  1. Does no-one remember Dalinar glowing when he saved Elhokar from the Chasmfiend? He displayed strength beyond what Shardplate provides, and were still debating wether or not he's drawn in Stormlight?
  2. Given enough time, I'm sure said conquered lands would see them selves as "Elantrians" land. The cognitive is formed of belief after all. IRL Texas is seen as Texas to most of its inhabitants, but they still have homogenous belief that they're American. IDK if I explained that well....
  3. Yes, yes we have. And it's only getting more complicated by the day. Arcanum Unbound? or Unbounded Arcanum?
  4. wandering stars? Like starspren? WoR p.362 and 836 mentions starspren in the Scar and the Tear, and starspren moving in the sky despite cloud cover, respectively. What would those Spren be attracted to, if it's clearly not starlight? I'm wondering if they arnt attracted to a "bridge" of some kind to Braize now.
  5. I know. Leaves me a little miffed that it could be any other place, anywhere else in the Cosmere; and we'd be all over the information looking for Shards and what not lol.
  6. tell that to Ati holding Ruin.
  7. So map of the Rosharan system shows Braize is the 3rd planet in the system. I always had the impression is was more like Pluto IRL, As I hadn't read anything in WoK or WoR that adressed this observation. Is Braize visible from Roshar? I'm not certain that there is any scale involved in the A.U. map, but the triple moons of Roshar in comparison to Braize's proximity leads me to think it should be. Any thoughts on this?
  8. Rithmatist is not a very fleshed out book in my opinion, as it's designed towards younger audiences I feel. Frankly though, I'm surprised it's not a Cosmere book. It's a Coming of Age tale, with a magic system that's a mix of Selish and Nalthian "will" thrown in.
  9. The horses "technically" shed blood, and were kill killed first
  10. I'd like to clarify that Alek from BoM was tapping his Connection metal-mind to speak Scardian(?). It is explicitly stated that the Connection has go to something I.e. the Elendel basin in this case.
  11. It's not Cosmere but BS also wrote the Rekoner books. Pretty good trio of books.
  12. Totally came her looking for a Boston Chowder recipe.
  13. As Blightsong said, EdgeDancer answers some of your questions. However you also raise a good point about interpretation of the law on the Skybreakers part. It's a slippery slope that edges towards doing whats "right" in a given situation. The thing that bothers me about this lateral interpretation is it (in my mind) encroaches on Wind Runner Ideals. "Right" doesn't mean legal kolo?
  14. Damnation. And I was Pro-Hemalutgy Legacy prior to that WoB. Still am I think, considering there is a definitive difference between the Spiritual Investiture and the Cognitive ME going to the Beyond.
  15. Thank you for the WoB. I'm aware of Splinters and such on Sel. I've read all his Cosmere books, which is why I feel really silly for not being aware of thus fact.
  16. In A.U. Khriss mentions that the landscape of Sel has "a growing self awareness" her words. This implies a certain Semi-Sentience of the planet, but not necessarily that Splinters caused the earthquake; only that Sel was aware of the shift. My Comp-Fu is weak so I can't pull up the proper WoB, but DnD we splintered LONG before the quake that messed the Aons up.
  17. Street So maybe I've been very dense fur a long time, but Khriss mentions that the Dor is a combination of Devotion AND Dominion in AU. Is this known fact? I always assumed the Dor was an in world term for Devotion, acc vs Skaze tapped into Dominion. Just considering how the two cultures operated the past. I.e Elantrians are an open accepting society, Jaddeth's followers follow a stricter Feudal hierarchy. So I g guess my question is, how did these Splinters bond into a cohesive whole?
  18. Nah, he's a total Wind Runner. As many laws as Wayne breaks on a regular basis, he wouldnt be able to deal with him. For that matter Wax is guilty too. They're methods are unorthodox, but no-one ever doubts they're on the side of Right.
  19. Indeed, the act was likelysymbolic and had repercussions in the Cognitive Realm. The laying down off weapons and severing bonds was certainly simultaneous.
  20. Okay first thing I want to add after reading OP: Surgebinders existed BEFORE the Heralds imposed Orders, as per Dalinars Nohadon visions. We also know that a Desolation occurred immediately after a Surgebinder went rogue, but BEFORE the Orders. We have visual proof that it was a bad Desolation. I wonder if simply using Surges unchecked doubt somehow power up the destructive potential during a Desolation
  21. Calling Cryptics Liespren is like calling Releasers Dustbringers. They're names others have on them, and obviously have connotations that are not appreciated.
  22. This is from Emperors Soul “soulstamps. Each was as long as a finger and as wide as a thumb."
  23. The biggest argument against Nightblood being a voidbringer IMO is the similarity between Spren and Awakening Commands. They are both literally thoughts being animated in the Physical Realm. Nightblood's Command? Destroy Evil. You know what, never mind. That Command can be twisted to Odious purposes. Carry on.
