    I haven't heard anything about the Void until now. What is it? Unless it's a spoiler from unpublished works. I don't want to hear about those.

    A lot of what we here know about the Cosmere comes directly from Brandon, with only small hints in the books that people have ferreted out and asked Brandon for clarification on.

    Well, if Kaladin only has a regular spear, Wax can pull on it and really get Kaladin at a disadvantage. Now he has to improvise by finding a weapon that doesn't contain metal. Add that to the disadvantage of facing two skilled opponents together, and I'm thinking he's in a bit of trouble. On the other hand, I think his powers are a bit more versatile than W&W. He can heal, and lash things in all different directions, and use stormlight to enhance his battle reflexes. And he's really good at combat, so it's not something that's easy to call either way.

    Interesting. You always hear of people who become ambidextrous after suffering and injury to their dominant hand. It never seemed like it was that much of a difficulty for these people.

    Yeah, everyone else beat me to it. But what I really want to say is that scene really confused me. At first I wasn't sure if it really was a weird temple until Wax shows up and calls it a bar in his head.

    Colors on Nalthis are also kind of a waveform. And Breaths give you perfect pitch, which seems a bit weird considering sound isn't important in awakening.

    I'd say you could have different chalkings with different attributes. Some are faster. Some can range further from the bind point. Some do more damage. Some have higher defense. Some have an AOE attack. Some have defensive AI, while others are on offense. Different things like that.

    You know, when I read this I think I just assumed it was the Listeners going to get Stormform. Now that I look more closely, it doesn't seem like that is a valid interpretation at all.

    Does WoB indicate that Scadrial itself was started from scratch, or just human life on Scadrial? I'm pretty sure it's the latter, though I could be wrong. So, it's entirely possible that the planet, and non human life, existed well before the Shattering, allowing for petroleum.

    WoB says that Szeth cannot draw in stormlight, at least not yet.

    Good catch. Perfect rhythm is definitely suspicious. It's been a long time since I've read Era 1 and my books are locked up in storage right now, but there could be something to it.

    Wouldn't the illusion die when you get away from Elantris, though?

    Brandon has previously said that the end of SA has been revealed, similar to how Sazed's ascension was revealed in the epigraphs of TFE.

    I'd say we need some sort of resolution to both the Set and the Trell plots in the next 2 books. Not that they need to be totally resolved, both could still be influencing Scadrial in Era 3. There just needs to be a resolution to the current conflicts with them. I can see Wax and Steris' relationship evolving into something that involves true romance. She seems rather enthralled by his more dangerous side, I can also see something happening with Wayne and the girl he sponsors (not romantically), maybe she'll have to reluctantly come to him for help or something. We also have power shifting from nobility with a governor who is not part of the peerage for the first time.

    Yes, these views are poisonous to society, and that's WHY Brandon is exploring themes like these in his books. He's not endorsing these views, or mocking them, but exploring why they're such a problem.

    Interesting, I didn't know that about alloying metalminds. And yeah, good point about the bind points.

    I don't think he does his professor gig because he needs the money at this point. The man's advances and royalties probably bring him quite a bit of income.

    So I have a theory about Wax's original earring. We know that it comes from a melted down Inquisitor spike. Or does it? What if all those spikes were melted down, mixed together, and then reforged into Pathian earrings? Could the earrings hold multiple charges of different attributes? Honestly, I don't know how metallurgy works. Is it even possible to get a good alloy out of all those different metals from the spikes?

    Ok, so sleep has many benefits. I wonder if tapping wakefulness gives you all those benefits, as if you really had slept, or if it just causes you to feel more awake.

    Not in the same world, so how does that follow up Steelheart? Unless it's Either that or it's supposed to appeal to similar audiences. Maybe?

    The AoL annotations also talk about how you can't become so dense as to become bullet proof.
