  1. No thunder, the Bindpoints are really small and you have to pierce them to steal or gift parts of Soul. There isn't any "close enough". @Oversleep honestly you may have right. But I think you need to "trasform someone to an Inquisitor" (with an unknown number of Spikes in the right places) to give him the ability to sustain a lot of Spikes without completely break you or your mind or probably your soul. I know that Human Attributes twisted the user more, but I don't think that 4 Human Strenght Spikes may be more twisting than 30 Powers Spikes (for example Marsh). And remember that we don't know if to create an Inquisitor you need only Power Spikes or also some Human Spikes (this may be a good question to mister sanderson). The main part to me is what I said in my previous post, an Inquisitor isn't just a guy with a lot of power spikes he has some peculiar features (long rest time for example) and some "core Spikes" that if removed will revert an Inquisitor to a Human (if I don't remember wrong, they are the eyes Spikes and the Spine Spike) because they work like a circuits (and the result is the Inquisitor's death)... It's like removing a Blessing to a Kandra or the Spikes to a Koloss, they are no more Hemalurgyc Construct.
  2. @CaptainRyan is right. I have just one thing to add. An Inquisitor isn't just a guy with a lot of Spikes... He is an Hemalurgic Construct, probably there isn't a great flexibility if you want to create an Hemalurgyc Construct. For example there are probably a lot of places where you may gift Human Strenght with Hemalurgy. But you need to put the 4 Strenght Spikes in specific Bind-Points to create a Koloss.
  3. @djammmer We know the Stormfather suffered Oathbreaking in the past. His mind was a bit broken, but if I don't rememeber wrong his Bond with Dalinar help him to return more stable. He didn't want to push his Bond with Dalinar further to avoid the possibility of Dalinar who kills him with another Oathbreak but if the progressing Bond will also help the Stormfather's sanity. I think we will see a more reasonable and less hostile Stormfather... Maybe He will not be a drink buddy but at least He will be more on the Humans' side. He tried to avoid the start of the Final Desolation but now is too late, He can't avoid the Mankind's help
  4. I think that now Dalinar would recive tons of Informations from the Stormfather about Honor, Cultivation, Odium, the Heralds, Oathpath and other Cosmere stuff. Maybe he can't aswer to all his question, but it's probably the best source of Information on Roshar (He has also memories of the Adonalsium's Shattering... after all He is one of the people who killed God)
  5. The Highstorms predate the Shattering (WoB) but we don't know if the Hightstorms was Invested at those time (I think yes, but there aren't proofs)
  6. Actually the Listeners said that the Rider of the Storm (Stormfather) was among the Spren who betrayed them giving their power to the humans instead of them. Therefore it's legit to think that the Stormfather (former Rider of the Storm) was there in ancient times before Radiants and all...Possibly the Rider of the Storm was on Roshar before H&C arrived. This will probably mean that he is an Adonalsiumspren (like other mindless across the Shardworld). Honor "recluited him" for his war... When Honor died, his Shadow want to continue his fight aganist Odium and merged with the Rider (maybe because they are compatible... an AdonalsiumSpren and a the mind of a man who predate the Shattering). Of course many of this things are speculations
  7. I think the same of @Ari here. If we based our speculation on their apparence, they are quite in the Reod status (we see another Elantrian off world and he seems a normal guy, don't a royal zombie). It's possible that they are never returned to Sel and never recive the "restoring" effect of Elantris. But the problem with this idea is another... How some Elantrians running from their planet during an emergency may: - Survive the Sel's Cognitive - Create a solid base of power (political, follower, raw material) - Performe magic (they may have a large stock of Connection-Liquid before the Reod to exploit the distance issues and they simply took away with them). We don't see any of them performe any kind of magic, but they did in some way (but here we can't be sure if they use AonDor or they hacked others Magic Systems). EDIT: it just come to my mind that a skilled Elantrian's society will know the risk of some Natural Calamity to their status and could have "Emergency plans" ready to be used to avoid the complete destruction of their society.
  8. I have an idea for some times born by the odd pattern of Hemalurgy's chart The Ars Arcanum's Author made a mistake while the HoA's AA is wrote. The metal's knowledge was uncomplete and the table was filled with logic more than actually proofs. To me, this is the reason of the Hemalurgy miss in the W&W's era AA... Now the Author knows a lot better this Metallic Art and Mister Sanderson doesn't want to reveal yet the new informations (or the corrected ones)
  9. i agree with @CaptainRyan the Basin with all the resources it had progress really slow. I want to add my 2 cent, in the first generation. they have still some full feruchemist (and later ferring) They with Feruchemical zinc are capable of understanding better the concept left by Harmony and without thinking about other Keepers and the Copperminds they beared. We see in HoA how with Coppermind's knowledge Sazed was capable of work as a decent engineer. I think other may do the same, simply like happened in the real world... Without a pushing force, many human didn't care to improve themself. Probably this will change now, they are no more "the only ones" and have competitor for the resources and military power

    Quick Question

I really don't know... of course when you began to be 10000 years old you began to be less precise with people's age. But Khriss can't be more older than some centuries (1000 years old if we want to go extreme)... All the female heralds are thousand of years older than her (well also the male one of course)
  11. I don't want to go Necros... But the post is again active and I want to add something. Recently someone ask to Mister Sanderson what the Kelsier's Eye-Spike does. And he replied with something like "really nothing of special" therefore or Kelsier has a lot of Spikes or the Spike is not linked with his return in the physical world.

    Quick Question

Khriss is much younger than Hoid
  13. Mmm If I don't remember wrong the moon is always visible on dayside and work like a "meridian" to dayside's people... Therefore "the other kind" model have to be little different... The moon have to travel in a plane orthogonal to the one where Taldain and the Sun move.
  14. You can't stole more than a power with a Single Spike. Much more the Spear was made (I think) of Steel and therefore if it was made of an Allomantic right alloy would steal only Steel or Iron Allomancy. But we see Kelsier in the Cognitive after, and we don't see any clue of him be ripped a great chunk of Soul... And Leras himself never mention something like that...Therefore I am really doubtful about the Spear to have become an Hemalurgic Spike of somekind. It's possible that some strong Connection is made between Kelsier and that Spear but I think it's not different from any other strong human-object connection (for example my favorite braclett)... If the Spear may be used by Kel to tie himself to the Physical Realm, I don't know but if the anwer is YES there are probably a lot of objects with similar connection to him to use. About the BoM's form, after his death the Spearhead became a simbol of the Survivor...Probably it's just to celebrate himself (The man who tricked and puched a couple of gods)
  15. If I don't remember wrong, we saw many times Medallion with 2 powers and they are made of just three rings of metals (Nicrosol to gift the two power, Metal1Mind to store/tap power1 and Metal2Mind to store/tap power2.
  16. I don't think. Identity is a Cognitive Attribute, your Soul is completely uneffected by this. And the Connections are what your Soul is made of.
  17. But if you don't kill the Mistborn before he began to burn Atium, also the Breath trick would fail. He will never let you grab/touch him.

    Quick Question

Like Samaldin said Hoid talked about Cultivation's vessel. She was the Tanavast (Honor)'s lover. And for some reason she doesn't like Hoid (but to be honest I don't know if it is a common reaction of the Shard's vessel to hoid)
  20. I think you may simply store different kind of Connection (for example to place, time, person, shard) and then you may tap those kind of Connection to be used. Without some Mental Image when you tap "Conncection to place" you are connected with the place where you are (like a default outcome). After all "Connection" is just a Spiritual Link of raw Investiture. Of course I may be wrong.
  21. The Soul is made of raw Investiture (of Adonalsium or Shards) and when someone dies his Investiture have to be recycled or Preservation and Ruin (for example) are losing more and more of their power. While we know that their "power level" is the same from the old times. Edit: And much more we have Harmony's words about just one of Body/Mind/Soul goes to the Beyond
  22. Well they may have a Star who emits little UV...Or like you said an atmosphere who filtres them very well (but it would be in common with Darkside). But I am a little doubtful about the "little UV" on Dayside. Eric after all spent some year on Darkside and he wasn't burned or something like that... This mean that a Dayside's Human have still an high UV resistence.
  23. If a Cognitive Shadow is on Roshar, would He/She be capable of manifest itself visible on the Physicalm Realm when "something happen" ? (like lesser Spren) and if Yes, what are the kind of events who may trigger a Cognitive Shadow's manifestation?
  24. The Stormfather is something quite unique... It's both a Cognitive Shadow (of a Sliver) and a Splinter, or to be more precise is the fusion between Tanavast's Cognitive Shadow and a powerful Spren. I don't think any other Cognitive Shadow (also a Sliver's one) has so much Investiture to affect the physical or manifest itself directly.
  25. But you can't give your breath at range, and at zero range any weapon it's fine. Just another thing, the Breath can't be stoled with Hemalurgy (it's not part of your Spirit Web). Therefore you may use the Breath as opening move to kill someone but you lost it
