  1. Wobs can be definitive(they literally word of the author). Most of WoBs are not retconned. And only those meant ambiguous wobs are uncertain but even those if you can figure out the meaning and make Sanderson admit it should be good as the truth. Nobody considers Adolin because he was a serial dater but Shallan was like her changing point of the story. He stopped trying out other women because of her. Tho I am not saying there is no possibility of Adolin the one wronging the relationship but Shallan is just more likely. But who are we kidding we haven't seen a dysfunctional marriage so far(the only one had a child killing her mother and her abusive father had been influenced by Odium) even the villains have a meaningful relationship(Sadeas couple) so I don't think any of the characters would likely have a toxic one. Even Roshone&Larals marriage was apparently content and that one was weird.
  2. Now this would be good to explore. It doesn't make sense to involve Kaladin in this considering he is not the type who would make another person cheat(besides he is much better with open potential than the shallan ship). Dalinar/Navani can't explore the concept considering they're too old and settled to give a damnation about other people(they're basically living revisiting their "the one who got away") and it doesn't fit the nature of their relationship and just the people in general involves isn't like that. Both mutually just settled down. Now Shadolin can be like this. They're a young couple with a one who can't pick one who settled down for one and another who isn't exactly satisfied with any arrangement who always wants more in anything. So the angle of young couple " but there could be somebody else" and infidelity could he explored. Unsatisfaction in marriage that we often see in real life is something interesting to explore and it would be a good change on how he writes romance. Marriage isn't always happy or that "aw they love each other" setups aren't the only ones who can be setup that can be done. We already have a casual mostly sex relationship from era 2 mistborn but he turned into a "aw they do love each other" but he certainly doesn't seem to mind exploring it. But I doubt that'll happen considering that Sanderson loves his usual vanilla romance in his stories not that we could blame him. Sometimes a writer just wants to write things in a way just for him. Not for us for himself this is still his story after all and we don't have much say about it if he wants it written that way. What I wanted to see is a variety in romance not just the good ol vanilla monogamy
  3. Additional to the point is that how Vin and Kelsier differs in their approach to eliminating a skaa guard for some noble/TLR. Kelsier just kills them. Vin on the other hand convinced the guard to stand down and take the leave as it is not worth it. That guard became captain goradel. Vin does truly care about the people and alot more windrunnery than Kelsier is. Besides if you think about it Kelsier would make a great vessel for Odium or Ambition. That says something about him.
  4. Wasn't a fan of shalladin anyways. I went full "eh" when Kaladin admired Shallan's smiling through the abuse when it pales in comparison to the entire rust he went through . I believe the love triangle is one of the things SA isn't good about. Now that I think about it Shadolin seems weak as well. Guess I just realized I was never a fan of either ship. Might be why I am so enthusiastic with Kaladin+somebody else instead
  5. I don't think Sazed could just dump the extra Ruin to Nightblood like it was nothing. Don't forget that "extra" ruin is equivalent to literally giving sapience to an entire species(it was equivalent to preservations missing power that gives Scadrians mind/soul) and why Ruin/Preservation are literally equal. That was a huge chunk of shard power that would still make Nightblood look insignificant unless Nightblood is heavier than all the people in a Scadrial. And wasn't there an uppercap something could be invested ?
  6. SteelCompounder sounds like hell of a treat. You can fly and move in ridiculous speeds but it isn't terribly helpful in real life other than being cool. So I would rather be a Zinc compounder(rioting people and infinite mental speed sounds too much advantage in the modern era). Being an Electric compounder will probably also make you the person with the most mental fortitude who understands the limits of what he could do.
  7. Jasnah is the best available choice out of the Kholins currently. She will most likely do better than Elhokar. Dalinar would've been the most ideal choice but like Toaster said his hands is full with the Radiant thing . Adolim might make an OK ruler and Renarin is not leader but a follower.
  8. It is possible but we don't know enough yet. I wouldn't count on it tho I don't think Sanderson would turn into that considering that sounds like how Wheel of Time works. What we do know is that literally everything in cosmere is tied to adonalsium.
  9. You can pass on even if you literally held the shard but those people who held a shards power can just choose not to if they want . Vin/Rashek/Ati didn't even bother staying for more than a minute if you think about how short those peoples post-death conversations are. Kelsier can leave but he choose not to. Which kinda answers his purpose indirectly he just doesn't wanna move on. I feel like this is gonna backfire soon enough but we could say "hey Kelsier helped the southern scadrial when Sazed left that place to die" then again Kelsier probably doesn't even know him saving the southern pole was just one of Sazed's favored possibilities.
  10. Random dude: "Who invited this guy ?" Szeth : "Assassin !" Dalinar: "Where have you been ?" Bridge 4: "should we uhm muscle this guy out" Odium: "wat"
  11. Possible but most likely Kelsier. I don't think Spook will ever go that storyline considering his entire story so far. Kelsier has already been painted in two pictures ever since BoM and SH. The hero and the person who can't give up his own ambitions or just won't let his story be done with. And Sanderson's oddly throwing out the idea Kelsier that could be a villain a frightening one. So it is possible but it would likely not be. I don't think it could be spook tho
  12. Granted but you have to create the spike yourself meaning you are would have to kill people for it. Also trial and error cause you don't exactly get hemalurgic bindpoints knowledge. I wish for highstorms on earth so that people can surgebind
  13. That does sound nice.
  14. Harmonium and Sazedium honestly sounds equally bad. I wish there was another name for his godmetal
  15. Granted but that also includes odium's spren btw and you can never refuse bonds. Even spren like decayspren. I wish for people in the world suddenly gaining surgebinding
  16. So Ruin&Preservation was just some weird opposites attract thing where one can't just be alone without the other interfering so that makes sense. Honor&Cultivation settled together because they're romantically involved so that one is quite obvious. However how did Aona and Skai end up together settling on the same planet when the shards they held don't seem to gel well by concept ? Do you guys think it is personal like they personally know each other enough that they trust each other to settle together ? Are they previously romantically involved as well ( tho Sanderson did say they were just business partners of sort but I think I read some wob there was something more) ? Or after picking up the shards did with their warped personality both made a conscious agreed decision together as they foresaw they would work out well for their personal shard intents ? It feels like their settling on the same planet together like how two friends/strangers who have different personalities just decide to become roommates or something. Their case is a curious as if I think about it Dominion and Devotion sounds almost as disastrous as R&P. Any relevant wobs ? Speculations ? Thoughts
  17. Marsh(inquisitor-form under Harmony's reign) would probably try to give a reasonable wholesome wedding gift. Yaknow normal stuff but fails on giving it cause everybody freaks out seeing a huge person who can glide midair and have railroad spikes in place of his eyes. Ham would send a wedding card with a philosophical thought inside. Shallan would be psyched , adolin would ask where the actual gift is. Stormfather would most likely just threaten them not to break oaths. That's it no gifts if they insist on giving a gift he might just send a highstorm. He'd consider that a gift Aona(if alive) would revel on their marriage and devotion so she probably things for their betterment. Skaze(if alive) would probably just send bdsm tools with notes of instructions. Sadeas would send a cake baked with poison. Tensoon would send a letter saying "no I will not attend your wedding" and MeLaan would decline politely but would already be in the wedding without them knowing anyways. (Did I do things correctly ?)
  18. She's such a fascinating shard if you really think about how she operates. Sanderson is really playing with the idea of gods well
  19. Title . I bet this ends something similar to the The Last Question by Isaac Asimov(not necessarily the same but similar a sort of reset). What are yours ? ( it could be the Reformation of adonalsium or whatever) (Let's find out who made the right call when it finally comes)
  20. Uhm ascending with the vessel still literally around happened for Rashek and Vin(the first time) so it can certainly happen without problems and the vessel seems to be still in charge so long as he/she is fine with it I assume. Btw both Rashek and Vin were considered slivers just by using well of ascension which by definition means they became a vessel albeit limited time/power
  21. I don't think the Avatars could go against the intent of Autonomy so in extension they can't go against Bavadin which is the executioner of the intent. But she probably couldn't direct everything the avatar does and could just give a general nudge about some decision making. Anyways thats all my assumption with the available information we have
  22. All shards have investiture everywhere even when don't know about it so yeah maybe the Ruin-aligned intent the command has kinda involuntarily drew the Ruin investiture
  23. Either reading SH first or later works but I prefer the reading after better
  24. Granted but you also gain telepathy and you can't turn it off so you keep talking other people's minds with your thoughts and you keep reading it with them knowing you did it. I wish for a dream monster who serves me loyally
  25. Another of his written work tho technically RJ's series which was Wheel of Time had the same stuff too but i won't say who cause spoilers Other than those two every other enemy wasn't offered a redemption afaik at least so far as I've read on cosmere.
