  1. What is that third picture??? A cigar? A cocoon?? Some sort of pastry? Maybe a hive or nest of some sort? I’m incredibly confused.
  2. Me at the beginning: ok is a squid Me at the end: is definitely not a squid +1
  3. Yeah this is what I thought too. If both people can read each other’s future, that then changed their future, which changes the future the other reads, which changes their own future, etc etc etc. it just cancels out.
  4. I just realized I actually never explained that I'm not gonna be on any of the Discords anymore. I'm on a school computer and they decided to block Discord after 3 years. RIP my unfinished Discord Channel projects. =P

So basically I pulled a Queen but on Discord and not the Shard.

    Spoiler

Context if you don't know what's up with Queen: We're assuming that Queen's school computer just blocked the shard. Because that's better than assuming Corona got her.

  5. Okay, prompt: Shadow. Context: I want to write this in a sorta fairy-tale style, like The Girl Who Looked Up, or The Dog and the Dragon. However, I can’t think of any good moral lessons that go with shadows, so I think I’ll have this be a sorta, corrupted fairy tale. Like how Disney massacres all the morals of the original tales so that they’re almost completely different stories, I’m going to write this as if it had an actual moral to begin with, but over many generations it became lost and now it’s just a story. Because it’s easier to be intentionally wrong than to be intentionally right. (also I might turn it into a magic system, or an in-world story for a world I haven’t made yet.) Shadows Well, that was a disappointing ending, wasn’t it? I’m glad you think so, because it’s supposed to be. I’m thinking of ideas for what the ‘original’ story might have been, before it was ‘warped’ into this, and I think it might actually be good, but you guys are stuck with this version. Thank you, and goodnight.
  6. I agree with this, and I think another possibility is that Taravangian just knows something that Rayse didn’t. Odium isn’t omniscient or omnipresent. Rayse was just a man, a very very powerful man, but still a man. Taravangian spent a lot of time with Dalinar, he could know something about him that Rayse didn’t.
  7. I’m almost certain that stuff can in fact be soulcast into Aluminum. I believe it says so in WoR. Edit: Yep, confirmed by the Coppermind pages on both Aluminum and Soulcasting.
  8. Syl didn’t want to become human, she wanted to know what it was like to have depression. Completely different context.
  9. Yeah, I’ve never thought that Kel let the Set.
  10. People keep talking about Syladin saying “oh it’s possible now, we saw spren bodies in the physical realm”. Everyone seems to be glossing over the part about how those bodies are kinda super DEAD. Being in the physical realm is unnatural for them, it’s horrible. Even if you found a way to keep them alive, it’s probably excruciatingly painful.
  11. He doesn’t necessarily need to be trying to blend in, most Kandra take humanoid forms even when not on assignment. What other form would a Kandra take? Also, not all Kandra are perfectly sane, missing a spike could explain the erratic behavior.
  12. Yeah most likely. You don’t even need Regrowth, just normal Stormlight does the trick.
  13. Yeah, there was literally that entire chapter where King T is repeatedly thinking about how he isn’t going to get a funeral because they will burn him as a traitor. The chapter where he disbands the Diagram iirc.
  14. Apparently, you don’t. I advocated to save gears for 1 cycle, because it was genuinely suspicious that no Elims had messed with the chain. After though, when it was between Reading and Gears, I was all for lynching gears. (Although I voted Fadran because they were more sus to me at the time. But I would have also voted gears that cycle.) Further evidence on my vil status: If you look at one of the cycles, you’ll notice that I only had one vote, but it was removed. I wasn’t in any danger of being lynched, so why would someone remove that lynch? Because I’m village, and that vote was removed by SfS to prove to me that they were a vote remover. ....okay, upon rereading that, it doesn’t actually prove I’m village, it just proves that SfS thinks I’m vil. So it proves that me and SfS are either V/V, E/V or V/E. Not both Elim though. So that’s something.
  15. And honestly, even if TJ is Elim-aligned, it wouldn’t matter, as they don’t count for parity, and their ability doesn’t benefit the Elim team. And honestly, that fact is probably even more evidence that TJ is village. They probably would’ve realized that ElimTLR isn’t important to the Elim team, and so they’d have better chances of winning with the Vil. And supporting that fact is the fact that they aligned very early on. So honestly, everything points to TJ being Vil, which points to me and Fadran being Vil.
  16. I’m...the entire reason we’ve caught the one Elim that we have. PM chain was my idea remember? And if you think TJ is Elim (and honestly he might be), why not target the other person he cleared as OB, Fadran?
  17. Honestly I doubt it’s Hemalurgic. That could be his goal, but from what we see, it seems all the spren died from just being in the physical realm, not from spikings or attempted spikings.
  18. Probably just because Kal doesn’t know that Zahel is a Magic Immortal God Warrior Alien. He doesn’t go to Zahel for the same reason he doesn’t go to any of the officers or soldiers. In his mind, Zahel is just a retired sword fighting instructor, not very useful in a situation like that.
  19. I mean...calling established and very real mental illnesses ‘cringe’ is honestly super tacky but whatever floats your goat I guess... This was actually one of the best reveals imo, because there actually are some very subtle but very clear hints in tWoK. A couple times she thinks about how she needs 10 heartbeats to do something, and when the Patternblade was revealed, we all thought it was referring to that, but obviously Living Blades don’t need 10 heartbeats to be summoned. So there were hints that Shallan had a dead shardblade since the very beginning.
  20. They might just have the lightweaving tied to a sphere, and they’re just always in disguise? Mayyybe...coppermind just mentions that they were siblings and that Vin was older. Doesn’t say whether the sister was actually a twin or not, and it’s been too long since I’ve read MB to remember if it’s in the books.
  21. A few people earlier were asking about Odium being the shard of Passion. I’m fairly certain that this isn’t true. Rayse’s continuing admonition that he was the shard of passion is what was weakening him, as we see from Sja-Anat’s and Taravangian’s chapters. Rayse didn’t want to admit that he was the Shard of Hate, he wanted to be the shard of Passion. So he kept acting against the Shard’s true will, and this erosion and dichotomy was what was weakening him.
  22. Daaaaaaang. Every time I think we’ve found everything there is to know... There really is always another secret, isn’t there? Brandon is a genius.
  23. Then that specific conversation was with the same Mraize. Or it could have been a lightweaving. Or identical twins. I just realized, have we ever seen a twin in the cosmere? At all? Any twins?
  24. Ok, here me out here, what if there are two Mraizes. It would fix most of the inconsistencies, and we know that Mraize is a title, not a name.
