  1. It makes it so mich worse when it's found in your area. (I mean that story could be anywhere in Canada but pure odds puts it near Toronto as opposed to any one other location)
  2. From what we know, they use other predictions (death rattles) to update the diagram and so far we have not seen any distinct and certain failing of the diagram, the closest thing was mistaking the number of factions in the succession war. It's also possible, that the end goal of the mind that created the diagram is not the apparent end goal of the diagram, if he was so brilliant he may have made it so it would accomplish something by misleading the imterpreters, such as how attempting to seperate Kaladin from Dalinar pushed him to saw syl and speak new oaths, and indirectly lead to him killing/beating szeth and szeth getting Nightblood, wherever that leads. for the first part, consider if the diagram, knowing it's not perfect included "if A then B" then it could be absurdly accurate despite variables and unlikely scenarios depending on how vague A and B are. And improving it will smaller predictions can help solve uncertaintys where he wasn't sure what would happen (death rattles)
  3. Wait, where do we know she is an allomancer from?
  4. I mean, I have relatives that read Sanderson, but arn't waiting particularly for this book, one person at my school who has read only warbreaker, and one parent who has not yet read the pre-release chapters. (And a sibling who has not read anything but reckoners and rithmatist) So I'm counting the seconds. I don't even know when I get it, only "before the 15th"
  5. Or the fact that they would only really see them in decomposing corpses, because really, you can't cut someone in half unless you actively try to, even harder when they have carapace armor. And the parshmen corpses they allow to be left somewhere by their brethren so they wouldn't come across those small gem hearts.
  6. The wait is made so much harder when I know exactly one person who reads Sanderson that I see regularly and they just finished reReading WoR. I have no one to regularly talk to about Oathbringer. I mean sure there is this forum but it's more about shockingly respectful arguments and endless jokes THEN HOW MANY SECONDS UNTILL THE 14TH / 15TH.
  7. I mean, it's mostly a comparison to he Standered style of villain from fantasy, so look at the various representatives of pure evil in many fantasy series as opposed to, say, Ruin. I can't remember elantris to well, but compare most villains in Brandon's books to someone like Sauron or sauromon (I misspelled both almost 100%)
  8. How in the world did I not get that... It's not like there's many people with rin to end their name...
  9. Can you link to arcanum? Also, what exactly is it?
  10. We only have two so far, but wit greeting someone just returning to Roshar/PR in the epilogue.
  11. I'm sorry, who is that one with? I honestly can't remember and I know it's going to be something really really obvious, so there is no chance of me ever figuring it out on my own.
  12. Did I miss a character being dead for multiple books when I read tWoT? I don't remember this...
  13. The issue there is that those two Spren probably want each other dead and have opposite goals.
  14. Also, Coreb was one the moment He took the shards when Kaladin didn't want them.
  15. Not Kaladin, Coreb, the guy who took the shards, he would be immediately promoted as Moash was despite not having bones it yet.
  16. Anyone in possession of ashardblade is immediately promoted remember?
  17. I will say, Amaran did murder a lighteyes of (third?) highest rank in cold blood for shards, a massive crime, then attempted to steal more from Dalinar (WoR) so...
  18. I honestly was as well, besides isn't bondsmith the order closest to Honor? Why would it be the only one to bond only 1/3 Honor side Spren?
  19. I can't check right now but was it "their Spren WERE understood to be unique" or "their Spren WAS understood to be unique" Implications obvious.
  20. Seems good to me, but could it also maybe be that multiple people could bond the same God-Spren? and that those three other murals are not bonded Spren but Honor, Cultivation, and something else?
  21. I wasn't sure about that one, but the idea was an alloy of all the solid forms of all the shards' investiture, just to throw the idea in the ring to be immediately denied because of something. i mean we know that both lerasium and Atium can allow with commen metal, so why not? In every likly good it's not but my first idea was a nugget of adonalsium's power, so I figured I'd just say what I did instead.
  22. Any chance he includes crystal under rocks, so an aether? What would happen if you tried to make an alloy of the solid form of each shard's power (harmonium but every god metal)? Could you harm a shard with a part of it's god metal (odium's metal or something?) last I checked all the god metals were considered elements. Just throwing a few ideas in, I'm not the most knowledgeable person here, I would consider myself mid level in knowledge so these could very well all be impossible because of some tiny detail or wording or something.
  23. How? Is it a website or something?
  24. Hah, that's what I'm doing, but I'm trying to do everything I might need to do early so I hopefully don't have to ignore class, I've already read every one of my textbooks, done all pre-assigned homework, and voted for a test to be Monday.
  25. Hah, people commenting about taking a day off while I'm just going to read every millisecond a teacher is not talking and most of the rest to (I'm going to finish everything assigned for around that time before it's even given to us)
