  1. I think that the barkeep definitely matters, and I think it is literally some sort of magical Fortune/Connection related thing, but I doubt we’ve seen it before. I think it’s just foreshadowing for the future, not really enough to theorize about at the moment. Unless the barkeep is Kvothe and Brandon is setting up the most epic crossover of all time.

    A Quest!

Tualak noticed a man sitting on the other side of the room that he hadn’t before. Was he dissecting something? In a bar?? That doesn’t seem very sanitary, Tualak thought.

    A Quest!

Alas, it appeared that Cancei was a rather deranged fellow, for he was not in the common room of an inn. For the narrator had not written him entering the inn.

    A Quest!

Alas, Cancei was speaking aloud to an empty room, as the narrator had apparently not read the OP and had not written Cancei into the current scene, which is the nearly empty tavern of an inn. Tualak finished his song, and the Woman dropped a penny into his drink. Tualak was eager to get back to his conversation with Gaboranth, but he decided to be polite to this kind woman, even though she ruined his drink. He didn’t need the money, he was a court-bard, sponsored by Dukes and Chancellors across the continent, but most people never donated anything. They just took his playing for granted. Even the rabid mob of fans earlier hadn’t offered a single coin. “Thank you for the donation m’lady, too many these days take minstrels like me for granted. I am Tualak, head court-bard in this province.”

    A Quest!

As Tualak played, he thought he heard someone singing a harmony to his song. Very quietly, as if the person was very far away, or as if they were whispering. Could that be a...no, impossible, all the way out here in Heradon? I must just be hearing things. While Tualak puzzled over this mysterious harmony, a woman entered the Inn, apparently leading a lost merchant. She turned to walk away, but instead came towards Tualak.
  6. I think that specific part is pretty original, or at least it’s better thought out than some others, I was just referring to the fact that there’s always some version of the “Hoid is Ado” theory floating around. Yeah here’s a WoB from 2017 that’s rather similar. Not exactly the same, but similar.
  7. Cool Link, Twilight Princess version I think. Does not fit the season. 7/10
  8. I believe this is one of the most Recurring theories on the shard, and Brandon always leaves questions related to it unanswered. We do know that Brandon had the idea of Hoid before he developed Adonalsium or any of the “Adonalsium being shattered” plot line. He could have integrated Hoid into the Ado story later, but I personally doubt it.
  9. “A Quest!” It’s just a small lil RP thing for me to get my RP fix without the commitment and time requirement of a huge RP like most of the ones here. Gonna officially start it sometime in the next 2 ish hours.
  10. I ALSO WISH THAT I ALSO WISH PEOPLE WOULD JOIN MY QUEST RP

I am a dannex, and I am saddened by your dillema of not being able to be ookla.

  12. I do think that Rlain is probably gay, but I sorta doubt Renarin is. And even if they are both gay, I don't think I'd ship them. It seems too obvious. Have the two outcast characters get together. It's too predictable imo. Oh also, Quazzi, this isn't the RoW spoiler boards, so might wanna edit that post a bit. I edited my quote of it.
  13. What did you think the back 5 were going to be about then?
  14. Hmmmm. I can’t think of anything that explicitly disproves this...but it does seem a little unlikely. It does make me want to theorize about who Chanaranach is though, that’s a really interesting quote. We might be able to figure out who she was by figuring out how her Madness would manifest. We know that the Heralds Insaneness is not normal crazy, it’s magic crazy, and it’s influenced by the divine attribute they are associated with. WOB: Chanaranach’s divine attribute is “Brave/Obedient” Any way that could fit with Shallan’s mother? Maybe she was obedient to a fault and tried to kill her daughter when told to?
  15. Yeah, we’d just have to hope that any Village Cambrics don’t use it and that the Elims don’t have one =P It does seem like the type of roll a GM would give to an Elim though...
  16. Okay, I can still work with this. If we reach LyLo and still have no idea who the Elims are, nobody vote. If anybody votes, we all vote them. We either catch an Elim, or all die and lose. But odds are we were about to lose anyway, it’s LyLo in this hypothetical situation. So at the very least we can keep the Elims from winning.
  17. Oh yeah I remember that. However, Hoid was offered a Shard. Maybe that’s why he refused it, Whimsy didn’t suit him. It wasn’t the one he wanted, if he wanted one at all. Nothing there says that the other 16 people present couldn’t have offered him Whimsy.
  18. Would Dalinar have stayed awake during the suppression if he had been in the tower? Does Figgldygrak mean anything? Was the shard that Hoid was offered Whimsy? Was it any of the Shards that we know? Can Rysn eat meat or harm people now that she is a Dawnshard? Or was that only a thing for the Dawnshard Hoid formerly had? (A question this specific might get RAFOd, so you could be sneaky and phrase it simply as “Can Rysn eat meat?”) (Earlier book question) If we had seen Syl in the cognitive realm during the period of time where Kal had broken his oaths, would she have been a deadeyes?
  19. Sign me up! Okay, but theoretically, if everyone died on the same cycle, which faction would win?
  20. Do the surviorists picture Kelsier with one eye spiked? I agree that he does in fact have a spiked eye, but do the survivorists know that he does? Is that how he is depicted in their religion?
  21. Wow that’s lucky. What was your system for randomizing the powers? This is what I’d do, just making it up off the top of my head. 1. Flip a coin for Allomancy or Feruchemy 2. Roll a D16 (not literally, I’d use a random number generator online, I don’t think I have an actual D16) to choose the metal. 3. Roll another D16, if they get a 16 they become either a Full Feruchemist or a Mistborn. (Because I’d make this as close to actual era 1 as possible, so you either have one metal, or all the metals. You could adjust it to make it possible to have 2-3. Probably would be more balanced.) 4. Roll 2 D16. If both rolls are a 16, you got yourself a Fullborn. So Fullborn is theoretically possible with my system, but a 1/4096 chance. So basically not gonna happen.
