    @Feather - you forgot that a Shardblade is something amazing, a gift from the Almighty. Touching one and hearing all the screams, seeing the future - certainly the Almighty cursed you, you must be one of the voidbringers to be in pain when touching holy objects.

    I think shardblades come after oaths. In her case, there is only 1 oath. so she got it after the oath when she was a kid. Then she started telling herself lies, and Pattern became as dead as Syl in WoR. After the truth spoken in TwoK, she advanced in level, and Pattern came back, as Syl did after Kal's 3rd oath. Makes sense?

    Syl was getting intelligence. With a weakening bond, Syl was losing herself. Kaladin could not surgebind. Sometimes, he would see her around, acting like a windspren. He would talk to her, and she would become "conscious" for a few seconds, and Kaladin would surgebind again. Then she would become mindless again, take off, and Kaladin would stop surgebinding. It's a spacial thing - further she would get from Kaladin, she would lose herself more. Remember in TwoK when she went back for the leaves, she was afraid she would lose herself being that far away from Kaladin. I don't think Syl died though, as the KR spren died. She was still "alive" when she was arguing with Stormfather, not mindless...

    Brandon said one herald went back for his blade. Since people *are given* shards, it's hard to believe that they will bond spren. And since Nalan is killing surgebinders, it's hard to believe he would allow them to work with him. Hence, there is no real *Skybreaker*. Even more interesting when a highspren will bond I bet Nalan will be furious!

    * Yeah, Shallan understands Kaladin as much as she understands Renarin. Or any other radiant. No, she should marry Adolin. There are enough things there w/o a triangle. * Moash is going to be instrumental in uniting Mr. T and Dalinar.

    Maybe. But she should be able to make illusions w/o drawing first. And I think she now can. On the bad side ... she HATES Pattern. Here's an entry for Odium.

    It is clearly stated in the WoR quotes from WoR that Cryptics - are much more liberal than other spren. They don't even need oaths. They need truths. There was the story of a guy that was an awesome fighter, but not that smart. He wanted simple oaths, but was bonded by a cryptic. Hence, he could not progress to level 5. If he would have been bonded by a honorspren for example, he would have made lvl 5 easy probably. So cryptics are ... very different (and dangerous). They also give you access to shardblade immediately.

    Yeah, Kaladin was cut with a shardblade. Twice. Also, his body (and especially Szeth's) was basically blown away multiple times, and stormlight basically re-knitted in seconds the damage. Think of the visual - muscles moving around and reknitting, skin growing in seconds... Szeth got his eyes burnt. And fell from the sky. The Lopen grew a new hand! Plus, maybe Jasnah's heart is in the wrong place.

    I think there are many ppl that: * want Adolin to stay human * think that Skybreakers is way more appropriate for him (he's confident, took justice in his own hands) * want him to become evil to end up with a Shalladin In TwoK I was thinking he will be the dustbringer (brave/obedient). Right now, he's a wild card Willshaper is resolute/builder. Somehow, that's not really Adolin.

    * Isn't Rlain in Urithiru? What happens when the everstorm hits there? * Isn't Shinovar safer? No highstorm might mean no everstorm * Heralan was no skybreaker - no glyphs on his blade, no glyphs on his plate, killing indiscriminately - there was no justice there.

    Erm, no she doesn't. All spren that were bounded, except highspren, died at the Recreance. Most of the spren population was bonded as well. Recreance was like a Spren Desolation. I'm assuming ~2200 total spren population at recreance, ~2000 were bonded. Currently, there are way more spren than that, with Honor's splintering and all.

    Really I don't get all these wild theories. Fabrials, illusions, healings in Shadesmar..? Kaladin was in way worse conditions than 2 knife wounds, people. And Jasnah's been a surgebinder double the time Kaladin has been one. She healed herself with stormlight. Simple. More interesting is ... what's with the burns?

    I think Shallan is also level 3, like Kaladin, now. When speaking her second truth (that she hates Pattern), she used her lightweaving abilities w/o drawing.

    Adolin seemed really happy when he found out Kaladin was a KR. I really really hope there won't be any triangle ...

    No oaths of eating for me, but I did come up with "spren inhabit the plate" theory ... Go figure I got the wrong kind of shard. Also, the theory that Dalinar is #10, before the term "bondsmith" was known, as he had issues with "guiding" (like Kal had issues with "protecting/leading" and Shallan had issues with "honest")
