  1. Sons of Honor: Bring back herald ---> bring back church Diagram: Not go extinct.
  2. I don't think he has ever been in the sons of honor... I do believe you are mixing up your secret groups now.
  3. I've see the Diagram like the Kandra, a secret plan that will backstab Odium at the exact moment he needs them.
  4. This was something i actually posted on the full book reaction thread, thanks for making a full topic out of it!
  5. Probably already mentioned, but how Syl turned herself in was really funny.
  6. Shouldn't that be "Kaladin and Dalinar can both use Adhesion, but Kaladin cannot use Spiritual Adhesion."?
  7. Any chance it's the investiture in each highstorm improving lifespans on this planet? I swear i saw a WoB somewhere to the effect that the highstorms helped heal them so they don't really get sick, could this also have an effect on biological age?
  8. More or less exactly what it says, humans were the invaders and were on Odium's side in the beginning. That or she is referring to only the wave that arrived with Odium for the first desolation.
  9. Basic moto of the site: We can't be wrong if we predict every single possibility!
  10. In oathbringer we see Renarin has bonded a spren corrupted by an unmade's touch, and it allows him to see the future. This made me wonder if other orders would be capable of bonding a corrupted spren and what unique abilities might come out of these bonds? Or is Renarin a unique case that can not be replicated? Assuming that he is not a unique case this could be very interesting and possibly form new orders of radiants. From what we know the base abilities of Renarin are not removed by this bond and he seems to be in full control other then his episodes. We already know that truthwatchers bonding a corrupt mistspren have occasions where they can see the future, and this future would appear to very often be correct, but not always. If we look at corrupted lesser spren that we know or suspect are related to radiant spren and compare the how the distortions work to effects on those spren, and the CR changes to those spren from the few corrupted spren we saw in shadesmar we may be capable of guessing the effects these corruptions have on the nature and effects of the higher spren equivalents of those spren. I don't have the book on hand, but i will attempt to add what information i can from it regarding the corrupted spren as soon as possible. What do you guys think? is it possible to have new distinct orders with modified spren? Could this be a boost to the strength of radiants if/when the unmade (i can't remember her name) defects from odium's side like is implied? or is Renarin a one off case that we will never see again? I hope i did the oathbringer spoilers tag correctly, please tell me if i didn't.
  11. Yes, but the Royal locks are related to the returned and divine breath, it's because of their returned ancestor. Also, according to Vasher she can probably change her appearence like he can. For why i used Azure not Viviena, i wasn't certain if he caught that or not, so it would be confusing to use Viviena with almost no downside to using Azure.
  12. @bo.montier Well, if you ask a question on here, odds are someone online can answer it.
  13. The difference here is mostly that Brandon had always intended those characters to be a part of stormlight archives and mostly made warbreaker as a way to introduce them. Even if you look back at WoK Prime, Zahel is more or less the same character he is here, minus a few colour metaphors. I don't mind if characters he has always intended to be a big part of the series have larger parts, you really don't need to have read warbreaker to understand them, it just is nice i find.
  14. I was mostly referencing the part where you said you needed to be on Scadrial to use hemalurgy because it came from there.
  15. Hemalurgy can be used anywhere in the cosmere, per ars arcana of one of the mistborn books (not sure what one off the top of my head) Also, in this book we see awakening (nightblood, wit's doll moving, presumably azure's sword) It would seem paintings for invested people work off world although that is kinda unclear how it would work. We see Hoid using Yolen magic in warbreaker and stormlight archives with his storytelling Vasher and Azure can both change their appearence with awakening and divine breath and also, Vasher not dying is a pretty good sign he can use stormlight for breath (yes IK there is a WoB on this i don't know where to find it) The only requirement to become an allomancer is genetic or lerasium, same with feruchamy the only location based magic is from Sel Well, ninja'd making a long post.
  16. Well, i finished this book almost exactly 24 hours after sitting at my front door waiting for the mail, so 10 hours of reading time, and, WOW. It appears Venli is our first parshendi radiant Moash is now a traitor I like the contrast between the symbol at the top of the chapter for both Dalinar and Dalinar flashbacks, one being white, one being black. I honestly thought there that Dalinar was going to end up being Odium's champion there Were those epigraph letters possibly Wit trying to get help from other shards? Lopen. Need i say more? Every. Single. Thing. (him saying the second ideal by accident made me laugh) Rock is willing to kill for Kaladin Anyone else think Szeth swore to obey Lift at first? What happened to the thunderclast under the ocean that Odium mentioned? The one larger then the others? Anyone else think that the diagram might have been made in such a brilliant way that it's goal is to intentionally fail and help our radiants? it's actually done that a fair few times so far with Kaladin progressing due to it, and seemingly brilliant T left a hidden message that Odium can't see.
  17. For me, I would have to say A tin with (connection is aluminium right?). I'm already naturally very quiet and hard to notice, so this would make the perfect thief/assassin/sniper (etc) as no one would notice you and you can sense everything...
  18. The only answer I can possibly give to this is a pulser with mental speed storing Oathbringer has taken over 30 hours to arrive from a store 10 minutes away where it has been sitting since the 13th.
  19. So why would chromium be the only F metal to be able to directly effect others rather then just one's self? Wouldn't every result be more like you being the butterfly in the Standard example of chaos theory as opposed to you being an outside force? So it would functionally be you unconsiosly being omnipotent with perfect knowledge of the future, so you cause exactly what you want to happen, but only because you indirectly unknowingly made it happen right?
  20. I will say one thing though, Vin and kelsier would need to know about guns to not be immediately killed from a bullet to the head, I doubt they would be able to block a shard of aluminum or hazekiller round traveling over the speed of sound without prior warning.
  21. What would happen with his luck if you conflict their interests? Would it focus exclusively on the higher priority or split? Also, how does the luck choose how to go about it's goals? Does it choose the most likely option or the option that they want most with their sub-priorities? if it chooses the most likly way to achieve their highest desire, it's pretty simply to kill them, they don't want something to happen to them? Make it more simple probability that they die instead of you stopping that thing, especially if it is internal luck. If their luck splits with conflicting priorities then it's also pretty simple, just provide conflicting goals with living and whatever else they want. Also, in theory, it's really unlikely but possible you just shooting them will kill them, I see their luck as sort of if they have a 1/10 to live, they now have a 1/1.000000001 to live, but not 1/1.
  22. Just thinking about it, I can't remember offhand what metal stores connection, but wouldn't that have both the effect of no one being willing to fight you AND when storing being functionally invisible to everyone? So you would be more unkillable then a gold/gold and be more able to ambush someone then any other combination right? Though it is weak to pure dumb luck of being hit by accident.
  23. The timing could hardly be better for me, my teachers have stopped giving assignments because they have to finish reports right now, so we are pretty much sitting around in class. Perfect for someone who just wants to read.
  24. I probably won't use this, but considering how focused a lot of the conversations here are, I feel like this could be a good thing! Thanks for making it!
  25. I thought Vin was dead though?
