Hoid has more unkeyed metalminds!!! (new WoB)
Fezzik replied to Steeldancer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
That's great! It ands more confirmation to the theory that Hoid wants to grab as much variety in the way of magic as he can. -
It is not a "bond", but WoK 15 says a Ryshadium chooses its rider, and not everyone is worthy of the horse. It sounds like a general spren-ish bond, with none of the individuality of, say, a cryptic vs an honorspen.

Boo, your cosmere idea sucks.

@Weltall, IIRC, in one of his middle school novels, Alcatraz's mother is revealed to be the one who killed asmodean. I wasn't around for the original discussion when WoT came out, but I saw the online debate later. Asmodean has the same sort of surreal feeling as floppy disks.

Not appearing for me either

what is the logic behind how the metallic symbols are formed? Table of elements. All of the internal metals have the single dot inside, while the external ones are along the circle or outside it.

But is the soul cognitive or spiritual? Instinctively, I think spiritual, but MB:SH and Kelsier's experience makes me think the cognitive aspect is the soul.

What if the creation of type iv entities is when the breaths don't have to be willingly given? What if shashara created Nightblood at that battle and all those thousand soldiers just had the life sucked out of them?

Maybe his resonance was when he died, how he kept healing, even when they removed all his metalminds.
-
Yeah. At the end of WoR, lopen starts to heal his arm. This is because Windrunners get followers with minor stormlight abilities that are better than, say, a Stoneward's squire's abilities.

Why would I want to preserve my appetite for dinner, when I could ruin it with cookies instead?

Hi. I found out belatedly that I was supposed to post myself here first, so better late than never.

Kaladin's are squires.

Preservation said: "Oh, Senna ... I'm losing this place. Losing them all ..." when Kelsier was comforting him after the slaughter that was the Siege of Luthadel. Senna sounds like, if not a former lover, a close confidant like Syl to Kal.

All SA book titles are in-universe books. Oathbringer is no different, so what is the book about? My guess is a history of the sword and its wielders. Other ideas?

Certain gemstones capture certain spren, so I would imagine soulcasting requires not the gemstones specifically, but the spren they contain.

The exact quote is rayse was a "loathsome and crafty individual" even before taking up odium. That being said, I'm fairly certain that he does, as you suggest, feel hatred toward the other shards, just not for the reasons you have.

Some Stormlight Archive Theories and Kandra Detection Strategies
Fezzik replied to Valtak's topic in Cosmere Discussion
And as for kandra worldhoppers, Mrall, Taravangian's bodyguard, is completely bald and can supposedly turn on and off his emotions because his master tells him to. (I-14) -
[Theory] Could the Honorblades be spikes?
Fezzik replied to mattstocum's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This fits with my theory that ambition is Trell, and Trellium brings cognitive shadows into the physical realm, like shades (trell's faceless immortals) and kelsier. -
In the ars arcanum of WoR, khriss mentions the "original yolish variant" of lightweaving. That is probably what hoid uses when telling stories to kaladin, in addition to the perfect pitch he talked about gaining (from BioChroma), and when he used allomancy in one of shallan's flashbacks.
