  1. Actually we don't know if Seon and Skaze were born before D&D's death or after. Anyway about the Splintering of Honor, we are pretty sure: - Rayse will never kill a Vessel without Spinter the Shard... It's quite useless to him - If the Shard was whole, probably Tanavast's Cognitive Shadow would turn back and pick Honor again... It would not be so powerful as before but well better than nothing - Someone else in the century will pick up the Shard if Tanavast can't.... or Tanavast himself may search a replacement. - We know the Sapient Spren's popolation growed a lot... and this is probably the result of Honor's Splintering (or Cultivation decides to suicide) And of course we have a WoB (I wrote the post before searching on the forum a direct WoB)
  2. Yes Windrunner, It was the one I talk about
  3. The problem is that (I can't say for Adonalsium) a Shard isn't Sentient Investiture, it need an outside mind (a Vessel) to use the power. A Splinter instead for definition is sentient from his own... Probably also the Divine Breath are sentient at some level. As last thing you may notice the difference between an Adonalsium's Shard and an Adonalsium's Splinter... They aren't the same thing only bigger (or smaller), there are difference between them other than raw power
  4. Roshar popolation lives their entire lives with the Spren. It's normal to them call the living Investiture "Spren", but this doesn't mean they know what they are calling. For example, they will Call every Shard... "Spren" but in the end they considerate the Allmighty a god and not a Spren, probably because they have a twisted view of the Realmatic Theory. We know instead that a Spren is Splinter. and we know a Splinter is an amount of Investiture who develops selfawares..... With this logic a Shard can't be a Spren because it "take" his mind from someone else
  5. Actually in the Cosmere the Brain aren't the source of the Cognitive, the mind is pretty separate by the biology... this is the reason for things like Cognitive Shadow and the "trip" everyone made after death
  6. If i remember right we have a WoB that said a Bloodmaker may regrow his own head with enough Healing
  7. I may try to find it (but with the new layout may be hard) but I think talked about TLR because:
  8. In their first times after the Ascension they may control themself better. Then... it's not easy to kill a Shard, they had the same power at the beginning. We don't know how Odium may kill "easy" other Shards
  9. mmm and if they knows where he kepth his Goldmind and cut them from the body while he tapped it... whold He completely regrow from a Finger ? (if the Goldmind is a ring of course) PS: he may cut his head (in your idea) or his metalmind (if the mine is possible) alone to allow the regrow PPS: My idea can't work on him... He would have his Atiummind no more... and die.
  10. Maybe I have wrong, I read Dead men as "people believed dead" but quite every other details is pretty precise with the scene: “They come from the pit (they returned from the Chasms after a fatal fall), two dead men (Kal and Shallan are believed death from the fall), a heart in their hands (kal take with him the Chasmfield's Gemheart), and I know that I have seen true glory (kal jokes with Dalinar about the Chasmfiend and the GemHeart he took back... also Gloryspren arose from his act).”
  11. Actually Ruin and Preservation was Metalblind ON SCADRIAL because there the Metals are gateway for power and glows in the Cognitive Realm... The same thing will happen to everyone on the Scadrial's Cognitive realm... On other place (for example Yolen) they will see normal metals (They would have problem with Yolen's Focus... whatever it is). And actually Alluminium is pretty common...just it need an advanced tech to extract it (just saw how much is cheap on Earth) and remember that Adonalsium probably created the whole Cosmere from his Investitute/power... I don't think He may not know the Alluminium and its proprieties.
  12. Ah ok I was unsure if you read only WotK
  13. I don't know if you read Words of Radiance but this: It's already happended.
  14. He was in pure Spiritual Shock...For some seconds He didn't actually know what he have to do
  15. Sure man, but before Honor's Death a part of his power made Spren (like Cultivation) but after his death his whole power was Splintered... It's some magnitude greater of "create some Splinters"
  16. In my mind Rider of the Storm, Nightwatcher and Cusicesh are the only three Sapient Adonlasium's Spren and they were the three Bondsmith's Spren.... But this idea has some problems. Anyway again Honor is Splintered while the other two Shards no. Therefore Honor has a ton of Splinters more than O&C...Remember with every Splinter a Shard became a little weaker.
  17. There is something that just comes to my mind reading your last post Jondesu. With Honor's Splintered and Cultivation pretty whole. We will have a great unbalance between Honor's Spren (not Syl like, I mean "Spren borned by Honor's Power) and Cultivation's Sprean. Of course this may not be reflected in the number of Radiant of each Orders because not every Spren will leave Shadesmar... But the whole Cognitive Realm will be full of Honor's Spren Comunities.
  18. Roshar's Metal would be OK for an Allomancer... but Roshar itself is pretty poor of Mineral and their mining tech is pretty primitive. They have the Soulcaster after all, it's probably more cheap to Soulcast rubbish to metal than mine it.
  19. I think the Mistpoint is far to be a significant amount of Shard power... It's an overcome power if you compare it to the average amount Mortal manages... but in the Shardic balance it's hard relevant, I think
  20. May be or not be connected. The problem here is about "why is the Alluminium so Investiture-oddly ?" and if we don't understand this is hard to find its interation in many Magic Systems or situations For example I have a theory, but I haven't enough "cases" of Alluminium's Interaction to test it.
  21. @Maxal: I like your idea about the Truthwatchers and their external truth, but I think it's states in the books that only the Lightweavers hasn't Oaths. But maybe I remember wrong. Anyway If I don't remember wrong BS said the Oaths "natural grow" from the Radiant Spren, therefore probably speaches them is just a "final step" to made the bond progress to its next stage. I always though every Radiant have to made a "concept" his own and then just after He may formalize this concept in his Bond with the rightful Oath (and the wording may be very personal for every Radiant Knight). In both of cases, Truth and Oath, it needs a very extreme event (or a long sequence to event) to made a Radiant ruin his Bond.
  22. I find unlikely he stored his power during his "show times" on screen. Anyway I don't think he used at all unknown metals (for the TFE time)...After all someone have to notice the presence of unknown metal when they inspected the body and his metalminds
  23. And indeed He (and the other Heralds) probably see their actions as horribles
  24. Probably she progressed in the Nahel Bond when she was joung (he had the Patternblade after all)... But then She began to break the bond and Patter runned away in the CR to save himself. When Pattern returns She have to re-forge her bond with the "new truths"
  25. This may became my new FB cover image... Thanks XD
