[OB] Spoilers* Did We Just Spot the Kandra?
Blacksmithki replied to Obnoxiousspren's topic in Stormlight Archive
The Kandra mostly stayed in a complete form or in q complete blob, not halfway like that thing. -
Hah I guessed we would see the copycat in action! What are the odds shallen finds someone like herself to bait the copycat into attacker her? Just stab that person in the hand and stay on your guard around a day later!
-
How exactly do these copycat murders occur? Does it kill them then set it up to be like the murders or does it kill them in the same way? Is it a physical entity or is it a poltergeist style effect? Does it kill them from the cognitive/spiritual realm or from the physical? I'm guessing we find out before the end of part one

[OB] Inside cover art!! Finally!
Blacksmithki replied to Overlord Jebus's topic in Stormlight Archive
Races definitely have an existence outside of racism, it's just people looking different, and racism is considering a race inferior or superior or any other. People looking different is not exclusively related to seeing those differences as a sign of superiority or inferiority.- 321 replies

[OB] Why a Reverse Everstorm is significant
Blacksmithki replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
What quotes? The only one I can find that might be about that are far from definitive. (Old of design for example) -
The point is that everyone assumed her dead.

On this idea of voidspren not being of odium because a void doesn't fit well with hatred, their name could just be a name given by humans and not their proper name, like for the Dustbringers (releasers). Many Spren have somewhat less then accurate names, highspren would be lawspren, Honorspren would be better named moralityspren, and cryptics are anything but cryptic.

Storms can vary in height, it's possible that they have a very rare rainstorm that carries a small amount of crem with it and it built up over around 3-4K years from the very rare bit of rain.

@Stormsurfer Incase you are serious I believe it is pronounced sssss like the ending of hiss (sound people make for snakes) Zed without the D (like the pronunciation of the letter Z zed) Th as in death (not eth, just th)

[OB] [Edgedancer Spoilers] Thought's on Lift in Oathbringer
Blacksmithki replied to eveorjoy's topic in Stormlight Archive
So most of the surges seem to require direct contact to trigger, but could Lift use stormlight to grow plants and use those to reduce someone's friction? If so she could take out a whole army by making thier footing a bit more slippery so they fall if they put much pressure down on an angle. She would be more effective then multiple Blackthorns.- 34 replies

[OB] [Edgedancer Spoilers] Thought's on Lift in Oathbringer
Blacksmithki replied to eveorjoy's topic in Stormlight Archive
Lift makes him trip because the floor is suddenly ice and then atarts flying at high speed through the curved tunnels accelerating all the time only to eventually whack him with a shardstick at insane speeds. Meanwhile he tries to stop her by making her run into a sticky patch on the wall that won't stop her only take the soles clean off her shoes and makes her trip and keep going if she hits them at all.- 34 replies

[OB] [Edgedancer Spoilers] Thought's on Lift in Oathbringer
Blacksmithki replied to eveorjoy's topic in Stormlight Archive
Thankfully shard plate would prevent prevent that and she doesn't have to worry about high speed friction injuries with, well, control over friction, and stormlight seems to prevent damage from high speed collisions and G forces from stopping.- 34 replies

Yah, I remember Ishar, Taln, and Ash, and (blanking on name) Darkness. None of the other's orders.

[OB] [Edgedancer Spoilers] Thought's on Lift in Oathbringer
Blacksmithki replied to eveorjoy's topic in Stormlight Archive
I would assume you could stop her while she is moving as long as you apply enough stormlight to counteract her momentum, though if she is moving fast enough that might just end up ripping off her skin if the effect is skin deep, or dislocating an limb if it goes deeper.- 34 replies

[OB] [Edgedancer Spoilers] Thought's on Lift in Oathbringer

I feel like that is unlikely, because isn't actively used investiture keyed to the user? Like how only the awakener could steal the breath from thier creations?- 34 replies

What order is each herald? Because the windrunners had the attribute of leadership.

[OB] Why a Reverse Everstorm is significant
Blacksmithki replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
Because we have three sources capable of seeing the future, at least one capable of predicting it and one who planned this, any of whom could mention it. (Honor, Cultivation, nightform, tarvagian, odium) also, if Honor knew what this storm was because it had come before, why would he give no actual advice on how to deal with it, such as, oh btw there is a storm coming the wrong direction, or even just show it in a vision? That would help prevent a load of destruction and Honor already seems to think the storm is unstoppable as he isn't advising "prevent the storm from coming" only "survive it" especially when it would fit with his champion plan of buy time. Also, anyone who has heard the listeners recite thier oral history (say to the next generation?) would have heard the prediction of the storm. Also, since stormform can sense the storm and tell all sorts of information about it, something else might be able to. There are so many ways everyone could have learned about this storm without it having happened before. Also, here is another car analogy, if a car passes you, then a bit later a car that is essentially the same passes you, you don't call that car a new car but like the last one, you say the same car passed you twice. Edit: Also anyone with whatever is happening the Renarin could predict stuff. -

Not if she is stuck to a specific part of the wall instead of the wall in general, but if she was just stick to the wall in general then yes she could.- 34 replies

[OB] Why a Reverse Everstorm is significant
Blacksmithki replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
A car is distinctly different, if this storm had come before, it would be considered the same storm coming again not a new storm nearly identical to the old ones.
