  1. I think we can definitively say no. Keep in mind that Honor was still very much alive when the Heralds abandoned the Oathpact, giving up their honorblades.
  2. Moving this to the spoiler forum. But as GreyPilgrim says Szeth does tell Kaladin his name and mention Lashing.
  3. All of the Ars Arcana are written by the same person. We know this person is not Hoid. Personally I'm inclined to think it is Khriss, a character from an unpublished book that Brandon has mentioned numerous times during htis tour, as she is far more knowledgeable about the cosmere than Hoid. (And correction, she compared Lightweaving to the "original Yolish varient" so its Yolen, not Sel.
  4. I would say no Nightblood is not a spren, he is just spren-like. (In the way that Seons are not spren, but they are spren-like. And Shadesmar, while it technically means Cognitive Realm, more accurately refers to a region of the Cognitive Realm (namely the part that corresponds to Roshar). So there is a single Cognitive Realm, in the same way there is a single Physical Realm. The wagon wheel analogy doesn't quite fit in my opinion, it isn't a simple as entering and then leaving. However space works differently in the Cognitive Realm, places where there is a lot of cognitive activity, like a city, is expanded in the Cognitive Realm, while those where there isn't, like empty space, is contracted. This is why the Cognitive Realm is used for worldhopping, the space between worlds becomes essentially non-existant. So if Jasnah wanted to Soulcast a Scadrian stick into fire she would have to first enter Shadesmar and then travel to the region of the Cognitive Realm that corresponds to Scadrial.
  5. Do you happen to have svgs of these you could upload to the wiki? (nice job by the way)
  6. I would disagree with this because not all foci are physical. The focus for Awakening, for example is Cognitive, in the form of the Commands.
  7. Brandon does not have the highest possible rank. Chaos specifically redesigned the rankings so that they would go significantly higher than they did in the past so that in the years to come there is still variation (as opposed to all of us having the same ranking).
  8. Yes there was... oops... http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=708#7
  9. Here is what we have ('tis not great, and needs to be improved though). (confirmation that WoK and AoL are close together in time) Anyway it has not been revealed how Demoux is still alive, but [theory] he is an atium burner, he just needs to have access to feruchemical atium to get a longer life (if only he knew a benevolent god who could probably grant that ability).
  10. the Manywar happened about 300 years before the events of Warbreaker, which takes place somewhere after Hero of Ages (which itself is about 350 years before WoK. Contrast this with the fact that the Heralds (including Ishar) abandoned their honorblades 4,500 years before WoK. Personally I do not believe Vasher is a Herald, at all.
  11. I wasn't really surprised by Jasnah ending up alive, at all. I knew that Feather was satisfied with what happened to Jasnah based on stuff that happened at the end of the book and I trusted her on that. Personally I think that if Jasnah had just died like that (and was not latter revealed to be alive) it would have been bad writing. Death of the Mentor is an incredibly common trope and to play it that straight (and pretty much gloss over it) is just meh? It just isn't the death scene that Jasnah deserves.
  12. Thanks for sharing, but there is already a thread discussing it that RShara linked to.
  13. psst... you might want to look at post number three...
  14. They don't have to be "almost dead" (and they definitely can't already be dead). Any human can be turned into a koloss if they get the correct spikes.
  15. I have a theory about this (link in my signature) about how Adonalsium cannot be put back together that really needs to be updated with some of the newer WoBs. Basically I'm inclined to believe that Adonalsium was not subject to the Intents of the Shards, that they were "created" during the Shattering. (this is supported somewhat by the fact that Adonalsium could have Shattered into Shards with different Intents than those that exist) Yes Ruin and Preservation have "merged" to an extent, but they still exist as discrete entities. Actually that is not at all what I'm saying. I said the two shards are still distinct, because Sazed still feels the pull of both Intents but that if Sazed were to die he would drop a single shard. Ruin and Preservation have been "intermingled" to an extent so they can still be separated but it is not an automatic thing if Sazed were to die.
  16. It is complicated, they can be considered one shard or two depending on the situtation. If Sazed were to die he would drop a single "Harmony" but he still has the two intents pulling on him, which means they are still distinct. (BTW I am a fervent believer that "Harmony" does not have its own inherent intent) Sazed does find it difficult to act as a result of the opposing Intents: (source)
  17. If I remember correctly, it is going to be released in an anthology with the brainstormed stories of Mary, Howard, and Dan.
  18. Its a short story that was brainstormed on an episode of writing excuses. An excerpt of it was released during the Steelhunt. It is set on a minor Shardworld.
  19. Not every shard has an opposite. The dichotomy of Ruin and Preservation is not the norm among Shards.
  20. I doubt Allomantically, he wouldn't have obtained the bead of lerasium yet.
  21. If you have a physical copy you can email brandon a picture of you with it and he'll send an ebook copy. (I don't think they've added this scene to it yet but I'm like 95% sure they are going to eventually?)
  22. Taken care of.
  23. Uh? I don't see where it autocorrects?
  24. Actually what Windy is saying is that Hell no longer autocorrects to calamity.
  25. @Feather: Everyone likes a good villian, and Mraize has the makings of a great one. And anyway your obsession with Mraize is old news, you've mentioned it before...
