    Good to hear that! Hoid as The King's Wit and The Lopen, were both so great to read. Especially with Lopen I look forward to what will happen to him next. And to everything he will comment.

    Damaya put away whatever she held in her hands and rushed over to Araha. "I'm sure you can find a fabrial washing machine in the Alleycity. You can find almost everything there." she told the strange man. "But you won't find it by holding her. Please, let her go."

    I count the Emperor's Soul as my favourite. Although it's a Nobel and Not a book. Bit I Love them all If you have some time you could also try his non-cosmere books. They also make for a great read. Which character did you like best?

    Yes, c'est la vie. And I'm really lucky that he's a role player, too. My life wouldn't be the same without plate armor in the living room or half finished swords in the cellar. Escecially with LARP you need a partner who can understand why it's fun to spend weekends crawling through mud, standing nightwatch and fighting demons, because that hobby really takes up a lot of your free time.

    Oh wow. My husband is annoyed by the time I spent "in fictional worlds", but something like that didn't happen so far. And I don't think he would accept it. (Though he did accept that I rescheduled our vacation this year so that we could go to a live role play convention, I decided we couldn't miss. But that's something we do together, so it's somehow different.) And thanks again for the compliment! That really means a lot to me!

    That's a hard question, but your rules make it easier for me. I don't think I'd be a good man, so that leaves the female characters. And out them the choice is between Shai and Vivenna, because I have a great respect for both of them. Vin is cool, but she is nobody I would want to become. In the end I'd pick Shai. The bad eyesight is a minus, but she has a good heart and her personalitly would fit me well. I like that she is clever and never gives up, even when the odds are against her. And since I would life my own life, the chances that I get in a fight and be at a disadvantage are slim.

    Shai enters the stages and bows deeply to the assembled crowd. "I welcome you all to the third round of the 2nd Cosmere Character Roast battles. Before starting I'd like to thank @Ashspren for this possibility to share my new piece of art with you. My name is Wan ShaiLu and I am one of the best forgers alive." She bows again and afterwards starts her roast. (There are some SA (incluing OB) spoilers, therefore the spoiler box) Shai bows a third time and then leaves the stage, waiting for the next opponent's entry.

    "It's a cryptic." Damaya answered, without officially adressing the fact that the woman tried to lie to her as soon as she opened her mouth, only to redact herself a few seconds later, telling the truth. She didn't like it herself when someone pried in her private matters. Unconciously she touched her left are, where her own cryptic sat, perking out of the end of her sleeve. "I'm sorry, I have to go help Pallas. We can continue to talk later?" Without waiting for an answer she joined Pallas, helping him carry the food out of the kitchen, putting out plates and whatever else he told her to.

    Damaya shrugged. "I don't know. I've been in the kitchen making hot cakes for the evening." She looked over at Ioc and the man with his cane that had asked him to stop ruining the floor. "I'm Damaya. Sorry I should have started with that. And did you see that spren sitting under the table over there?"

    Damaya looked to the side and saw a woman watching her expectantly. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were talking to me." she excused herself and then answered the question: "He's walking in circles. And he is ruining the floor. I tried to talk to him, but he ignored me, and I don't know how I can help with that." Taking a second glance at the woman she recognized her from earlier. "You were the one who opened the kitchen door and left immediatly afterwards, or am I mistaking you for someone else?"

    Instinctivly jumping back Damaya, stumbled over her own feet and fell to the ground. She heard the floor crack and stared at it in disbelieve. He could heal from that. Scrambling up on her feet she backed up until she stood next to Yzabet. "He's crazy." she muttered,throwing Ioc an uneasy glance. Then turned to Yzabet: "You were starting to tell me what else I could do? I'm not sure how to help here, honestly." It was only then, that she realized that one of her sleeves had been pushed up by her fall and Coru was visible for everybody. Embarressed she hastily pushed it down and then was embarressed that she was embarressed. It felt wrong to show him so open, to admit him so open.

    I just finished a reread of N.K. Jemisin's Fifth Season today and I'm still in that emotional hole it left me in. I cried twice, thrice? I'm not sure anymore. It's just so beautiful and disturbing at the same time. The way the characters act and how the world and the people act. It's feels so real, so close to reality, although there are "mages" and it's a fantasy setting. But the characters are so real and the world is so cruel, just like it really is. There are these scenes, that always touch me so deeply, that I have to put the book aside for a moment and collect myself.

    When nobody wants to discuss their favourite books anymore, because they all know what you will say. (and I will continue to tell them to read his books until they do...)

    I enjoyed their banter a lot. It was great to read their discussions. And I think Ham had two main roles: 1) as a teacher for Vin, because it makes no sense that Kelsier is perfect in every metal. Therefore someone who could teach her pewter was needed. 2) he needed someone to train the army, who really knows what he does, before Yeden took over. So he wasn't redudant, he was simply a character we didn't get to see that much. But we also didn't get to see that much from Marsh either, and his role was vital for the both Eras.
