Nono you have right, but also the Sun, whatever it is. It's not the Spiritual Realm/Beyond itself... but a poor manifestation of the Spiritual/Beyond/ecc... in the Cognitive. In the same way what you see in the Cognitive Realm is a manifestation of the physical Realm.... You have to push yourself aganist the Realm's border to "see" the real Physical realm from the cognitive (like we saw in the SH).

With F-Tin I think you may be able to store always all your touch sense to avoid the pain.
-
As far as we know Kelsier when he arrives to Ire's base is still in Scadrial's Cognitive Realm just really near to its borders. I think a Splinter bonded with another being may overcome the pulling effect of his Homeland thanks to its tie with the partner (like an anchor).
-
Well the physical realm is visible in some twisted form from the Cognitive.

Probably the power of the well is just enough to give to someone some seconds of Ascension. If you use less you can't bypass mortality and actively use the power as highter being. In the same way as Vin fueled by Preservation's power while he was in mortal form, become a Godlike Mistborn but yet she was limitated to mortals' magic.

Yes you have to be capable of manipulate Investiture in that kind of metal (with Allomancy or Feruchemy) to check the actual Feruchemical charge. But for every other metal than Alluminium a Steel/Iron Ferring may discover metalminds for the effort he need to push/pull on them. PS: Probably an Alluminiumind can't be unkeyed for its own definition.

Vasher has with him a great amount of Breath to use to his sustainment (but a Returned with manage to drawn in Stormlight may use Stormlight to remain alive). About "Destroy Evil"'s CEO, Nightblood may feed of every king of Investiture (Breath, Mist, Feruchemical charge, Stormlight, Allomantic power, Soul, Dor, ecc...) therefore someone with some of this source of power may use it for some time (well if you have only your soul...you are pretty dead man). But to sustain his mind, Nightblood didn't need "extra fuel", this is needed only to unleash its full power.

But I don't understand. why the belt had to be a Metalmind in the past. It's possible it's was just metal, not an old AlluminiumMind without his old Charge. I see no point of the Belt as Metalmind or if it was a Metalmind it's may be simple to avoid putting Alluminium in the Bands to make its design more easy.

If the entity is the one we call "Trell". We saw his/her Metal gives some "stealthy" proprieties when used as Spike. It's possible Tan was Spiked with a trellium Spike (something little and hidden).

It's a matter of Connection like other said before me. But in the Kel's specific situation. He has another problem, as Cognitive Shadow He has no Connection with the Physical Realm. This made him a "faulty Vessel" for a Shard and its Power (as Ruin said). Probably every standard living man with the "Ire's Device" will be a better Vessel for a Shard.
-
He may be a diversive. Giving some Metal accessories to the statues, made the Spear seems less out of place (He was a Godlike Emperor with every metallic Arts some metal on him is quite legit) If someone checks the Belt, he may discover anything odd and procede with his journey (The Beld is more reachable than the Spear I presume).

Hoid in The Emperor's Soul (Major Spoilers)
Yata replied to Stranker's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
My initial hypotesis was that a Selish's Magic User with the Sceptre may travel in another region of Sel and use the "ReCoded" simbols to use his Magic there as if he is a local mage. Example: An Elantrian goes to the Rose Empire, and with the Sceptre's conversion He may use AonDor through MaiPon's characters. But there are things that made me doubt of my own idea -
Collection of all information involving Arsteel and Yesteel
Yata replied to Aliroz-The-Confused's topic in Warbreaker
The only things I remember are: - Arsteel was the best swordsman of them (and probably of Nalthis at all) - Astreel was probably of good heart, and he wanted to put together the old band. - Yesteel is very good at stealth, or at least is better of Vasher - Yesteel is the Ichor's creator and has probably a lot of knowledge about the Lifeless's creation and managment. -
I think that Emotional Allomancy works with Cognitive Pulses, after all a Copper Ferring is immune to Emotional Allomancy and in the end Copper "cover" Allomantic Pulses. If this is true the only natural defence aganist Emotional Allomancy is a strong Identity and in the end also an animal may have stronger identity than human (because more simply), but of course less than a Stick

We may become Tattoo Twins XD

Yes I though the same, but I have just a little doubt... is Identity Spiritual in nature ? Are you sure ? I remember it as Cognitive in Nature.
-
Well probably a Shardpool works as Perpendicularity but there are Perpendicularities not related to Shardpools. Because if Perpendicularities are the main way to travel through Realms, only the major Shardworlds will be able to get someone to the Cognitive (and from the Cognitive to the Physical).
-
It's possible that the "Sun" is the Beyond or a GreatMind... But I think something in SH pushes yet as Sun=Spiritual Realm. And now that I think about: We know that the Shards (or at least Harmony) can't touch the Beyond, I find unlikely for the Beyond to be quite "near" in a Cognitive view. Also for the reason I putted in the Spoiler tag.
-
It's hard to say.... Human-attribute's twist the user and probably you may have a lot of possibilities based on where you put the Copper Spike
-
I remember a "was tan controlled or influenced by something ?" "yes" but nothing that point on Harmony or something else (a RAFO maybe). But at the moment I can't search them and therefore I may be wrong

Not exactly, Ruin's prison isn't exactly a prison.. In the end Ruin isn't really imprisoned in the well. But Preservation "programmed" his Power to automatically stop whatetever Ruin's try to do. When someone take the Well, he manage the Preservation's power (a little bit who with the time condensates in the Well) and if He gives this power to Ruin (release the power) the "prison" take it as a comand to stop his work PS: Post wrote at the sime time of SafestPear's one

Yes I have to admit we know quite nothing about Emotional Allomancy working (I feel myself like a old Jon Snow XD)

I always saw Sadeas as one of those people who have really limited knowledge of the whole situation. It was the arcetype of an Alethi's Nobles, just a powerhungry warlover man. He had no time or interesting in anything more than richness and prestige. Like a ignorant bully who ignores the events out of his school.
-
Yes you still needs the metals. But maybe you may use Nicrosil to store raw Investiture to use later as Allomantic Fuel... this is unkown. But because the Bands didn't implement this possibility probably it's not possible. Both the people who used the Bands in BoM have to take a vial of metal before feel the Allomantic reserve (well Wax had already Steel inside, but he needs the others metal to start using other Allomantic Powers)
-
Possible, but also if this works perfetcly (some trick to avoid all the problems you found), an Internet like our is cheaper and more flexible. Just because they may use Magic to do something, this doesn't mean that magic works better than mundane tech ;-)
