But before, we'll know what he did... and it's gonna be sad. First thought is Darkness. If he will be more than a interlude character. Otherwise, Szeth. One of them dies, too. Yeah I have no idea who this is about Elhokar starts to make decisions! Adolin or Kaladin for sure Szeth has a honorblade. OH-OH... can't wait for this one... Darkness is a Herald. Hmm... Shallan, oh Shallan.... what have you done? Dalinar dies. The visions were fake ) Hm....

    Lashings are not surges. Order of windrunners: gravity surge, atm pressure surge. Using gravity & pressure => lashings, flying, etc...

    What would she do with the blade? * Tell her family: hey I have this shardblade that I killed papa with, and destroyed the soulcaster with. But yeah forget about that, let's sell it. * Put an ad in the Vedean newspaper: Selling a bright and shiny Shardblade. You deal with a 17 yr girl that was never in a city. Don't ask about papa cause we don't want people to know that he's dead. Or that I killed him. Or that we alse have a broken soulcaster. * PS: I don't know how to unbond the blade, or what unbonding means. (I only heard it in book 2). Or actually summoned the blade, maybe just once. Trust me my offer is genuine. * Oh, why so many assasins suddenly in my room? * Dear brightlord X, yes I will sell you the sword. Thank you for promising not to kill me and my army - one old guy that has a soulcaster (yea don;t kill him to get that too, cause it;s broken and worthless), the guy with a broken leg, and one more guy. Yes, that;s all of us. I trust you won't kill us and take your money back. Because we are all honorable here. Should I go on?

    And I'm saying that if he wouldn't have been strung up in the highstorm, he would not have probably ridden it. And that in book#2 he will probably ride the storm because he wants to, not because he's passing out on a roof and thinks he was having a feverish dream.

    - Lerasium and Tears of Edgli can all change the sDNA of a person. So from this perspective, Honorblades are more the body of Honor than gems are. - Atium could be used as focus, but I don't see a true equivalent here, since Atium is outside the "normal" allomantic table. - Mists ... like Brandon said ... are more like stormlight ... but I don't think stormlight is the "body" of Honor as well... more like the power of creation, which is not a shard's "body". EDIT: wow, Aminar, same thoughts at the same time

    Having investiture does not make something the body of a shard. When Kaladin is infusing, he's not the body of Honor.

    Ha. I see a confirmation He did not learn then... it was ... unintentional (I presume if he would have been near the warm fire in the barracks, he would not have rode out the winds). Then again ... I hope next time is intentional and he will not be strung up again )

    I'm on the camp where losing his wife's memory is the boon, and Renarin's sickness is the curse. Of course, that would mean that Renarin's sickness is cognitive, and he can fixed it himself when he goes Shadesmar

    @Logain, this has been discussed before, many times... I'm also one in the camp that gems are (like atium is for Ruin) the physical aspect of the body of Honor. There are different magic systems however, where for example metal is focus - so metal is not special, but mist(ings,borns) burn metal to gain access to the "real power" from the spiritual realm. On Roshar, it seems to me that stormlight IS the "real power", leaked in the physical realm during highstorms. So comparisons are hard to make.

    My theory was that glyphs on plates act like the framing on the fabrials. They spread a pattern of stormlight, resulting in a (magical) effect.

    Lashing the knives is very possible, and probable. You could have made your point in less than half the number of words you used though
