  1. Are all spren Splinters? Or are only "sentient" spren (or who have the capability of sentience) like Syl Splinters?

    Wayne?

Actually he most definitely did *not* want Feruchemists. Yes some Inquisitors had Feruchemical gold spikes, which were created from Feruchemists captured by the Ministry, but the Ministry was not breeding Feruchemists in any way, shape, or form. They wanted to get rid of it, if they came across one they would kill them. So any spikes created are happy accidents for the Lord Ruler and not an on going operation.
  3. I think the "Adonalsium cannot be put back together" is my only theory that fits the criterion for it to be "valuable". The Shardic Radiation one might have but that's been pretty much killed. I've been meaning to give the Adonalsium one a revamp but I just haven't had the time to work on it.
  4. OOh, I like this. I was never a fan of that first image. Maybe Peter will be able to shed some light on this? If he so chooses.
  5. It is Daylight Savings Time in the UK as well though, for me its 8:30 right now in EDT, and it;s 1:30 in London.
  6. That doesn't seem right, Mountain time should be -7GMT, since Eastern is -5 and Central is between Eastern and Mountain...
  7. Weiriah looked out from behind the curtains, trying to remain out of sight from those in the street below. A mob had passed not that long ago, she had hidden with her children on the uppermost floor. I'm going to have to go out for food soon. It was a daunting thought. She looked over at her three children, they weren't looking good. Nellek, was putting on a brave face but Weiriah could tell he knew things were going to get worse before they got better. The twins though... They were terrified, they didn't understand what was going on or where their father was... She turned back to window, Oh Almighty why have you forsaken us? She had a hard time believing he was out there watching over her family. Tomorrow, she'd go out...
  8. "We better be saving the best for last..." That actually hurt to hear, knowing what is coming...
  9. Yes, yes the Accent, you have discovered us. (Awesome, the Secrets are still safe, they think it's the Accent! They'll never suspect us non-British Anglicans until we rise up with our powers of [Redacted] and take over the world!)
  10. A certain Magical Technology on Scadrial theory is pretty good. I would say it is one of the leading theory about the mechanical Metallic Arts.
  11. Actually their hair *is* white, it's their skin that is silver. That said, there really is no evidence that he is an Elantrian, Actually there is evidence that he is not, since he is not a Reod-Elantrian when he shows up in Elantris.
  12. Nope, it was originally packaged as an Adult Fantasy.
  13. Actually it comes out and says that it is a Christian sect in the book. More specifically I would say it is a parallel to the Anglican Church, i.e. the Church of England (for the most part-ish). Both are headed by the monarch of England (or Brittania). They also both give out magic powers. Oh wait... I'm not supposed to talk about those am I?
  14. Do you have a link for that? (Sorry, misread the first part of your post) Since it goes against what is stated in Alloy: Granted they don't know everything, but if it was a simple as "stick your hand out" I think they would know? Even if you could push your hand outside of the boundary it would still act as if it was inside: (source)
  15. No, people can't cross the boundary of a speed bubble, and objects are either entirely in or entirely out (since he would still be holding the gun it would have to be still be in).
  16. Hmm I wonder what it could be. I guess the obvious thing would be something Stormlight, my gut wants to say no but its probably this. I know Brandon wanted to do a 10-year anniversary edition of Elantris, which would be really cool but its about a year to early for that. Probably not something Mistborn since it is currently being re-released as a YA. Gahh I want to know!
  17. Actually I believe "firemark" refers to a ruby mark, "bloodmark" is the term for a garnet mark. And the thing is that color is very important (same as with the ratios for allomantic alloys) an off-color (or wrong-color) gem acts like a bad alloy would in Allomancy.
  18. It looks like the three graphic novels are all based on the single prose novel based on this tweet form Peter.
  19. The only in-world example of this is Thug vs Pewterarm for pewter mistings. Skaa tend to use the former, Nobles the latter.

    Wayne?

I'd like the point out that the Coppermind does not say Wayne's father is a "full" Feruchemist. The term "Feruchemist" does not differentiate between Ferrings and "full" Feruchemist, in the same way "Allomancer" refers to both Mistings and Mistborn. I feel like a "full" feruchemist occupies the same space in the public consciousness as Mistborn do, i.e. a legend from an older time.
  21. Somebody translated that sheet (which is from the Treatise Metallurgic in the MAG) a while back. If you want to translate it yourself, the Coppermind has a chart.
  22. Except of those, only Iri and Natanatan were Silver Kingdoms. (Theylenar doesn't even exist, it's Theylenah) Aimia Alethela Iri Makabakam Natanatan Rishir Sela Tales Shin Kak Nish Thalath Valhav are the Ten Kingdoms. (And if we do go for the each Herald was associated with a Kingdom I do think Taln and Alethela would be connected. Taln is the Herald of War, Alethela was the kingdom dedicated to war, "Taln" appears outseide of Alethela's capital)
  23. We know that this isn't the case. There is a WoB that when Odium visited Sel there were no Seons.
  24. Woo! It's good to finally have news about this. Having read White Sand, I really can't wait. I do wonder whether the "three books" are a serialization of the prose book or if they are the entire trilogy. Edit: I'm moving this to the General Brandon discussion forum.
  25. On the Elantris timing: TWoK takes place either before, or concurrently with, Alloy of Law Alloy of Law is 341 years after Hero of Ages The Mistborn trilogy takes place over 5-6 years Elantris takes place "hundreds but not thousands of years" before the Mistborn trilogy. The Splintering of Devotion and Dominion is even father back (probably at least a thousand years)
