Time to go for another introspective session with Zahel.

Ah, but Venli must kidnap her to learn her ways!!! I think that he confirmed that it is not. I can't seem to find the relevant WoB just now. This was a warm chapter for the most part the calm before the highstorm!! Things are about to get rough.

I frown a bit though the love that I feel is not tempered. The cloak of strength clings to me and though it feels most fragile. Mortal fragility. I always thought you a mythic thing. "You want to return to the winds? Daughter, nature is a fickle thing. It is empowering to be sure. Let us step out and know well the universal powers that flow. Callouses must not grow over the soul daughter. Let not you heart be consumed." I take steps forward calling the winds to me. I cancel the wave of warmth being pulled from the corner of the tent. Breezes whisper about us. They embrace us and circle as our shields and guardians. Circestran steps alongside Nath her body awash with light.

I have sworn these words. -
Alex Trebek you defined my childhood in ways that few else have. You made learning a treat. To you I owe a debt that cannot ever be payed back. You were truly a class act of the highest order. My mother and I spent so many nights learning from you the most interesting things. Your impact on generations is almost without compare. In your absence the world knows a void that was not there before. You truly were one for the ages. We will miss you Alex. Know that you have left a legacy behind that will long be remembered.

There is a names of the fused thread these are from there.

I'm not so sure. We do see places where it seems that cultivation herself seemingly involved and weirdness resulted. Spoilerd for a bunch of WoB's (Emphasis my own.) The weirdness factor of having cultivation intervene personally is what I would lean toward.
-
Good luck!! I hope that all goes well!!

@Channelknight Fadran you are a mad creative genius!! @Scarletfox Is just overall awesome. @Condensation you have much wisdom and grammatical acumen! You keep things interesting!

Q10fanatic So, the third ideal of the Windrunners. Is it about protecting those you hate or is it more broadly about going against your instincts/wants in order to protect others better? Brandon Sanderson For most people, it's going to go along the hatred lines--but it extends all the way to what you're implying. Mostly, I think of it as, "I'll get rid of my caveats about those I'll protect." You're likely to see the more extreme examples as I write out the oaths for others, particularly in-scene, as I don't want it to feel too repetitive. But you can assume that for most of the original members of Bridge Four (who are slowly hitting this ideal) that it had to do with agreeing to protect a group that they in some way dislike. (So long as it's right to do so, as defined by themselves and their spren, of course.) Dawnshard Annotations Reddit Q&A (Nov. 6, 2020)

We have learned that Brandon can still shock, amuse, and leave us in awe!! More importantly the information contained within is massive. krazynoah123 From what is described in the end, are all the forms of investiture derived in some way from one of the Dawnshards? Brandon Sanderson RAFO. (Sorry.) Dawnshard Annotations Reddit Q&A (Nov. 6, 2020) In light of the above discussion concerning grouping shards under a command associated with a Dawnshard this WoB is interesting. It is not an outright no. Now RAFO is tricky, but interesting nonetheless. This addresses the question of other types of investiture leading to effects like the Dawnshard. skyeguye From Rysn's observations in the epilogue, it seems like she has alot of the same aspects of a Fifth Heightening/Returned at the least. Is this because her Dawnshard is particularly connected to Endowment or because the effects of a certain level of investment result in similar effects? Brandon Sanderson The latter. Skrimyt Interesting. So are actively Surgebinding Radiants or metal-burning Allomancers just not Invested enough to gain those passive effects, or do they not experience perfect pitch/color/etc. because their Investiture is just not as tightly bound to their spiritweb as Endowment's Breaths or a Dawnshard would be? Brandon Sanderson Be aware that the two groups you mention don't generally hold much investiture themselves, at least not in large quantities over time. More in Surgebinding. Almost none in Allomancy. But RAFO to specifics. Dawnshard Annotations Reddit Q&A (Nov. 6, 2020) Rysn just jumped to almost the top of cosmerically aware and important characters in the whole of SA!!

THE WAIT IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can feel a warmth fill me as my daughter expresses love and strength that I had seen within her long before it had come forth. Her words contain true conviction and they drive fear from me. "I wish that I could give you worlds. Once I would have been able to. Now all I can truly give you is myself. I will be with you always." Circestran silently takes in the scene.

I believe that I did once. Gone on a multiple day nature hike.

Thank you Chaos and all of the staff who keep not only this site, but Arcanum and The Coppermind running as well. You have created and maintained places where the Sanderson fandom can not only have a great time, but grow. You do so much and it may sometimes be thankless work, but now we want to thank you for all that you do!!

I find her words calming like a waves lapping at the sands of a sleep blessed shore. Despite all of my fear and weakness somehow she manages to break through. "There is so much that I would tell you if I just knew how. I have seen so much. I had a nightmare daughter. This is why I was crying as I was. It was a terrible thing. It taunted me for my mortality. I was mocked for being unable to save Circestran. It forced me to watch both of you suffer while I could not stop it. I did not fear for my self. I feared that it would be a prophecy of doom for us all. However, it won't be. It cannot be." All of my troubles seem to matter far less now. They are trivial. "Nath." Her whisper fills the air. She longs to go to him, but she stays where she is.

This actually makes a lot of sense @Weux082690. Because Urithiru is a literal fortress and the seat of the Knights Radiant it would need advanced defenses to frustrate invaders. If the Sibling is like the brain of Urithiru then its going to sleep would result in what we have now. The dead ends could even serve other purposes like perhaps hiding rooms that a bondsmith or stoneward would be able to access, but not other KR. @Gilphon I agree that this explanation is a bit mundane. Though Brandon usually avoids simply mundane explanations, I feel as though this is the most logical conclusion to draw. Tactically this is a sound move and the KR might well have wanted to rely on more than simple brute force to repel an attack. Having the ground that they fight on be a giant defense mechanism would be an effective way of preventing large numbers of troops from taking the tower especially if you were few in number when the attack took place.
