  1. In the comment feed they do mention that not all of the stretch goals are at intervals of $15,000, some of them are smaller.
  2. Actually yes we do. There's a WoB that says that when Odium visited Sel (in order to kill Devotion and Dominion) there were no seons.
  3. I literally got that pop-up as I was reading this, and I agree with Mestiv that it's more of a feature than a bug. I wasn't at the point in the thread where I wanted to read The Only Joe's post, but I clicked the button so that it was read for when I got there. I don't want to just skip ahead to the newest post, I want to make sure I read everything up to it too.
  4. You can't include spaces in the square brackets.
  5. It got pushed back to September a while ago, Isaac and co just needed more time to get everything squared away art-wise I think. The September date is the correct one.
  6. When asked during the Shadows of Self and Calamity tours he said that they are still trying to get it made, but he still hasn't seen any playable builds or anything. He's said that for the time being it's pretty much vaporware. He still likes the guys who are doing it though.
  7. Mostly for the same reason Brandon includes art in the first place, a sense of immersion. Most of the pieces are labeled with the Latin script for readability's sake, but Brandon wanted to include a couple that would give a better sense of world. Granted they still don't look exactly as they would in-world since the text is still in English just written using the women's script (not glyphs), but it's close enough. And of course Brandon does like to give us puzzles to solve.
  8. Just did a minor stylistic change, adding color to alternating rows. I think this makes it a lot easier to read.
  9. Ah they must have changed it, when that page was first posted it was duralumin.
  10. "Cosmere afterlife, I'm so invested in this" -- was that an intentional pun, or coincidental? "Kelsier stuck around until Book 3" -- *dirty laughter* The scenes with Wax and Harmony are seriously some of my favorite parts of the book (I also love the "I'm not completely useless" scene with Steris). Oh I would certainly agree that Wayne isn't joking, he's definitely just being mean, and I think that makes perfect sense with his character. I think we all really tend to get caught up with the effect of Lessie's death on Wax and forget that he wasn't the only one who loved her and mourned her. Sure it wasn't romantic but with the way Wayne views Wax he has to have seen Lessie as a "big sister" of sorts. We also see that Wayne really doesn't (didn't?) have a concept of "moving on" so when Wax starts the relationship with Steris he would view that as a fundamental betrayal of Lessie and her memory. But he can't be mad at Wax because of the whole hero-worship thing so that anger gets transferred to Steris. But of course that's probably all subconcious and stuff and I've probably thought about this way to much... I say "AHL-ick" That end reaction was just perfect. Also, are you planning on doing a Splintercast for White Sand?
  11. I don't know if we definitively know that? We just know that it takes place during the "midpeace".
  12. So I have long abstained from getting into comics, because they're a rabbit hole I knew I could get lost in and they tend to take a more wibbly-wobbly stance on canon (they treat it more like the Pirate Code than I would prefer). I've been really getting into Arrow/Flash/Supergirl over the past years, which tempted me but didn't ultimately sway me. Then I watched Young Justice and became Dick Grayson/Nightwing trash. So far I've only read the DC Universe Rebirth issue and I'm planning on reading Nightwing Rebirth, Titans Rebirth, and Teen Titans Rebirth (because I'm cheap and need to limit myself).
  13. So I've finally had the time and motivation to finish a long term project of mine, a timeline of events for Words of Radiance. Before I officially post it though I could really use another set of eyes to go over it just to make sure everything works out. http://coppermind.net/wiki/User:WeiryWriter/Timeline/Words_of_Radiance
  14. Last August we ran an article covering the Mistborn related showings Crafty Games had at GenCon, most notably the board game they had been working on. Now they are ready to Kickstart it. The campaign officially launches next Wednesday, June 15th, but they have posted a draft giving us a sneak peak. The basics of the campaign are this: they are asking for $30,000 and the minimum pledge to get a copy of the game is $50. There is a lot more to look through on the campaign page draft, which I encourage everyone to go check out. There's a video that covers the basic mechanics of the game. There is a list of fourteen planned stretch goals, which includes more Noble houses to play as. You can also see some of the art from the game, from quite a few different artists. One thing that did catch my eye is under the pledge Add-ons. Each of the books for the Mistborn Adventure game are available to add on, along with sets of Mistborn Dice. They also tease however the follow up to the Alloy of Law supplement dealing with everything that was revealed in Shadows of Self and The Bands of Mourning! Also if you do plan on backing the Kickstarter I would strongly recommend signing up for the Crafty Games Newsletter as any subscribers who back will receive a free malatium die! This is not one of the symbols in the retail set, and has not been available in any other way until now..
  15. The thing is Brandon has spoken about how if he only wrote Stormlight, we wouldn't get the books any faster, jumping from series to series is how he stays fresh.
  16. I doubt it since they don't write using the Latin script.
  17. They generally try to get it up relatively soon after the release. But they are also pretty busy people and might forget to do it, in which case asking them on twitter would probably be helpful.
  18. That was the first mention of Era 1.5 (if I remember correctly) but that is from over a month before Secret History.
  19. I say Ars Arcanum the same way, so I'm just go ahead and say we're right. 'Cause we can't /both/ be wrong, right? Snapping is still a thing, and I'm pretty sure all Sazed did was lower the threshold (i.e. it no longer takes a life-threatening beating to Snap) "...he puts the Bands on and saves everybody seems /way/ to straightforward for a Brandon book" hehe, well... Ah yes, the shenanigans. I love that word.
  20. He will often send a pronunciation guide but he has no input on accents and such, that is solely up to the readers.
  21. Looks like that spelling came from a WoB, the way it was pronounced in the recording lead to that spelling. So Pailiah is her actual name and not just the Vorinized version of it?
  22. The reverse actually, it started as Era 2, then he tried to change it to Era 1.5, and then went back to Era 2. (source)
  23. Oh they definitely mean something. Heralds often feature in the arches of chapters where a member of their order features (i.e. Jezrien for Kaladin, Shalash for Shallan). The masked man usually shows up whenever Hoid (or another worldhopper, like Mraize) is featured/mentioned. Heralds also show up when something in the chapter aligns with their divine attributes. Beyond that there are hints that are connections we don't know about yet. If you go read the WoR Re-Read over on Tor.com they do a section where they talk about this.
  24. If I remember correctly there is a short feature on the Bands broadsheet that asks whether Harmony has a metal but it is not named therein. Also I will point out that Brandon has backed off on the Era 1.5 thing and the Wax & Wayne era is officially Era 2 (and is referred to as such in the postscript of Secret History).
  25. To be honest I'm definitely in the "Sazed is wrong, sazedium is an awesome name" camp, because harmonium is a musical instrument not a god metal.
