  1. The issue I have with almost every theory, is, why every order but one? Every knight was willing to kill thier Spren? Someone they are really close to for many orders?
  2. It has been stated earlier (or elsewhere?) from a WoB and from warbreaker that the locks follow the children of whoever is in direct line for the throne or something along those lines. not the children of royalty, so no, they would not as they wouldn't actually have the locks.
  3. Considering one of the most important parts of most legal systems is what the average or ordinary person would do or think, don't you think that having ordinary people is important? Yes we could do better in terms of impartiality but you say it's all but the single worst option, however, having any individual that has to consistently work with "officers of the peace" (police, judges etc) would form a significant bias even compared to the one juries tend to have towards the police. in fact you specifically say that we remove anyone qualified to make judgements about human behaviour and the only person more capable of speaking about human behaviour then ordinary people would be psychologists and sociologists, and they already tend to get called in to testify about exactly that.
  4. That's too bad, I always found it to be one of his best books. Try looking it up online, I would expect most online stores to have it.
  5. I mean based on tWoK chapter (19?) "starfalls" it would appear the visions have at minimum a decent degree of variance and capacity to react to the receiver, so I feel like it is perfectly capable of answering his questions assuming he doesn't make them think he is insane, though they probably will so it's unlikely he will actually get information.
  6. That is a direct and major issue with it, however, it is clearly a major part of returning the desolation as it would appear the storm at the minimum marks the coming of a desolation and at most is how it will start and be the source of voidspren
  7. Jasnah also said that the everstorm was not how it had happened (Desolation) in the past in the epilogue of WoR
  8. The parshendi were never enslaved, we are discussing the enslavment of the parshmen, the parshmen willingly abandoned thier gods for dullform, the parshmen were forced to have no form.
  9. I think we can add to this by saying that, if you make the best possible decision available to you based on what information you have and have no reason to believe is false, are you wrong? Now if you learn twenty years later that you made a less then amazing decision because your information was wrong were you wrong to make that decision in the first place?
  10. @BlackYeti the liar of partinel? the lightweaver of rens? I haven't heard of either of those.
  11. It's not so much a theory as it was directly stated that if you leave one somewhere, it will stand around doing nothing waiting to be told what to do. (Can someone find that part? I'm on mobile)
  12. @WhiteLeeopard To add to what @SLNC said considering how often the sadeas' use information and spy networks and how well known the ghostbloods seem to be, it would be more likly then not that they have connections though I agree they are unlikely to be part of the ghostbloods.
  13. @SLNC Okay, thanks, I understand, but I must say that Mraize wouldn't move against her for helping Adolin in a way that was unknowingly against the GBs, he would most likely force her to cease, then possibly move against her. But yes he could very much move against Shallen should she continue to help Adolin then.
  14. If I may add, it would appear that @SLNC is saying that Shallen's actions in her investigation were disloyal to the ghostbloods, and honestly, I don't see how, it's not like the've told her to not investigate or to not help Adolin. @SLNC if you arn't saying that please say so, you would appear to be implying such very directly. Edit: double ninja'd seconds before I was going to post
  15. That was intentional to create a way for Rysn to take the lead if I remember correctly, I believe that they directly said that after she broke her legs falling.
  16. unfortunatly I can't use @IIINsickly because i can't tell what letters to use, It would seem most likly due to the various issues I have had with colds hat the plague itself would not be deadly however would cause more severe effects related to colds that could be deadly such as chest/lung infections or bronchitis (I have always had issue with colds but they never cause me an issue, they devolop into something worse) and the usage of the term terrifying in the WoB could have been that to the purelakers such a plague would be terrifying, but it'll probably go away by the next highstorm whenever that is.
  17. I feel like the scene from the cover could make a likly ending to a part, if I remember correctly it's Jasnah on the cover and it most likely would be a climactic scene.
  18. @WhiteLeeopard I would assume that the power referred to was either the lord ruler or Because if I remember correctly it used the word regularly to refer to the amount of power held by individuals and I would assume it's not just a regular mistborn that they are comparing to the powers on Roshar
  19. I would assume it's different because I believe those diseases were already very severe and they just became deadlier, and on Roshar, well it's the commen cold, I doubt it could cause that severe harm unless you had pretty much no immune system.
  20. He comments he won it by forcing a shardbearer off a cliff if I remember correctly
  21. @WhiteLeeopard I do believe that arcanum unbound compared the strength of certain people from mistborn era one to multiple people from stormlight, so Kelsier probably wouldn't be quite so overwhelming (it said something along the lines of no world other then Roshar do people often obtain so much power, which presumably refers the heralds) but i agree it would be an issue with stormlight being stand alone.
  22. Do you mean that each floor should be a symmetrical design with all diameters of the circle as the axis (plural of axis?) from a bird's eye view? Because it can't plausibly be like a sphere in terms of symmetry.
  23. Wait, has it been confirmed that is what the plague in the pure lake is?
  24. It's possible Sanderson was being deliberately unclear, for it to not have been him someone else would have had to have written the way of kings, included quotes from Nohadon, and everyone would have to assume Nohadon wrote it, who if you don't remember was really well known and even given a second name for the things he did (Nohadon)
  25. Does anyone know of a way to fix the ones that aren't loading? EX: 1x5xwg.jpg appears in a small box with a faint grey outline in Standered font.
