  1. Finally! The growl nearly eascpes me, but I keep it caged. A beast within me struggles and longs to taste carnage. It's time to end this. Our voices join as one. I spin toward her. In an instant the light surrounding me bends leaving me invisible to the naked eye. I drop the winds that surround me and move off to the side before leaping forward.
  2. I don't even blink as the knives fly toward me. My rage calls the wind and knocks the daggers aside. When my opponent moves to the side my eyes follow her. I condense the air surrounding me. My grin grows wider.
  3. I don't move. Again I motion her forward before returning my daggers to their place. Raging blood lust flies. Every cell within me sings. A symphony born of countless eons begins to play. Louder and louder it becomes. It weaves a cloak around me.
  4. Mentally I sigh. This is going to be quick. I wish that it did not have to come to this. Two curved one and a half foot daggers of light appear in my hands. They are double edged and sharp enough to shear through steel plates. I plant my feet and hold the blades at high and low guard. My back is straight and a single focused gaze appears in my eyes. Something primal and ancient appears in them. Everything, but my opponent disappears to the edges of a thick mist. The sun's light pools around me. My breath syncs with the winds. Beat by beat my heart slows until it is a crawling steady rhythm. I beckon her forward and then return my blade to position. Blood lust screams in my mind. It howls and fills me to the brim. I grin baring my teeth.
  5. "Our duel is first blood drawn. The method by blade. We require a judge. Shall we?" I exit the tent slowly and walk several paces. I turn and face the entrance of the tent.
  6. "Indeed. The rules are simple first blood drawn declares the winner and loser of this duel. I chose the type of duel. You choose the weapon."
  7. "It would seem that a point is trying to be made. I don't think that we have a choice." I gently extricate myself from Fox's grip. I keep doubt from showing in my eyes. Weakness floods me, but I lock it away in a vault which ceases to exist.
  8. *Bows low with a flourish.* Thank you! You provide such warmth and color to the shard, that it is no exaggeration to ay that things would be very without you!
  9. I quirk an eyebrow in surprise. "Is she your army that you send her against me? Very well if you desire send her against me."
  10. "I am a wounded being and tired, but pride will get you nowhere. I have seen prideful empires toppled. Armies have been decimated by commanders who were unable to see past their own illusions. If they can do so then show me. I'm unarmed. Attack me or choose one who will. If you can draw first blood then you are ready to take on this enemy of yours." @Scarletfox
  11. "Silent wars cannot stay that way. Do they have it in them to kill? Do they know how to wield weapons effectively?"
  12. "I have had many names over the eons. You may call me Nathrangking. Answer me this general. Can your rebellion wage war?"
  13. I hear T's words and gently shake my head no. A smile touches my eye as I see the love glow in her eyes. That fire warms me and almost makes me forget the the fatigue which crawls throughout my form robbing me of everything. In an instant I withdraw fully from the mindscapes and bonds that I had been occupying. I release the winds and some strength floods back. Not much, but some. Before the winds depart I whisper a few words that travel to Fox alone. "As you wish daughter." Love laces them. I turn to the council of war. "If my words would be heard I would speak."
  14. We float in silence and follow Fadran wordlessly into the tent. The winds set us down in the center of the tent.
  15. I observe the events of Harate's reunion with only half an eye. My body aches as we float after Fadran and the others. The pain of what I had answered Fox is etched into my bones. Everything else is muted by comparison.
  16. "I believe that our friends are on the move. We should follow them. Hold on tight." Again the winds obey me and lifts us inches above the ground. My strength drops dangerously, but I hold on tight for her. They carry us gently after Herate and Fadran. @Scarletfox
  17. Life does sometimes get in the way and unexpected complications can arise. However, that being said steps can be taken to set a date especially one which one was forced to push off. Firstly, you can within reason consider potential obstacles which could derail your plans. It may be difficult to impossible account for everything, but many things can be anticipated. Secondly, once you have anticipated you can move to set the date. Being aware of what could potentially hold you back can help set the date reasonably. If something comes up reevaluate as needed. You can never over anticipate (Steris taught us this.) Plan for the worst and expect the best,
  18. *breathes a sigh of relief.*
  19. Well there goes my wisdom for the ages. I can only advise *exaggerated sigh.* The rest is up to you.
  20. How serious are you about this boy? If you think that there is potentially something here then any potential situation of things getting strained between you and or his taking the notebook can be defused by telling him the truth. You could also honestly tell him that you are not comfortable sharing that information. Part of this comes down to comfort. If you are uncomfortable with his having that information then either say nothing or try and defuse it. Otherwise Fortune favors the bold Live a healthy life. Eat a balanced diet, exercise, get some fresh air. Read some classics.
  21. It depends on just how lazy. Sunday afternoons are good times to catch up on my shows. Sometimes I'll just shard. I have also been known to use the time for reading.
