  1. I'd be happy to do it. I can't vote for myself though, and I am kind of curious about the Shards best facial hair, so I'll vote @The Invested Beard.
  2. Tom Hardy has always been my top pick but he might be a bit old. And yeah, Bales Batman voice is horrid.
  3. So like Tom Hardy or Christian Bale?
  4. I think that Daisy Ridley would be an awesome fit for Marasi. I can't find a good Wayne though.
  5. I think that morality is absolute, but also, to a certain extent, non-absolute. As a religious person, I believe that there is a God, and that he dictates what is moral and what isn't. But @Calderis is absolutely right in that morality in our society also changes with time depending on how the majority of the people feel about different issues. The conclusion I see is that morality, and right and wrong in a society is indeed a construct, based on the current trends and opinions of the population. But then I also see some kind of true, non-changeable morality in God (the use of the word true here does not mean that I look down on other peoples views on morality, I just couldn't come up with a better word). The morality of God/religion (the Catholic Church in my case) is what I choose to believe in and follow, but those who aren't religious will obviously follow the ideas of their society (in most cases, anyway). Wether morality is absolute or not thus depends on who you are and what your worldview looks like. And yes, I realize that this post is a very long way of saying that everyone will see morality in a different light.
  6. I disagree with King Ts actions as well, and I agree that we shouldn't try to push our views onto one another. I discuss things like this because I find it fun. What I think is not that it is good to do what T does, but more along the lines of that T isn't evil or a bad human being. This is my way of seeing it, and I'm in a minority on the Shard when it comes to seeing it that way :-)
  7. I have an answer to this, but it is Edgedancer spoiler (big one):
  8. This is interesting. Do you think Regrowth could heal away a Chestburster? @Islington I believe in God too (I'm catholic, dunno about you). But I don't know if I agree with your stance here. I don't know what Jesus opinion would be, but for me, intent weighs heavier than actions. I believe King Ts actions to be evil, but his intent to be good, and as such, I see him as more of a good person than an evil.
  9. Also, Amaram hasn't inherited Oathbringer. We don't know who he and Ialai will give it too yet. Since I am a fan of Amaram (Amaram fan club is pretty empty btw, we are looking for members...) I like the idea, but @jofwu is making a good point. He wouldn't call himself a heretic. A sinner, maybe, but not a heretic.
  10. That would be fun. Dalinar giving Urithiru to Taravangian. King T will have early christmas should that happen. I don't think it will happen though. Stormfather invading peoples dreams will probably gain Dalinar some allies. I also can't see why he would abdicate. Give King T temporary control while he is gone uniting, yes. Abdicating, no. That would just remove some of the negotiating power he already has.
  11. Wanted: Honorable person to bond, who never breaks oaths or lies.
  12. @maxal I doubt we will see Adolin get away scot-free. Ialai and Amaram won't just forget Sadeas death, and neither will Shallan. She felt bad about not having found anything on his murderer last chapter.
  13. Must be hard to be Nale. "Storm it, why do the criminals follow the laws so good?"
  14. I'm reading SoS for school, and I noticed something interesting. When Wax first found Wayne, just after he shot the innocent man, Wayne complained about gunshots only he could hear. It reminded me of Szeth, who hears the screaming from the people he has killed. Can these two events have anything to with eachother. After all, the screams are not unique to Szeth:
  15. @Calderis I edited my post with more thoughts, but I think you might have missed it, since you replied before I was finished. But there is at least another option, namely that Re-Shepir wasn't discovered yet.
  16. Where is this stated? In the chapter? I don't really understand what you want to get to, either. That Re-Shepir was released just before this vision? Then I wonder why the Radiants didn't recognize her work. If they know what Midnight Essence is, but not about Re-Shepir, it hints toward two things: -Midnight Essence was discovered long before Re-Shepir was. -Someone/something else than Re-Shepir can create ME. Also, Calderis, your rep level is kind of perfectly timed for Oathbringer. Has this been your plan all along?
  17. Guys, the thread for last weeks chapters is thirteen pages total. This is fourteen. Already.
  18. Do you like the idea of fish sticks on pizza? Who would win in a fight between Darth Vader and Spongebob? Is the Flash your favorite character in fiction, and which version of him do you like the most?
  19. Yeah. I too feel that Loki is the saving grace of Dark World. His scenes in that movie are pretty great.
  20. I found a problem with this idea. If we read Kalaks POV in the Prelude, it seems like he is always tortured upon returning to Damnation. Also, @Steeldancer and @FiveLate we don't necessarily have to have ten or eleven Desolations just because of that a new one kicks in if the Heralds stay. Honor might have tokd them what would happen if they didn't go back, and thus, they just went back nicely every time.
  21. Pretty short, considering that the apocalypse has arrived.
  22. Is this the book where Gerald appears? I really must read it in that case ;-) Sorry, Gigalemesh. Really can't help myself.
