Ops Sorry I forgot the second part: The Spike need to give something I don't know if Magical Abilities or Human Attributes. We don't even know what the "Standard Inquisitor" has as powers... For example we know Marsh had 11 Spikes as regular Inquisior. This may be 10 Allomantic Powers and Feruchemical Gold... But to be honest I don't think because I see no point in gifting some powers... For example Allomantic Gold (with the risk that an Inquisitor discovers the Compound).
-
If he is not an Idiot, He had already tons of attributes in his Metalminds. He have to compound before the fight not in the fight. He may keep some charged metal in his stomach to burn for some "extra" but I will be really surprised if He rely only on a Battlefield's Compound.
-
Yes on this you have right. This is why I though, creating just a little amount of Nicrosil would be a good idea, after all if you don't compound... just a Nicrosil's ring may be used for the eternity and if you lose it (and Ruin obtain it) it's not a great problem... After all also Ruin already knows all the metals and their effects.
-
Yeah but Rashek may manage Leecher's Inquisitors with his Feruchemy alone (after all with the Compound he Stored away tons of Attributes)...without thinking that with Chromium and Nicrosil no more to hide, also Rashek may use them aganist his Enemies. PS: It's not important but only through the Mistsnapping Atium and Malatium Misting are born... with the "standard" Snapping an Human may develop Cadmium and Bendalloy powers (well quite useless without the ability to mine those metals)
-
Not everybody may be stole through Hemalurgy, only piece of Spirit Webs... Something aren't relate to Spirit Web (for example you can't stole Breath with Hemalurgy because it's pretty physical Investiture). Anyway you have right, with the part of Spirit Web you may stole, and the possibility to use their Spirit Web to Twist the reciver... The Hemalurgy's possibilities are quite infinite. But also the Knowledge of its use is as complex as its flexibility.
-
He may forge a single ring/braclet of Nicrosil while He kept the Well's power. He didn't need to compound Nicrosil, his base power alone would be more than enough to exterminate everyone. But if He manage to store some little part of his Power to use it in the right moment (as to hit the population with Emotional Allomancy or some other "scenic feat"). Also remember that an Leecher may destroy his Allomantic Reserve but... Rashek with his Feruchemy alone would be able to kill a dozen of Inquisitors
-
Like the title says. Does the Emotional Allomancy work on Animals (or other species) ? I lnow it works on Hemalurgic Costruct but they are beings Human-based or Mistwrath-based (and in the end the Mistwraths are Human based).

I had a Theory about but I can't prove it. I think Atium itself who pierce flesh work as a Spike (also if he has not Hemalurgic Charge and can't gift nothing) in the same way Lerasium may burn by everybody. Rashek have to accept Ruin's Voice, because to him his Atiumind were really important and pierce his skin was a important defence for his Life. We know from books that a Spikes may "active" the Hemalurgy's weakness also if It doesn't pierce a Bind point and if the Atium is a Pseudo-Spike from his own, everywhere Rashek puts his Atiumind, He was subject to Ruin's voice and influence. I don't think Rashek actively used Hemalurgy on himself but to protect his life He has to fall under Ruin's influence. PS: Have We some reference of the Mist avoids Rashek ?

To be honest, I find hard to belive it. The Dor changed everything... It's a tons of Investiture in the Cognitive while whatever Magics were on Sel before worked with another source. Without talking about the Dor as merged D&D's Investiture while before probably magic worka with DorD's Investiture. There is another point, on Sel now there is a single Magic System...while so far as we saw with multiple Shards arise multiple Magic Systems. Of course nono of these are proofs...But at least they seem to point elsewhere
-
Someone asked to Mister Sanderson if "everybody" (of the right country) may use Chayshan and Forgery. He aswered somethng like "Forgery ? Nope". In the end like you said, it's possible that Forgery is so complex that studing it you become devoted enough but I remember Mister Sanderson said that out idea about "be devoted and of the right nation" is wrong
-
Are you sure about this? In the HoA the Inquisitors gain more Spikes but I don't remember a count about their "base spikes". Also not every Inquistor have the same number of Spikes... The Mistborn turned to Inquisitor need less Spike to be useful in their job and not every Inquisitor has F-Gold's Spike.
-
Hulk Probably yes, an Asgardian depend of how their biology work yes and not. If they remain "godlike" after death, I imagine you can't be able to Awakened them with Breath (or you need to use tons of breah) for the interferences. If their corpse is just flesh and blood. You may turn him into lifeless but he has no more his god's powers

@maxal Thanks for the explaination, it is quite fascinating ;-)

I understood what you meant Oversleep and I think Allomancy is actually with little cohesion but the Selish's One are quite a Special case. The Sel's Magic System allow every user to Program the Dor, the different regional Sub-Magic Systems are only more specializated in doing it. AonDor may be saw as the same of SoulForgery.... But on the Physical, as SoulForgery allows you to rewrite the Spiritual, AonDor allows you to rewrite the Physical. PS: Sorry for the previous divergence about the Focus in my previous post
-
I think the same, an Herald with the Stormlight's passive abilities will became an fearsome enemy for a Radiant. They may not have a Shardplate (nothing in the book seems sugests they have a Plate) but their Honorblade may break a Plate faster than SprenBlades
-
They can... Melaan used A Medallion not unlike the Band and Paalm showed us that a Kandra with the right Spirit Web may use Allomancy or Feruchemy (well we have also an old WoB but I think book's proof is better)
-
But is Patillian's report the only one ? (Sad Yata)

I am with Jondesu with the Bonds as Roshar's Focus... It's the more likely, but have some weak point in the fabrial (well better then the other possibilities). About Awakening, it's more an Imprint Investiture with some Pseudo Cognitive Entity (like copy something of your own Cognitive in the Breath) and innest in the Subject. With object we have Awakened Object controlled by the PCE, inside a corpse the same thing but the PCE is more affine with an Human body and may use some of his system. Within a living being... the PCE will be integrated in the being, this change the subject Cognitive with PCE's Command. In the end whatever someone give his Breath to another do just this... Giving the PCE to another with the Command of change ownership.

I am stuck for months with a Story I was build because I used some elements from Mistborn and I feel guilty. Probably I am too hard with myself
-
Yes the BoM is capable of autoreplicate itself if and to generate everykind of Medallion if the user is skilled enough (because I imagine it's a quite hard to decide what part of Spiritweb Store). Now the Kandra have something like an Industrial Revolution in their hands (or whatever appendices they want to use)
-
I like your Idea but you putted as a fact something that we don't know. We don't know if the Selish Magics we see now were there before D&D's murdered.

My take on a possible ways to return from the dead
Yata replied to king of nowhere's topic in Mistborn
My bad, I meant "mortal form", I used the word "human" without think to the other physical species (but also the Kandra are Human-based). If you remember Kel can't use his allomancy, also when Leras provided to him a stream of power. He can't use it as Allomancy (and it's quite the same thing of "burning the mist" an universal allomantic fuel) therefore isn't only a problem of "I have not metals here". The bolded part is our main problem I expressed before. At the moment we can't tell if simply re-Connecting him to the physical manage him to be "a strange human instead of a Cognitive Shadow". The Magic Systems are "how the Power of Creation manifested itself in a Mortal Form" and Kel isn't it. Probably re-Connecting is enough (or I don't see other solutions) but it's a delicate problem, because also Hemalurgy probably needs a Mortal and Kel would be unable to recive a Spike (it's like a snake who bite his own tail)... The only answer that comes to my mind is about Hemalurgy works with the Spiritual Aspect alone and a Cognitive Shadow has yet his Spirit Web.. But it's a Weak Argument -
About Ishar and his threat to the "wild surgebinder" may be something not relate to some "unique herald power" but some effect of his Honorblade's Surges (and possible his perk)

Here is the doubt, if a Cognitive Shadow has his Connection to the physical restored. Does it mean He became like an every human in the Cognitive Realm (and may use Magic but in the end he doesn't need it) or He is still unable to use Magic because is yet just a Cognitive Shadow ? Because as regular Cognitive Shadow you can't use magic designed for human (like allomancy and Feruchemy).
