We do have WoB that humanity originated on Yolen: (source) But yeah I'm definitely of the opinion that Adolnalsium Shattered on Yolen (since I'm reasonably confident that Liar of Partinel, which is Hoid's backstory book, is going to tell that story and it takes place on Yolen).

Investigation: Realmatic Matter Transference
WeiryWriter replied to Tempus's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well we have seen two-ish examples of ghosts in the cosmere, a phenomenon known as a "cognitive shadow". This is what Kelsier is after his death, he sticks around in the Cognitive instead of "passing on". Shades, from Threnody, are also cognitive shadows. Here is a WoB sort of related to this: (source) -
It helps that I knew exactly where that quote was.

There is WoB on this: (source)

Brandon's Writing Class - 2014
WeiryWriter replied to WeiryWriter's topic in General Brandon Discussion
There are some administrative issues going on that they are currently trying to get resolved. Hopefully they will become available soon. -
Words of Radiance #1 NYT Bestseller list
WeiryWriter replied to guess's topic in General Brandon Discussion
There is already a thread discussing this (but since it is in the spoiler sub-forum you probably didn't see it) (But no spoilers that I can see in that thread): www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/6773-words-of-radiance-debuts-at-1-on-ny-best-sellers-list/ -
No, the midnight signing was in Utah.

Thanks for this, but someone had already done this and posted it yesterday: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/7219-excepts-from-words-of-radience-in-order/

There are ten surges and ten orders. That quote refers to the other magic systems on Roshar. "Surges" are the abilities that are a part of Surgebinding (like how ironpulls/steelpushes are a part of allomancy).

I guess there are adminstrative issues they have to deal with.

Well it helps that I've read most everything, and I remember pretty much all of it, and then its just a matter of finding it. But I like helping people out, the database isn't exactly conducive to finding some stuff...
-
Its hard because we get a significant amount of our cosmere knowledge from interviews, (such as the names for all the planets except for Roshar) so you are probably going to be waiting decades (and that is assuming everything will make its way into the books, which is kind of unlikely). We just have such a wealth of extra-textual information. Another cosmere related thing in Elantris, besides Hoid, is the Lake/Pool which is a shardpool like the Well of Ascension.

We are positive about that second statement, see here and here. And its heavily implied that he was talking about Adonalsium there. Here is the actual WoBs: See how he uses the word "technically" there? Twice? He wouldn't have used such language if all the shards had gone there independently. Also we know that Adonalsium visited Roshar and left behind investiture, so "technically" so did all the shards. The "there was 4th shard on Roshar" theory is one the crops up over and over again, but it is definitely false.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
WeiryWriter replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Actually, the question just used balderdash as an example. And I don't think it would be RAFO'd but I don't think we would get more of an answer than we already have. -
The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
WeiryWriter replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
13. I would say experience. Jasnah has had six years of practice, Shallan had Soulcast twice at that point. 15. Splintering is not permanent. 16. The definition of RAFO-bait I would say. (But I do have a theory about this...) 17. This has been asked, the only answer Brandon gave was "Everything Wit says is important, by how much or little it varies" -
Most of the Heralds had name changes to make them more symmetrical by Vorinism (keep in mind "h" is a wildcard)(nicknames in parentheses) Jezrien -> Jezerezeh Nale -> Nalan Chanarach (Chana) -> Chanaranach Vedel -> Vedeledev Paliah (Pali) -> Pailiah Shalash (Ash) - no change Battar -> Battah Kalak -> Kelek Talenel (Taln) -> Talenelat Ishar -> Ishi But Nohadon was given as a holy name because it was more symmetrical than his given name.

I don't see how Snapping has anything to do with this? Anyway Brandon doesn't go into much depth, all that is said is that Seons can be Passed. They definitely don't beat anyone, if I remember correctly both Raoden and Sarene received their Seons at birth?

To explain myself I do not think the shardpools are used for worldhopping, directly. I think they facilitate transitioning between the Physical and Cognitive (and maybe the Spiritual?) Realms. Once a person is in the Cognitive Realm they can worldhop but the shardpool is no longer really a factor in that process. And I do think that when the Elantrians are "dissolving" they are being transitioned to the Cognitive Realm. As I mentioned (I think?) in my previous post, I remember a WoB where Brandon says we have seen someone enter the Cognitive Realm physically who isn't Jasnah/Shallan, the only thing I can think of that fits is the Elantrians.
