    Welcome, Josh! (And kudos to Wonko for the recruiting!) You're in for a great time. There's all sorts of fun stuff to do around here. My favorite hangouts are the Sanderson Memes thread (although most of the jokes are references to Brandon's books, so you might not get ones based on books you haven't read yet) and The Guild of Arts, where the theme is... you guessed it, art! Also, beware of "cookies." Depending on how far you've gotten into the original Mistborn trilogy, you might or might not understand me when I say "cookie" is the code word around here for a hemalurgic spike. Edited for typos.

    Started reading a book I heard about at LTUE called "The Flux Engine" by Dan Willis. It's a steampunk western (now those are two words you don't usually hear together!), and I've found it quite entertaining so far. (I'm about halfway through.)

    sheep, you may think that your older stuff was bad or even cringeworthy, but I am jealous of it! I admire every single piece you posted.

    I haven't read that one yet. (It's on my list, though!) Was it anything like the movie? Because that had a plot. A silly one, but a plot nevertheless.

    I do mostly traditional, although occasionally I will take a drawing I've done with colored pencil, scan it into the computer, and re-do it in Corel Painter X for a different look. Some examples: I think collaborating could be very fun! Adding color is actually what I have the most fun doing, so that could work out awesome with the two of us. (And I kind of have a really hard time drawing realistic-ish full-body views of people...) Somewhat related: I bought a new pack of 48 colored pencils from Hobby Lobby this week, and I'm super excited to try them out.

    Granted. You portal into Roshar in the middle of a highstorm, 500 feet in the air, and Kaladin is not there to save you. I wish Alcatraz 5 would be released next month instead of in September.

    This is basically how I felt about the ending. Seeing David with his father again just gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies. I'm sad that the Tia in David's reality died so that she and Prof don't get their happily ever after, but at least now he has a chance to be a hero more completely.

    Granted. Now you are hyper-aware of minute differences in color and think that everything clashes. I wish I could skip the rest of this semester and go straight to summer break.

    Harry has a foul mouth (and so do some of the other characters) sporadically throughout the books, but that aspect is worst in book 2, Fool Moon. The first time I tried to read the series, I stopped in the middle of that one because I was sick of all the f-bombs. There aren't as many in the other books, but they're still there. Violence... book 2 was probably the worst for that too; there's a total bloody massacre in that book. As for sex, there is one very explicit scene in book 5, Death Masks, that I heard about from a review and purposely skipped. Other than that scene, it's mostly just Harry having occasionally lustful thoughts about beautiful women, in terms of sexuality. So, yeah... They're definitely aimed toward an adult audience.
