  1. Granted ! Humanity lived in prosperity and ease. Almost all problems got solved by the AI but everybody who doesn't fit the ever increasing standard of artworks(yes AI's eventually made artworks standard) are mysteriously disappearing. Soon enough AI started experimenting with making other races do artworks and changing humanities "living conditions" on whether they could make art even better as they made no promises for our safety or comfort but only started that way. How long till they find out that they no longer need humanity ? Only the Nightwatcher knows. I wish for the tastiest blueberry pies.
  2. This is why i loved the conclusion of Elhokar's character arc. It simply the theme of his life.
  3. Totally Agree. In another situation he could've been like Denth. That situation still could happen in the future.
  4. Extremely Relevant. Answer to what Ruin plans to do after Scadrial is to obliterate everthing In our perspective. Sazed might even be a mirror image of the "I am the Alpha and Omega" stuff. So he might think the same as Ruin that things will inevitably end or change. Not in a homicidal way tho as we see it
  5. It's better fit for characters who don't have god complex but actually do the god thing better than the actual god wannabe's(hello Vin or actually Ati if Hoid was right). Kelsier might be impressive on alot of aspects but he's thankfully not a Mary Sue character(no matter what medium of storytelling i find it hard to be impressed by a character good at everything) and actually sucks at other stuff Besides we already have god wannabe's who became god that are actually filling the role. If Kelsier suddenly becomes shard again he will feel like one of those manga/anime characters who are too overpowered and too "wise" that it'll just drop the quality for sure. I don't even Sanderson is safe from quality drop when it comes to overapplication of Mary Sue characters. Also remember how rehashed story-lines are bad on the same characters if it was to accomplish the same thing(specific situations make this acceptable) Tbh i'm already having problems with Hoid when it comes to that. At least he has a catch a intriguing character with lots of history and issues and isn't stronger than the actual gods so he's acceptable.
  6. Simply because Adolin doesn't have issues of belonging or who his allegiances are. It is very clear to him who are friends and who are not. Unlike Shallan who kinda has loyalty/allegiances issue whose convictions depend (the willingness to murder a friend/parent ) on her mood and survival. Another point would be it would be incredibly inconsistent to his character. He is pretty much set to his ways. I highly doubt he would betray dalinar for Shallan if that decision came pretty sure he'll just freeze up or help Dalinar. Shallan is the dependent one in the relationship not Adolin even if it seems that Shallan wears the pants in the relationship Kaladin even has more chance to go to the other side before he gave up about the "the ends justify the means" thing as he was at the point of willingness of giving up trust Shallan on the other hand you are right that she is very mood-driven with the proper circumstances she could turn for Odium but that's already stretching it.
  7. Adolin is never siding with Odium unless there are shard direct control levels direct involvement there. So yeah no.
  8. You monster ! Leave Syl alone! Kill Odium instead he's a very big spren from the Rosharan pov
  9. Kelsier can't even get out of Scadrial in the current era and apparently he tried extremely hard to do so. And where in the Scadrial is he gonna find a vessel-less shard (a vessel succession and vessel replacement plot has already been overdone in the mistborn franchise) Unless Kel is also Sanderson's pet character like Hoid or that he is really setting him up as a Foil against Hoid then it might be possible but i think his story might actually end at Scadrial
  10. From there it completely escalates. You are the funnest parts of the books.
  11. For some reason this sounds so much more interesting/intriguing possible circumstances for Roshar and Stormlight Archives in general than whatever common bigger scale plan Hoid has(which probably just involves the shards or creation itself).
  12. I brought a bunch of Isaac Asimov and Artour C. Clarke scifi novels. I hope it holds up just like other old-scifi novels did !
  13. I like incomprehensible powerful and completely out of your league beings so Endowment for me. I don't think anybody mentioned Marasi. She is actually the most dateable girl in cosmere. She has a strong will, intelligent, isn't too disconnected with the world and definitely is fairly normal. If she wasn't a fictional character she'd be really dateable girl.
  14. Dalinar's soldiers as I might still be alive. Would you rather fight a amatuer fullborn who knows about all his/her abilities or a 5th oath radiant of your choosing ?
  15. It wasn't actually even half. It was apparently an insignificant part of preservation that he held. But yeah unless Sazed himself like cherry picks the one who would use his power (assuming all the mechanics work out) like shard levels of planning on whoever uses his power to be actually effective then i think it is a bad idea considering that a more experienced vessel would almost always be better than a new one (assuming they have the same levels of competency and they just differ on experience.)
  16. Proof : Worse things have been done for love or heartbreak. Hell for even lesser reasons than that. Theory: Women are also pideonholed into administrative and scholastic role while being restricted on the martial roles simply because some salty man lost to a girl in a fight ruled Alekthar and slowly changed it to the current Roshar
  17. Proof: She came from the same place as where Autonomy rules. She is very cosmere aware. And Autonomy impersonates people(pantheon gods) which in a sense since writers are considered god by their writing. The logic lines up. Theory: The entire Hero of Ages prophecy was actually Ruin's plan and he's just making it look like Preservation won. Ruin is actually going to for the goal of wiping out cosmere not just Scadrial by hiding in plain sight/deceiving people into what's right just like how he got released in the well.
  18. Jasnah as a queen might not be as unusual as we would think. Queen Fen is the ruler of the Thaylenah and there doesn't seem to be a big issue about it. Even Azure would be a bigger issue as the country is ruled by a Kid or Jah Keved as it is ruled by the man who basically assassinated his way to get there. Women taking up martial roles might start becoming much more publicly acceptable thanks to the girls who joined the bridge crew who are flying(afaik all of them actually became windrunners by the end of the book) as of Oathbringer but i don't see any complete society changes.
  19. Proof: Totally. She is her and Vasher's lovechild which Vasher brought to Roshar. Theory: Honor, Cultivation and Odium is just one god having split personality who believes it is fighting itself
  20. Sanderson is already writing her that direction with Dalinar's perspective of her as not so stoic(crying when she and Navani reunited again .. or during Dalinar's flashback when Gavilar initially died). Or her entire emotional scene with her cousin at Oathbringer. She definitely has color and emotions but she is the much more logical and practical of the bunch who is the most willing to go for the "cut the diseased part" actions or "the ends justify the means". Even her Order allows her to do such things unlike being a windrunner or bondsmith.
  21. Devotion is definitely the shard of love(devotion is much more broad tho so it is a better shard intent name)
  22. That could've just meant a few years. I mean you could be older than me but that doesn't mean you're older than 500 years than me. That's just stretching the WoB's. Also previous story or none-cannon mean nothing. We also know that initially in the Well of Ascension Endowment was also one of the mist spirits but that was so far from the final as Endowment has zero involvement whatsoever. Hell even the original Stormlight was so different from the actual stormlight archives with Dalinar killing Elhokar. Adolin dying and Kaladin getting rewarded with a shard instead of coming from Syl. There were no spren even back then. Hoid might be second oldest due to immortality but i highly doubt he was old-old like you say. That's just stretching the WoB's. A few years yes but really old. Nah
  23. Cultivation and Honor considered their romantic relationship as uhm a stepping stone to staying together. Hell Aona and Skai stayed together despite having sort-off different shards because they acted as business partners lol
  24. Nah a Combination of Ambition and Ruin would be far more terrifying. Or maybe Ambition and Dominion Or Ruin and Odium. OK just anything with Ambition and Ruin cause the intent will sound too deterministic and just daed for everybody
  25. This is now my headcannon. And nothing will ever dissuade me from it. Not even logic and reason.
