I think it's save to say that the Shardblades are not stored with the Honorblades. Some Shardblades that are around are already mentioned: -- Oathbringer (Dalinar -> Sadeas) -- Sunsraiser (Elhokar) -- Adolin has one -- Gavilar had one (I yet wonder were his Blade and Plate went ...) -- Shallan's Blade -- three Shardblades in Jah Keved (discovered in Interlude 9 TWoK) -- Eshonai has one -- Ym's chaser has one -- Amaram has one -- Szeth's Blade might be a Shardblade, too, though we don't know it -- Brightlord Resi (full Shardbearer, fought a duel against Adolin, TWoK Ch. 58) and one or two more in Highprince Thanadal's army: -- (edit) Lyss has one (Jasnah Reading) Dalinar's count on Shardblades: edit: Added Lyss (I forgot her before)

Rosharan lore says that humankind were cast out off the Tranquiline Halls to Roshar. This implies for me that humankind hadn't been native on Roshar. Horses and chicken might have come to Roshar with the humans. And I think that there were different races of humans in the Tranquiline Halls. I have no idea whether the Shin were set in that mostly protected territory by happenstance or not but they are an evidence for different human races as for they don't have an epidermic fold like (seemingly) the rest of humans on Roshar.

KR Internal Conflicts and Speculation on the First Ideal

Me not too, but it seems I can't word my post so that it's understandable; I apologize. -
KR Internal Conflicts and Speculation on the First Ideal
Meg replied to dionysus's topic in Stormlight Archive
For clarification: I'm not saying that they fought other humans instead of "evil monsters". I say that this quote might suggest that there was a internal conflict and perhaps at least the Windrunners and the Stonewards didn't want to participate so they decided to leave the orders and stop being Knights Radiant. But that quote says that they should have fought "evil monsters" instead of coming to Feverstone Keep. -
KR Internal Conflicts and Speculation on the First Ideal
Meg replied to dionysus's topic in Stormlight Archive
The enemies the were to fight were described that way. So this suggests the possibility that the Windrunners and the Stonwards abandoned their place because of internal conflict they didn't want to join. I know it's a stretch, but we don't really know what happened on the Day of Recreance nor what caused it. So this possibility isn't more unlikely than any other possibility. -
KR Internal Conflicts and Speculation on the First Ideal

I miss the relation to this thread, can you help me? And btw. though it's off-topic here: you said that BS said the Heralds were made similar to the spren. Might you be so kind to tell me the reference for this statement. I didn't find it, I'm sorry. -
But it is interesting that Darkness was in the palace when Szeth killed Gavilar (though I don't think there is a connection). The Parshendi told Szeth that Darkness by contrast seems to use (at least sometimes) the shadows to be unseen until it's to late for his victim (I get this from the (not yet confirmed or repeated addition to Ym's Interlude). That's not helpful in any way but I thought it's worth mentioning.

In this case, yes, but in a lot of posts etc. cryptics is capitalized, too, what I makes no sense to me (though I admit that I don't understand why kandra isn't capitalized but Inquisitors and Koloss are).

Please excuse, what exactly do you mean with "Soulcasters"? I believe that the gems with their captured spren are (and were) the invested objects, though it might be that there were "fabrials" that only were for storage (that's what I think the female Knight used in the Starfalls-Vision).

source without scrolling (I only want to help, please don't feel insulted, Gloom)

From the quote I would think that a Shardblade would be a normal Sword for Mistborn and don't act like a Shardblade on Roshar (other type of Investiture).
-
It feels likely to me that she got that blade from the incident with her father. What do you mean with "inherited soulbinding"?
-
@Shallan and Stormlight: I've read those scenes in TWoK as two different "actions". The one is her visiting (or peeking into) Shadesmar (Stormlight is needed for not getting lost there), and the other is her Soulcasting (Stormlight is needed for the transformation).

I agree, I'm sure the Heralds had been normal, mortal humans before they became Heralds. Yes we have You can either search the Events, Signing and Stalking Forum (especially for newer information) or you search the WoT-Database. Some tidbits can be found with "googling", too. I think that Shalash was mature already when she was chosen as a Herald.

I don't know whether I've understood Argent's posting, but I'd like to throw those two quotes in (if I'm totally wrong, please apologize). and So it seems (!) that Seons didn't exist before Aona's Splintering.

I beg for your pardon -- I didn't really read those theoretical postings above. As for the question of the topic I dare refer to TWoK: Though I don't know whether that torn muscle of Taffa was healed, too, at least the skin was healed through Regrowth. So I believe that Growth = Growing/raising something new (from seeds for example), what means changes to the object (seeds, shoots, and so on, things that gardeners do, if we stay with plants). Regrowth = Recondition something that was damaged (like Taffa's and Dalinar skin in the vision). (I'm not sure if my wording is understandable, I have problems to express myself here.) Unfortunately Lift's Interlude doesn't help regarding Regrowth. I know, this is quite boring compared to the above postings, but I wanted to add it to the discussion although.

What list? Ahh, to make it to his (Taravangian's) list?

I'm quite sure (from the WoA, I think) that Skaa weren't allowed to travel. Elend was told about "passwalls": This is what I first remembered, and honestly I don't want to flip through all three books now (I think somewhere is more distinctly said that skaa mustn't travel).

Yes, but we know that Syl can "slap" Lift, too, as she did when she wanted Kal to wake up on his first bridge run and once more when he refused to listen to her (IIRC that was, after he did his first training). But indeed a Syl - Lift - discussion will be at least as interesting as the Szeth - Kaladin - fight.
-
I'm curious to learn more about Lift's history. She hadn't been raised were she was born. Why? How did she live -- she's only twelve but it sounds as if she were older -- what did she go through in her short life? Rall Ellorim was mentioned only twice in TWoK: Once by Kal (he had heard tales about "Rall Elorim, City of Shadows") and then by Axies (Rall Elorim is the largest city). This doesn't give any hints about Rall Elorim.

Hmm, I admit -- partially contrary to what I said a few days ago -- that Lift indeed nearly instantly "got awesome" after eating something. That could mean she metabolizes Stormlight from each source she gets -- but also from her own body (this is why Wyndle was worried). But I'm sure she didn't really surgebind before Wyndle joined and taught her. To me it seems that all of her knowledge about Friction and Growth comes from Wyndle, though she might have had the predisposition as Kal had, too. Gloom, what do you exactly mean with "her abilities"? Her surgebinding? If yes: I think he's not worried about her surgebinding but only that she can feel and touch him, as for spren aren't touchable (normally). If you meant that, I apologize.

Gloom's quote is the sentence with the "green" eyes in the English original. So this might be a wrong translation. As for other books: I recommend Elantris and Warbreaker. They are stand alone novels (though there is kind of a sequel to Elantris: The Emperor's Soul). Then there are the Mistborn-books: The Mistborn trilogy (The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages) and The Alloy of Law which is not a "direct" sequel to the trilogy and is set a few hundred years later. Also nice to read and interesting, but not a cosmere-book is The Rithmatist, a young adult book. Best would be, you follow Glooms link and check the library and the books. And last but not least: Welcome to the 17th Shard.

Once again reading the information Shardlet posted I was glad to find this: I've once thrown out the theory that the Oathpact indeed hadn't ended with those nine Heralds leaving. This quote supports my reasoning though the question here was: "Is there any of ..."

Theory: Adonalsium cannot be put back together again
Meg replied to WeiryWriter's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Right. Hoid isn't a Shard: edit: I forgot or didn't realize that we have a more distinct answer from BS on that: -
At the moment the different Cosmere-"magics" and such are rambling around in my brain: Ash - Shallash - Lightweavers - Illumination | Light/Illuminaton - Aon Ashe Unfortunately I'm not a Returned ... I can have headaches. Edit: This thought comes, too, from a quote which says that all languages in the Cosmere kind of derive from the same (I might have a look for it later).
