like a wave in front of you. You dive backwards just before an enormous wall of water, diverted from the waterfall, crashes into the arena just ahead of you. Another shadow passes through you at high speed, and you barely dodge a blast of blue energy that shoots at you through the water. The water collapses to the ground, allowing you to pass through. Victoria still stands there, waiting for you with her shield and spear, the shield radiating the remnants of a blast of energy. Your atium allows you to dodge a swing from the spear and get around the shield defense, stabbing the shock dagger into her back. She screams as the electricity rips through her metallic body and the water on the ground surges around her, throwing you away. She staggers around, holding her head, water moving around her erratically, even though the electricity has run its course. She sinks to her knees, screaming. You can hear a few phrases through the shrieks. "The stone is false and always has been! A shelter for the immortal who holds the horrid secret that damns us all! Beware the eye: the eye that stares into the void and, unblinking, unfliching, feeds on its power!" A final screech of agony, and she falls in a blaze of light, hitting the ground in her baseline, unconscious. The crowd is stunned for a few moments, then erupts into cheers. "And the winner is Ambrosius!" The bridge extends. Greg and Burly rush across to lift up their friend. You leave the arena. It was a good fight and a good victory, but something about it feels...off.
  12. There's no rule on it. Some people will allow them to shift, others won't.
  13. I can see some great potential here. Of course, I have a few problems, though you probably knew that. 1. Drackensburg, good to know where it is, but I need more details. Culture, government, relationship with other cities, and most importantly, Spheremorphs. 2. Need that history, especially interested in the sky wreck and storm. 3. Did you intend for your Grid to have an ability? The name seems to imply that. 4. We have a Sailor Form of Eero's creation, just hop over to the Data Topic, it's on our list. But that's just a Basic Form, you can have Evolutions with three Formspheres, or two more Basics, or any combination thereof. Otherwise, it looks good. I'd like an RP Sample, though.
  14. The shadow really works for the lighter colored ones, but it makes the darker ones look fuzzy.
  15. Yeah...transition times are difficult to do right, so I tend to gloss over them. I didn't think they would get so long, really, I meant for them to be something to do if you find a short breather in a fight, getting cover for a few seconds or something.
  16. Not really from scratch as they were all built from the same basic model. All of the Shards used to be human and that's what they're basing their creations on. Of course they can breed; the magic question is a little tougher though.
  17. He's the one who named it Pixar anyway. *shrug* I'm aware that he didn't start Pixar, but he did have a heavy influence on it.
  18. Just because he didn't take the Bill Gates philanthropy route with his money doesn't make him a bad person. It just means that his priorities were elsewhere, like his company. Sure, he's not as awesome as he could be, but that's how it goes for most people. And since he started Pixar, I'm willing to forgive him that.
  19. Yes, at some point. Though sometimes I'll leave it purposely a mystery. There's a couple of characters who I won't put up their stats for a while.
  20. I'm skeptical, since I haven't played the first game (though I know he intended it as something you can start off with), and I need to read the new chapter of Mythwalker first.
  21. A flash of red appears in the beast's eye. It turns and dives at its master. You hear a shouted curse followed by an obvious spellword. The monster vanishes in a flash of fire and steam. "A Geass? Fine. I suppose it's time for a change." She starts to change Forms, emerging into a blue figure covered in armor, wearing a mask. She carries a long spear in one hand a large shield in the other with some kind of circular design built into it. She twists something on the side of her mask and a tinted visor comes down behind her eye holes. "For just such an occasion. Your move, thiefskin."
  22. Steve Jobs passed away today. Here's an announcement. I am utterly dumbfounded by this, as I was unaware of his ailing health. Everyone who uses a computer owes him so much, regardless of whether you use a Mac or PC, because of how much he shaped the industry with his innovation and vision. Rest in peace.
  23. H team for me then.
  24. The snake is fast, wicked fast. Just throwing the knife simply won't be enough, as it dodges out the way with barely a thought. It slides between you and Victoria almost casually. You can see behind it as Victoria, having gathered her strength, wrenches out the knife with a yell. The serpent bats the normal knife from the air without bothering to look. "Attack!" The beast opens its mouth and shoots a blast of super heated steam at you.
  25. Dual wielding Shardblades, a scary proposition. We can be glad that Szeth didn't take Gavilar's.
