IadonMalataYomenRutharTanalan Eliminated Yomen. Just use Atium ezpz (i know it's horribly inefficient and misused atium at that) Who would make a best wedding planner ?
-
SadeasDilafIadonIalaiMoashMalataZaneYomenRoshoneRutharTanalanTelrii Eliminated Aesudan. She's possibly the most physically attractive of all of them(she got wedded to Elhokar heir of the kingdom so that's nothing), she has very gluttonous and festive attitude with little attachment to things. So she's most likely to be able to do that. Also who would refuse her anyways. DOUBLE ELIMINATION: Who would be the two that would be part of Aesudan's threesome ?

Dalinar easily. He's possibly even the best written character by Sanderson lmao

SadeasDilafIadonIalaiMoashMalataZaneEdwarnYomenAesudanKabsalRoshoneRutharTanalanTelrii Eliminated Tonk Fah. I bet he would happily torture information out of a natural enemy just for the fun of it. Who would be the best cook of the group?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
goody153 replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. Sure you can now manipulate probability but never about yours. And every probability that involves you have odds not in your favor. I wish for splinter of a shard sidekick. -
To all Windrunners. If you haven't sworn enough words to earn a shardblade or you aren't a lighteyes originally then you don't have the privilege of a lighteyes. Just because your honorspren are basically lighteyes on shadesmar doesn't mean you automatically become one. No, their rights are not it's not transferable or conjugal. And their laws that applies on shadesmar only applies on shadesmar

Like the title suggests(posting another weird thread). Mine are found below(varying reasons and sometimes just really random reasons) People: Ash - I don't like the sound of her real name(Shalash ? come on) but her nickname is my favorite female name of cosmere. Especially if i think about who she is. Aona - The combination of the intent of the shard Devotion(or synonym of love) and that she's a girl gives it some elegant flavor over it. Rashek - His name seems to match his ruthlessness, trigger-happy and pragmatism of his character. Rayse - I totally disagree that of Rayse's own judgement about the name Odium having a bite to it. I think he should stick to calling himself his real name which has much much more better suited for him. Rayse sounds good to me as the most dangerous of the 16. Allriane - it's a soft sounding name that matches her playful persona. Uli Da(Ambition) - both her name and the shard intents name actually has a bite to it. Marasi - It's not too rough and not too sweet for who she is. I think it's nice. Melaan - the name i liked the sound of the most in the Wax and Wayne series. It matches her temperant too. Ruin - the concept, the player, the story and the vessel's actions. Yeah i think it the word encompasses it. Syl - it sounds fairy like and short. Such a pretty name for a pretty splinter. Fitting. Place/Things Lerasium - Idk it just sounds nice especially if I think about where it came from. Electrum - The name made sound like it's the best and most interesting metal when it is totally not. Luthandel - best name for a place in Scadrial. Idk not a fan of Scadrial place names. Azir - When i hear about this kingdom from Roshar and how their entire country works i always think about Romans. Shardblade - basically one of the coolest concepts in fantasy with a good term for it. Shard makes me think of broken glass, glasses are shiny so are shardblades. Shardblade are splinters and incidentally they're fragments of the shard which can be pictured out as a giant glass. It fits. Terms: Surgebinder - Just hearing the technical term for someone who has the abilities of a Knight Radiant(or honorblade wielder) already makes me wanna be one. Like i don't even need to hear the reasons why would i join just the name itself already sold me on it. This is by far my absolute favorite term in Cosmere for a magic user(or maybe in all fantasy as well) Feruchemy - It's a good term sounds as complex as it's magic system it represents. Steel Ministry and Steel Inquisitor - it just sounds badass. Parshendi - it sounds complicated. Their race is complicated so fitting. Desolation - really good name for an apocalypse event Splinter - oddly i liked the sound of it alot more than it's bigger version with a vessel(shard) Cognitive Realm - the term shadesmar sucks and sounds bad. This term is cool tho Personal Favorite Reshi Surgebinder - It's a combined term that Szeth called Lift once and it just sounds so damnation awesome. It rhymes, it sounds good in my head and it's even amplified if think about the exotic culture that Reshi people have. I suspect lift doesn't deserve such awesome name. The two terms just sounds so good together It can be anything from objects, to animals, to people(or category of people), to shards. Any name that sounded right to your ears and why. What's did you find it sounds nice to your ears ?

@StrikerEZ Very nice ! You're finally about to start WoT(near the end of that book). Yes you haven't been reading the real WoT yet lol Please tell us about your reaction at the end of that book

Weird question does the expensiveness of horses also factors because of the existence of chulls ? Afaik those crabby things are quite docile and commonplace(larger too which seems to suggest can carry alot more weight than horses) and are omnivore(unlike horses which needed grass and we know that in most places grasses hide lol)

Most under appreciated Cosmere Characters
goody153 replied to Ishar's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Since Taln is already mentioned I think Marasi and Tindwyl. Marasi because i think she's a well-made character enough in terms of development and her role. I don't actually think i had difficulty reading her parts but she gets overshadowed by Wayne or Steris. Tindwyl since while she seems treated like a plotdevice for Elend and Sazed. It never felt that way when i read WoA. She was a welcome addition to WoA(unlike that other unwelcome addition that creepy mistborn stalker) that she was a balanced character. Special Mention: GodKings Priests from Warbreaker. Say what you want about them but they're surely dedicated and none of them didn't succumb to greediness at all despite having access to the arguably most powerful stuff in Nalthais at that current time. They're quite competent at ruling to some sense too. -
@StrikerEZ What book are you reading now ? Have you reached LoC ? Shut your mouth. Bela is purest and greatestest. In fact she should be called the "Great Lord" than that upstart Dark One.

Crackpot Theories (A game)
goody153 replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
@Unlicensed Hemalurgist He literally tortures with joy. Guess who likes torture ? Inquisitors. Guess what Inquisitors are ? Hemalurgist. Pack your bag boys we found another waldo. Theory: Odium is actually an extremely misunderstood goodguy. edit:butterfingers -
Why some people do not like Brandon's books
goody153 replied to Darkwalker's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Completely unrelated but when i first read the mention of dividing by zero and everytime this phrase is mentioned here. I can only think of "I have no Mouth and I must Scream" famous scifi story. Maybe it's because dividing zero is futile which is a similar theme to that story. -
Played Warcraft 3 like 15 years ago or so (back in my childhood rip) and there was this cheatcode called "greedsigood" which was the origin of it for sure. I'm can't remember exactly how it turned into "goody153" but pretty sure it involved in a phase in my life where i became a religious person(christian but i am an atheist now) so i just kept the ID in most of my accounts cause it was convenient to remember. I have other usernames but i prefer this one.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
goody153 replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I'm glad i didn't get the bridge four salute in my head wrong lol -
Initially i disliked Siri's pov then it got better overtime(cause Sanderson wrote his best romance here) and Vivenna was just so self-righteous at the start it was so annoying(she got humbled so it got better). I suppose at the start-middle would be Vashers. Then mid-late would be Vivenna's and Siri respectively/

Nightblood Taught Odium How To Kill Heralds
goody153 replied to Leuthie's topic in Stormlight Archive
Didn't Odium already know about how nightblood works even before. I highly doubt somebody as prolific as a splinter of endowment being around an important figure in Roshar(Nale) is something Odium wouldn't be aware of. It's probably because honor is dead. So Odium might feel like this desolation is like the desolation to seal his win. And the Everstorm probably just make things convenient. We don't enough about all the details of oathpact on why it still needs to end despite the everstorm kinda making the oathpact useless and why Odium is still stuck on Roshar -
Azure/Vivenna could've just totally gotten her longetivity the same way the 17th sharders had by slowing down their aging. I know Breath's are convenient reason but it could be just the world hopper way too If you just meant age then sure. If you meant that being older means being more mature then that's just incorrect(we are talking about post-teenage years not childhood years). People around their 50's be less immature than somebody in their 20's.

Which is weird cause before Oathbringer he actually had the dread factor and seemed extremely competent from the shadows. Which was unique but completely lost it around the 3rd book because of him being personified. I think he showed up too soon combined with him trying to Dalinar Kholin to Darth Dalinar and failing at it.

SadeasDilafIadonDenthTonk FahMraizeIalaiMoashMalataZaneMilesPaalmEdwarnLewishiYomenAesudanKabsalRoshoneKanPaarKarRutharTanalanTelrii Eliminated Rashek cause he may have morally questionable actions but he certainly knows style Who would make the best matchmaker for a matchmaking company ?

I'd argue about Jasnah being more mature than Kaladin. Kaladin has taken responsibilities that Jasnah couldn't and wouldn't. Jasnah is absolutely more pragmatic in nature but do not see how Jasnah more or less mature than Kaladin/Renarin/Adolin/Dalinar. What is maturity even ? How would define maturity ? Is it acting socially acceptable in the eyes of the public ? Is it being your perspective being shaped the "correct" way whoever judged what the correct way is? Is it about owing responsibilities ? Is it about being more selfless or selfish in nature ? Is it about being less about doing what you feel and more about what should be done ? Is it about being jaded in life ? Is it about giving up living idealistically ?(isn't this what SA is about ) Or is it about leaning towards being less idealistic and more realistic ? I think alot of people would have different definition of what a mature person should act. I think we are talking about different definitions of maturity here if you think Jasnah is more mature. And i was mainly arguing about the age being the indicator of how mature a person. I do hope for Jasnah-Kaladin but i think the issue would be Kaladin is too idealistic and Jasnah is too pragmatic that they'd clash from there.

Being older does not equate to maturity. Being older doesn't mean the person is wiser. Hell being older doesn't mean the person is more responsible. I don't even need Stormlight Archives or Cosmere examples for this(if you really want there's two obvious ones in Warbreaker). You just need only need to look at real life( i've known younger people who are ALOT more responsible and mature than adults and i've known adults who are basically kids and not in a good way). Stop assuming that the older the person is the more wise/responsible/better than a younger. Age doesn't mean you're automatically better just gives you more chances to change for the better. Besides May-December Romance can totally work.

Kelsier as Odium or Ruin sounds terrifying and well-fit.
