Ok, this theory might seem a little crazy, but if it turns out to actually be true, it would have a huge impact on the Cosmere! so, starting off: Devotion and Dominion were splintered, and their power was moved into the Cognitive Realm. in the Arcanim Unbounded essay about Sel, it says: Now, we have seen evidence that a self-aware Splinter could pick up a Shard, like [SH spoilers] Since Dominion and Devotion are already somewhat Reunited, they could potentially be picked up by a person, or a Seon, or a Skaze, or whatever. EXCEPT! this United Shard could already have been picked up, by the PLANET ITSELF(!), because it has ties to all three realms, enabling it to use the full power of the Shard, Connection to both of the shards, enabling it to pick it up easily, and a self-awareness, which could allow the Planet of Sel to choose for itself. This could be that something that might be happening on Sel that Khriss speculates about. What do you guys think? Could it be true, or has the taint on Saidin affected me more than I think?

if we look at how Shallan explains symmetry in words in WoR, she says that in words, the letter h can be counted for any other letter, which is why Nohadon is symmetrical. so, the word Honor is also symmetrical. might have something to do with symmetry on Roshar.

oh, one more: would an inanimate object, such as a rock, be able to pick up a Shard, if it were given enough Investiture to become sentient? this is similar to asking if a spren could pick up a Shard, which until recently i thought the answer would be no, but then (SH spoilers) but what I really wanted to know if it would have more power over the Shard, than (more SH)

1. what determines whether or not something could pick up a Shard? (or in other words, how come a rock could not pick up a shard, and if the rock were sentient, could it pick up a shard, and why?) 2. could a self-aware robot pick up a shard? Why? 3. could one of the Sleepless pick up a Shard? if so, would all of the little cremlings suddenly dissapear, or would something more complicated happen? if not, why not?

his claim that feruchemy is not completely end-neutral is correct, but his reasons are incorrect. if you had an object on a spring, it could increase its weight on its way down, and decrease its weight on the way up, it would continue to move farther and farther, which would produce energy, and would therefore be end-positive. the reverse, trying to make it move less and less, by increasing weight on the way up, and decreasing on the way down, would only work for just a short time, because it would stop moving, and would stop consuming energy. the end-positive is more end-positive than the end-negative is end-negative. (this might be true for other situations, but I'm not sure, though.)

hey, for me these show an image that says "Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting." Is that just my computer, or is that a broader problem that other people are experiencing? and how can I fix it?

I'm pretty sure it can't, because things can be soulcast into aluminum, so instead of Shardplate, people could just buy aluminum armor to block a Shardblade. If Shardblades couldn't cut through aluminum, I think we would have heard about aluminum armor.

those metal doors on the library... they hadn't rusted, even though so many other things in the tower had. also, why would the doors to a library need to be metal? I think these doors are aluminum! anybody else think this? anybody freaking out like I am at the Implications of Aluminum doors on the library?

Also, I just realized, the Kandra have holes in their memories because they removed their spikes temporarily, so even if he had, I'm not sure how well it would work... He could just do what he did when he had Kelsier's bones, and replicate Kelsier's body from the bones, maybe? since it would all be made with the same DNA, would the DNA matter since it wouldn't reject itself? or would his spirit reject it? Does anyone know if his sDNA would somehow reject his physical DNA or not? edit: I don't think it would matter, because hemalurgy definitely has an effect on the Physical realm; it seems like koloss have a different DNA than a human does. also, it seems like I killed this thread.

I was rereading WoR, and I noticed that Sigzil calls the Perpendicularities on the Horneater peaks the "Emerald pools." since they are the same color, are they from the same shard? Probably not, but I just wanted to bring up the idea somewhere

I was just looking over this, and thought, humans do a lot of stupid stuff, and we are messed up, no matter where you go, all of them copies of Adonalsium's originals, why are these things not Shards? like Stupidity, or something like that. (this brings up another question: was Adonalsium Human, and is all of human nature not a part of a shard somewhere, or are some things left out?)

what I meant was, why is the chemistry system (not counting god metals) the same, why is the atmosphere the same, why is the size and gravity the same, aside from people, which have more Preservation than Ruin, the planet itself has equal amounts of each, and they had equal power while this was happening. What I'm asking is why would Ruin sit back and say "Okay, you get to control everything about how this planet is made, and you get to use some of my power to make it with, too." instead of letting Leras Preserve everything.
