  1. I would tend to agree that the likes of trellism should be considered minor at best I guess the whole miles situation made it important.
  2. Even if a machiavellian would be acceptable for some I doubt people who kill without conscience or descrimination would be ok especially for the skybreakers.
  3. Being an airsick lowlander Sanderfan from Roshar will do strange things to you.
  4. I think that it is a leap to say that Adolin will end up being a traitor. His story is fascinating in that in contrast to so many damaged, ineffective or broken characters he is someone who is relatively well off and yet stumbles. He can very well serve as a study of what it means to be human. Yeah as others have said he seems to suffer less, but at the same time those who suffer too much are not humans. They are caricatures who propel the story, but allow very little in the way of introspection. Instead of saying that he is doomed to turn on everyone perhaps we can wait and see what mirror he may provide for the readers.
  5. Hopefully it will not be attempted in the cosmere. I suspect the end result would be be unsatisfying and extremely underwhelming.
  6. Liam hemsworth as Parlin?
  7. I don't know that any of the members of the secret societies that we have seen will be able to articulate even the first oath to fruition. The nightbloods do not value life at all so their out immediately as are the diagramists. Only the sons of honor may be able to say the first part of the oath without earning a metaphorical laugh from the cosmere. Though they have no trouble following through with ends justify the means which nullifies the third part of the oath. They all have some shards and other unknown toys up their sleeve's they wont want for ways to fight against radiant's without becoming KR themselves.
  8. It could be that it is a very minor deity. The coppermind does mention that it makes appearances on several shardworlds and was worshipped on them.
  9. I think that leaving Earth out of it is a very good idea. Having the cosmere as a fresh slate is refreshing and allows for a new type of humanity which as he states is devoid of baggage. It certainly allows for a more interesting examination of human potential.
  10. According to the coppermind the 4 are pathism, survivorism, sliverism, and trellism.
  11. It requires a conscious decision to begin and stop the storage of various attributes with the possible exception of wakefulness as mentioned above which will continue even after one has fallen asleep. Things such as vision etc... do require you to desire the attribute to be stored. Tapping also requires a conscious decision though once you start tapping you must mentally put a "stop" on it or run out of attribute to use.
  12. In SA men other than ardent's cannot read I took the part where it is not a manly pursuit and used it while still maintaining the ability to do so.
  13. I think tom hiddleston or maybe daniel craig could pull it off.
  14. Didn't say can't I said refuse to.
  15. When you refuse to read because it is not a manly pursuit.
  16. I think perhaps I should explain a little bit. The phrase hit and run has become associated with the sweep in attack and retreat style of insurgent forces. It was not so in the realm of ancient warfare. @Calderis reserve light cavalry did in fact act the part of hit and run skirmishers who would fill in the gaps harass the enemy and then retreat again until they were needed. The classic example of the skirmisher would be Hannibal's Numidian Cavalry. They actually do protect the weak by filling in the gaps in the line and protect the exposed troops from being torn apart by the attacking force. Traditionally the goal was to split the front line and cut the army in two without the hit and run skirmishers the army will be destroyed. When I said that they use hit in run I meant it in the traditional sense. They would fit in that in and out role reinforcing and protecting the most vulnerable segments. They would truly embody the ideal of protecting those who cannot protect themselves by providing support in the areas that need it the most and by then withdrawing to protect other segments as they become vulnerable.
  17. John Malkovich is too old to convincingly play the part.
  18. When your parents ask you how your day was and as you tell them you think to yourself "there is always another secret".
  19. That WoB has certainly been proven true by...
  20. It does seem that the pool on the horneater peaks may in fact be a perpendicularity like what was seen on Sel. This would seem to fit with what we learn from Rock and would perhaps explain why he insists that not just anyone can go there which also seems to work along the lines of what we have seen from perpendicularities like the pool on Sel or Patji's eye where access was hidden because of the "Sacred" nature of the place.
  21. When you you take something and put something random down to trade for it.
  22. It makes a lot of sense in a way Rayse is described as being cunning and dangerous which would fit well with a plan to undemine the KR by using a herald.
  23. When someone says tangerine quickly and you jump up looking for the crazy old guy from Kharbranth. When you try to lightweave away the mess that is your room.
