  1. Got.to.agree with Calderis about the Stormfather. However the Alethi are now in Urithiru, presumably Shallon's role there will be research into voidbringer. Is there any reason to assume we arnt going to have a wealth of knowledge to dig through?
  2. I need an "I've already paid for mine" option
  3. Transportation is an inaccurate science " if you know what you're doing. Jasnah does not." - BS SO I doubt that's doable. Perhaps, killing Sadeas was the beginning of this process. Anyone remember the Tower? It seems to fall to the wayside in discussion, in World and IRL. Thousands of men cast into a death trap, completely eclipsed by the emerging threat of an Everstorm; relinquished to the annals of history with no-one left to remember their sacrifices. Except one person who sought Justice for the fallen. One person who remembered the terror and the courage of those who gave all. I can just imagine Adolin pulling a Tyrion Lannister on trial. Heartfelt, sincere, and loaded to the gills with tempered frustration. I can totally see something like this going down.
  4. Indeed. If nothing else; "will not disappoint" could also refer to we 17th Sharders simply gathering more Cosmere information. Sanderson is well aware of how canny we are about picking his work apart
  5. Blades drop into the hand. Dalinar notably disarmed Elhokar with a timely kick, before the Blade dropped into his hand.
  6. There's an entire storming board dedicated to it my chap. There's a pinned thread in there with all the released material. As for me? I read the released material simply out of angst. The SA books are so massive that an appetizer dosnt spoil the entree for me.
  7. I wouldn't even say panic. Basic adrenaline, combined with increased strength, and wrapped in dense metal as opposed to flesh and bone..all these things add up to a an incident OSHA would be pulling their hair out over lol.
  8. I second this. It was one hit, and the gut punch was intended to be disabling. I myself am guilty of having done this, so I completely understand Moash striking Kaladin. Moash just wasn't capable of finesse in Plate. Granted though, it was an ugly storming spot Moash put him in, in the first place.
  9. I'm pretty sure that is exactly how it would work on Roshar actually. Clone a Feruchemist. Place one on Roshar, one on Scadrial. Both Feruchemists are storing a % of their weight, but that same Feruchemist weighs 2 different amounts depending on what planet they were on. You've effectively created a greater storage in the one. No different than Feruchemical brass. Have one overheat in a desert, and one sit still in the Himalayas. Their environment actively affects what they're able to Store.
  10. I know. What we understand though, is that there is an interaction between the Feruchemist and the plant while actively storing. Put simply, I dont think a blackhole effect is even physically manifestable with that onus.
  11. Let's keep in mind Feruchemical iron doesn't toy with mass....

    Roshar's Sun

Kudos regardless. Sadly, the solar map in Arcanum Unbound is not a scale reference, but an artistic rendition.
  13. Long ago, while attempting to learn more about Mistborn, I stumbled upon a new word: Adonalasium. And that Kids is how I fell into the rabbit hole... Seriously, don't spoil yourself now. Read the Mistborn books (there's 6), Warbreaker and Elantris (stand alone books), and follow those up with the Stormlight Archives (book 3 is released later this year). By the time you're done with your Homework, you'll have an established base of knowledge to begin understanding the Cosmere; which is the Universe all these books take place in. There's a lot to learn and enjoy, I recommend taking notes lol

    Jasher

    Some Austere fellow.
  15. When is it not? The entire caste system inundates us to the repeated references. BRIGHTlord, BRIGHT lady. These arnt simply observance of customs, our noses are practically being rubbed in it!
  16. The thing we need to keep in mind is that Light Eyes means Lit Eyes. They don't glow with Stormlight, but they are seemingly "lit".
  17. I was pointing out the gemstone specifically. As far as I'm aware, it's the only time we've been told what gem is in a Shardblade hilt. If we had a description of Renarin's Blade we'd be able to make some kind of correlation possibly; sadly that description is lacking
  18. Ahhh. I see. My copy of WoK still has Kaladin's eyes turning tan at the Tower Thanks for the clarification
  19. Elhokar has yellow eyes per p.188 WoK. Dalinar, also I admit, has no definitive eye color as of yet; BUT we have stronger reason to believe they'll be changing to whatever color a Bondsmith gem is. I made a point of studying eye color trying to prove a different thread lol
  20. Elantris Anniversary edition was last year I think. IDK if you want to count that or not, but it was definitely a prolific year. Edit: I stand corrected EAE was 2015. I am still firm in my conviction that Sanderson is a Beast
  21. Couldn't trace it like that even if you wanted. Dalinar, Gavilar, Elhokar, Adolin, and Jasnah all have different eye color. We've got green, blue, yellow, and violet between them; all of them closely related. Whatever Investiture wonky-ness caused the Lighteye caste, isn't handled/passed on in a strictly hereditary sense, at least as we know it IRL
  22. Freakishly fast. I'm used to waiting 2 years or more for my next dose from one of favored authors. Seven years in one particular case.. So having Sanderson churn out a new book pretty much every year is not only very impressive for the quality of his work, but the quantity of it, the word count, is mind boggling. The SA are thicker than most people's Bibles!
  23. Adolin removed a ruby to sever the bond between the previous holder of Renarin's Blade. I can't find a description for the blade any where though.
  24. I don't see why an object might not be perceived as a part of oneself and a metal-mind at once. Take Inquisitors for example, surely they see the Spikes as being a part of themselves and HoA confirms their Spikes can be used as metal-minds. Edit: for clarity
