  1. Literally every page. There's a reason Brandon didn't want people to find out about it until after they had finished with Bands.
  2. This might be a mistake, or is a really stealthy reveal on Brandon's part, from the first page of Chapter 24: “Marasi dug in her purse, pulling out the little spike that belonged to ReLuur. Such a small thing, and so clean-a shining sliver of…pewter, was it?” Pewter is not one of the metals used in the four types of Blessings used in the Final Empire. So if this isn't just a "typo", then either Marasi is mistaken or the kandra have figured out how to create Blessings from spikes granting Feruchemcal abilities, which I thought Brandon had said they hadn't.
  3. EdroGrimshell and Alfa, as per the current spoiler policy I've hidden your posts. Material from Bands is NOT to be referenced outside of the spoiler forum at this time, regardless of whether it is in a spoiler tag.
  4. I've edited the title, please try to be vague when naming threads (as per the current spoiler policy). Anyway there is already a thread discussing whether Fortune is a Shard here. And yes we are absolutely positive there is no Shard on Threnody, there is WoB on that somewhere.
  5. The Beyond does not refer to the Spiritual Realm actually. It refers to a place that is quite literally Beyond the Three Realms. Shards cannot look into the Beyond but they can look into the Spiritual Realm (anyone can really).
  6. You really should wait.
  7. We're pretty sure it's Khriss, we may not have explicit confirmation but the evidence is overwhelming. Regardless the author is female. The stormlight audio books differentiate viewpoints by readers (males are read my Michael Kramer and females by Kate Redding) and the ars Arcanum is read by Kate.
  8. The part 5 symbol is one of my favorite minor things in the book. It took be a second to realize what it was but when I did I freaked out over how cool it was. Edit: I sincerely doubt the stylized version is the hack, there's no intrinsic power to the Steel alphabet characters. I get the impression the hacking is a much more involved project.
  9. Brandon/Peter have been asked about this on the Twitter and the gist of their answers is that the rights are complicated because Secret History is going to be included in the Arcanum Unbound anthology which is being published by Tor. So if it does have one it will be as part of the anthology.
  10. Moving this thread to the spoiler forum to conform with the current spoiler policy,
  11. Huh, that's something I had never actually thought about. Reminds me of one of the religions Sazed has in his collection about the people who believed that everybody had a finite amount of bad luck.
  12. It was Era 2 when the Era system was introduced. Brandon briefly tried to change it to Era 1.5 starting partway through December, but it is again referred to as Era 2 in the postscript of Secret History. As far as the wiki is concerned Era 2 is the correct term.
  13. No, the Wax & Wayne books are still considered part of the Mistborn series (they're referred to as "Mistborn Era 2").
  14. I would argue that while their are currently no Mistborn, there's nothing preventing them from existing in the future. In early explanations of what is now Era 3 Brandon mentioned an "Allomantic SWAT team going after a Mistborn serial killer".
  15. If I remember correctly Peter said the Unfinished Secret was different from the word document in the background.
  16. I've edited the title of this thread and moved it to the spoiler forum. Please read the current spoiler policy.
  17. Somebody actually asked Brandon about this during the Shadows tour and he confirmed that she is mildly autistic.
  18. If I remember correctly (and keep in mind I've not read Dragonsteel Prime itself) Topaz is a nickname.
  19. It's Wayne though, he consistently talks like that.
  20. Cephandrius is not Hoid's original name, just an early pseudonym (it's the name he uses in Dragonsteel Prime).
  21. Brandon has been asked about those extra symbols, and the jist of his answer was that those symbols do not refer only to the metals, they are also the characters of the Steel alphabet. They are needed to represent certain sounds, but do not refer to a metal.
  22. It appears that Brandon changed his mind back on that as the Wax and Wayne series is referred to as Era 2 in the postscript of Secret History.
  23. 1) Yes you did miss the memo. Brandon announced that Era 2 would be 4 books long over a year ago when Shadows and Bands were announced and during the 2014 State of the Sanderson. 2/3) The current plan is for there to be 4 Eras, we're still getting a more modern series set in the equivalent of the 1980's. It seems that Brandon's plans for it have altered as he has not mentioned the nicrosil misting main character in a while, but he has mentioned a young Terriswoman programmer being a lead character.
  24. Oh they're definitely Elantrians. Their group name is an aon, their individual names are aon-derived, they make reference to Devotion, and use the phrase "Merciful Domi". And I also got a strong fabrial vibe from that.
