  1. I believe everything is less alive on Scadrial because investiture is kept so tight. Metal itself being the key rather than investiture itself. On Roshar everything is more alive likely due to the Highstorms causing a constant saturation of investiture. I could be wrong. This is not based on any real evidence. Only what I've assumed. Love your avatar.
  2. It could very well be based on the same fundamentals as hemalurgy. The intents actually being pieces of Adonalsium's spirit web. Essentially the original shard bearers using that spirit web to key the investiture to themselves. With the way Adonalsium broke up there must be some odd circumstances. Adonalsium naturally should have dropped the shard of Adonalsium and not specific intents. Just like how Sazed would now drop Harmony. It takes effort to seperate.
  3. I would say that you shouldn't read too much into that quote. The fact he didn't argue with TLR may have just been a slip. Seems more he was answering that he was aware of the fact that there was at least one additional bead of Lerasium rather than saying there were at least 12 beads. I mean there are more than likely a few unaccounted for beads. 16 would make sense. I'm just saying that specific quote is not the best evidence for it.
  4. This quote doesn't really mean that there are more Lerasium beads remaining. The "at least one more" is probably Hoid's bead. I suspect that there are more, but it is possible that they were all used.
  5. I don't believe Lerasium has ever been public knowledge. I doubt it was included in the Words of Founding. Given there has been no mention of it anywhere in Era2, I think it is safe to assume Lerasium was not mentioned in the Words of Founding.
  6. Trellium isn't really lost. It also is probably The Final metal that Miles referred to. Specifically Atium was called The Lost Metal in an exhibit in Alloy of Law.
  7. The next Mistborn book is titled "The Lost Metal" which is what Atium has been called in Era2.
  8. It would be odd for Kelsier to be a villain after the events of SH. Kelsier held Preservation which will have permanently altered his personality. While the Southern Scadrians have an odd power structure he for sure saved them. Vin tells Kelsier at the end of SH that he has a lot to learn about love. This is exactly what Kelsier said to Vin about friendship and was the catalyst in altering Vin's personality for the better. It literaturely makes sense for this to be a motivating factor for Kelsier to change for the better. I don't think Hoid is benevolent. This is the man that said he would let an entire world be destroyed to get his way. We saw how much Hoid enjoyed doing harm to Kelsier. We've seen that Hoid was perfectly willing to betray Shai and leave her to die. We know that Hoid and Rayse were friends. So far every shard seems to dislike Hoid. I don't think Hoid is a good man. I almost wonder if he could be the true Big Bad.
  9. In Allomancy you aren't converting aluminum into investiture. Aluminum is a key to access investiture from Preservation/Harmony. Aluminum and the metallic arts are odd. With Allomancy everything seems ok because aluminum is just the key to access the power. It makes me wonder if the other metallic arts are working on similar principals. Do we know for certain with Feruchemy that the power is being stored in the metal itself? Is it possible that the metal in Feruchemy is also working as a key? Storing the power elsewhere? If that is the case, I don't see why Hemalurgy couldn't work on the same principal.
  10. I think you are going to run into problems here. For it to even theoretically work you'd have to find two attributes that both take the exact same hemalurgic bindpoint.
  11. She is just such a cry baby about everything. Her entire magic personality crisis is just annoying. The majority of her problems she created for herself. Oh and the fact she was all over Kaladin when she was with Adolin. I like Kaladin, but she is seriously a [redacted] person for putting the both of them through that stuff. It kind of reminded me of the awful Vin/Zane thing.
  12. Shallan went the opposite route for me. I went from thinking she was ok to hating her.
  13. Scadrial was likely named by Ati and Leras. It may mean something to them. They might have liked how it sounds. It might mean something in another language. Scadrial is odd as there are no other nearby planets they likely did not consider the possibility of life offworld. So it could have been given to Scadrial by silverlight. Other planets were likely named by either cosmere aware individuals or the original people to settle there.
  14. I mean every shardblade is literally made of godmetal. They are sentient investiture. This means 1000 breaths is more investiture than a large chunk of godmetal. Given 1000 is a small number of breaths compared to the number of breaths being held by some, I doubt it is enough to invest the most powerful object in the cosmere. There is likely something else going on with Nightblood.
  15. We don't know the abilities of godmetals is my point. It is possible that any godmetal is capable of stealing any attribute. Given that godmetals aren't part of the standard hemalurgic table, the base 16 metals should be capable of stealing any attribute if used correctly. This means that a godmetal spike doesn't need to fit anywhere specific into hemalurgy. So it makes the most sense that godmetals can steal any attribute. We've never had a second god metal used in hemalurgy to compare to. Until now. As I mentioned Harmony did not know the metal. This means it is not atium.
  16. We actually don't know this. We've only seen a single godmetal used for hemalurgy. What we do know is that the metal was unknown to Harmony. Atium is not unknown to Harmony. This means that the metal isn't some sort of corrupted atium. It is just a new metal.
  17. ^Death Rattles. Stormlight Era1 in my opinion needs to end with failure. I think it is possible Roshar will be damaged. I don't know if it will be fully destroyed. I'm thinking something similar to the state Ashyn is supposedly in.
  18. If Kelsier was spiked into a Mistwraith the cognitive aspect wouldn't matter. He could change his appearance at will. He might heal based on the cognitive self, but he could just alter his appearance. You also might end up with weird issues here. A mistwraith has its own cognitive identity and spiritual template that may interfere.
  19. Someday we will be graced with Warbreaker's sequel Nightblood. This will bridge the gap or come near bridging the gap between the two.

  21. Ahh sorry. I must have misread that. Though a broken poorly set bone could be just be a broken and poorly set bone. He is a hunter.
  22. That 100% is not how the multiverse theory works.
  23. Actually compounding atium doesn't allow you to live forever. At least not how it was being done by TLR. It can keep you alive a very long time. Age is weird and is based on your connection. So essentially The Lord Ruler's connections kept trying to snap him back to his correct age. It is possible that Ruin would use a combination of of storing connection and atium to more efficiently reverse aging. Ruin's minions wouldn't need connection.
  24. Damnation. I still stick by the Reranin bit.
