I think He probably fel the danger to tap more Nicrosil. Maybe not consious but while you held those level of power...Your intuite about magic have to be at his peak.
-
Sorry but before to continue with this post I have to ask you. Did you read BoM or simply gather information from Coppermind or something like that ? Because man, you misunderstood some very important parts and if you don't want to recive Spoiler avoid to continue to read this post of mine. - Rashek so far we know don't used Nicrosil Compound, He has no Nicrosil (unknown metal) in his body and it would be impossible to him to produce more Nicrosil because Scadrial tech wasn't developed enough to mine Chromium (it's the reason no one never discover to be a Leecher in the Final Empire). - Rashek was above the level of a Lerasium Mistborn of his own, with the power of the Wll He "re-build" himself at the top of the possible allomantic power. Elend would be below to Rashek in raw power also if Rashek doesn't use this feruchemical side. - This is a BIG SPOILER: The Sovrerign wasn't Rashek, but another guy who exploit Hemalurgy to create Medallions' tech and the BoM. Rashek died when Vin killed him, those other guy went to the Southern after years...and you see him in the last (I think) chapter of the book, when Wax retrive his arrive to the southern from a Coppermind) About the last part, tapping too much invasive Investiture may damage you. It's actually how the Savantism is developed.. The Stream of Preservation power erodes your Spiritweb... This giftes you an improved power but it's actually a spiritual damage who force your body to adapt to it. Your body soon or later would be damaged by it and in an extreme measure it may be destroyed. As example: When Spook became a Mistborn, Sazed also removed the Savantism from him, like He removed every genetic problem, wound, infection and other health problem from the survivors in the vaults.
-
Vin ascended because after reaching the Mistpoint she continue to gain Investiture and power. The whole power of BoM it's nothing but a meaningful fraction of what Vin absorbed. Did you mean the Sovrereign right ? TLR didn't create the BoM and much more He was aganist the spread of godlike power. Anyway I don't understand the last part, whaterver swallow a Lerasium bead would be a weaker allomancer than Rashek and in the end uncapable of live longer than TLR with Atium Compound. About the BoM's power... The Power-level of the creator is meaningless, with Nicrosil Compound you will reach the same upperlimit (maybe a regolar Fullborn needs 2 weeks of compound while TLR needs only 4 days but the outcome is the same). PS: There is a limit of how much Investiture you may tapping before your body will destroied... You will only hope that you are connected to an unlimited source of power that sustain your mind in a astral form.
-
I don't think you need to do this. You store your Innate Investure and your SpiritWeb. You don't actually have to use Steel Allomancy (for example) to store Coinshoot power. You simply store your ability to burn Steel. Like any other Attribute.

Sorry Jondesu but Honor's Splintering is much more recent. When the Heralds left their duties, Honor was still whole. When the KR broke their Oaths, Honor was still whole (He have memory of the Recreance)... we don't know how the Honor's Splintering happened... But it's after the Recreance. But you have right about the Timeline, the Shattering happened 6000 years before WoTK prologue (it's not Canon yet because Brandon want to re-check the timeline)

Lucca is quite a "strange" festival. The Whole town hosts the event and you may find stands, shops and ecc... Spread for a large urban area. Of course they can't stop you for enter in the city but you have to buy a ticket to visit/buy the many stands/shop/ecc....for that day About the ticket's cost at the moment I don't know and I can't search it right now... It's possible that you can't buy it, because if I don't remember wrong, from the last year. there is a limit to the ticket avaliable to avoid a city's stop caused by too visitors of the festival. I will post here, when I find more. EDIT: Little upgrade, I don't find a real reference on the site, but I asked to a friend of mine who go every year to Lucca Festival and He told me the ticket for one day is about 15 euros, more days is something like 10 euros at day.. Don't forget, it's not the official price, it's just like it was in the previous years. He also told me that the limited number of enter-tickets was a marketing idea and actually nobody find himself uncapable of buy the pass for the stand.

There are also a symbols for the Malatium and Harmonium but the people has no knowledge of them (or at least post TLR's Ascension). We can't know if the knowledge of Feruchemical Metals was better in the ancient times
-
You have right but I talked about TLR theoric Full Power. He remade himself to be the most powerful stable allomancer he could and then he developed Savantism as far as it's possible. (it's like Rand Al'Thor in the WoT, He is the Archtype of the perfect Channeler, the others may simply got closer or reach his power, they can't be more powerful than him).

I don't think the TH to be Yolen. Whatever happened in the TH, it's something that forced people to a max exodous and now in the TH Odium would reign or at least they are destroyed. We know there is a character, Frost, who is a Yolish and He isn't a Worldhopper. This mean that Frost was born on Yolen and remained on Yolen. Forst if someone doesn't know... It's the reciver of Hoid's Letter in SA and He doesn't seem to feel any personal problem with Odium-Rayse... Much more He keep a Not Intervention policy. I find very unlikely that Frost was in the TH during their fall and then remain there while a lot of human have to run away. Much more He have to be cabable of meet people (the 17th Shard for example) and this mean that Humans may reach him, whaterver he is. To me this disprove both the TH=Yolen and Braize=Yolen ideas The option TH=Braize is really more likely, both for the distance between the planets and to keep SA selfcontained about the Shardworld involved. This would also explain Why Odium is on Braize. He arrived there to kill H&C, Honor trapped Rayse there and run away with wife (Cultivation) and Childrend (Humans) on Roshar.

The Feruchemy's Origin is an Idea of mine (like I said a couple of posts before) while the fact that Rashek didn't create the Lerasium and he needed to find it to spread Allomancy with his allies is canon (we have a WoB about)
-
Yes I know, I meant that the ancient Terrismen were guided by Terris Prophecies to the Lerasium and following the istruction they burned it and becoming Feruchemist. Then many generation passed and a jerk named Rashek was born among them. The rest of the story is quite history.
-
To be honest I understand you, I thought the same before the WoB said differently. But now for example I think the Lerasium was leaved by Preservation itself, 16 beads and some of them (possible up to 5) were used to gift Feruchemy to the Terrismen.
-
You will able at full power to reach TLR Allomancy's power. I don't know how much you are capable of keep those power level... But as far as I know you will probably reach the TLR's level and not beyond. (TLR made himself as strong as it's possible to be as Allomancer)
-
Rashek have to find the Lerasium after his Ascension (WoB). He didn't create the beads himself Probably in the meanwhile of his Ascension he sensed the Lerasium's location and after return mortal he search and find it.
-
Probably it is a side effect of cutting in the Cognitive. Not two different powers. If you cut something live, it has more investiture and the "target" resist more (the Shardbearers often talk about the resistence they feel cutting living flesh). Instead when you cut an unliving target, the target is so "soft" that the damage is propagate also in the Physical realm. If this is the case a Shardblade with a power of highter magnitude, may propagate the damage also of more Invested target.

I am in the middle of a WoTK second reading and I just notice a big ignorance of mine about Roshar's Ecology. On Roshar only the 10 Polestones may naturally store Stormlight. We know also that many GreatShells (possible all) have a gemheart, a gem of possibly great size (depending by the Greatshell's size). Now began my great doubt: How is the gemheart type decided ? I explain myself better. when you kill a Greatshell and retrive his Gemheart. There are rules about what kind of Polestone this Gemheart would be ? For example: all the greatshell for a specific species give the same Polestone as Gemheart or it's a complete random factor. In the books is often stated that the Alethi and the Listeners hunt Charsmfields to retrive their gemheart to soulcast food, this mean that from the Chasmfields they may retrive Emerald but I think it's never stated that all the Chasmfiends's Gemheart are Emeralds.

I think (but can't be sure) that Innate Investiture may become Kinetic Investiture. We know for a WoB that Nightblood fed of Kinetic Investiture, but we saw it be feeded by Breath and Life spark

I agree with this, in the end I always theorized that Leras designed with precision the Metallic Arts that would spawn from the Interaction between them and the newborn Scadrial. Yes but this isn't an answer about Feruchemy's Origin... It just the theoretical reason for its esistence. It's like to exaplain the Allomancy's Origin with just "well there is Preservation on the Planet". We know the Feruchemy at beginning came from Preservation (via WoB) but we don't know how actually happen. Ok this is really wrong. Godmetals didn't naturally condensate near Shardpool. They probably don't naturally condensate at all, In the books we saw how Atium began to exist just for a Shard's golpe.....Preservation cutted a piece of Ruin, sealed it in a "vault" and created an Indipendent Investiture-Cycle with the Pits. It was a deliberate design. In the same way, the Lerasium doesn't spawn near the Well. Rashek to obtain the Lerasium's beads have to go somewhere (possible multiple places) to retrive them and take the beads to the Well (We have a quite recent WoB about this). Maybe He discovered the Lerasium's location while He held the Power of the Well, but in the end the Lerasium was somewhere else. Probably Preservation generated X Beads of Lerasium (knowing him, probably 16) and putted them in strategic places for his own Agenda. PS: It to notice that if Preservation made 16 Beads of Lerasium, only 11 of them are actually be used. There is the possibility for other Lerasium on Scadrial (of course if the Terrismen didn't gain the Feruchemy burning Lerasium)

Two confusions about the Elantris books
Yata replied to Amaror's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
With Cognitive Shadow, Splinters or other oddly remains... It's possible that Skai is still influence Sel directly (like Aona after all) -
I have the same problem... I will try to recover some of my favorites in physical edition for Lucca.
-
No and instead in a WoB He didn't deny the possibility that Austre itself is a Returned. For your second question, there is no official confirm but on the forum many think that Endowment reacted to some Cosmere-Event and began to create Returned for his/her agenda
-
At least a viable bindpoint for Steel is in the Heart (as Zane showed us) much more.... Some Inquisitors have double Spikes for the same metal (to stack power) and if only the eyes are bindpoint for Steel-Iron they can't do this.

theory [White Sand] Investiture: Focus, Manifestations, and Catalysts
Yata replied to Ari's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Just a little clarification. The WoB suggests it's possible substitute (with some hack more or less complex) Breath for Mist (who they may already replace metal for skilled Allomancer)... It may seems a useless clarification but it's better to be clear- 20 replies

Hey Sharders, Brandon will be at the Lucca Comics and Game Festival in Italy. I don't know how many Italian fans (or European) are here but I think it's better to inform everyone. I can't imagine what will happen if someone miss the chance to meet Brandon when He comes near our Continent.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
Yata replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
Sorry I made myself unclear. I want to say that be a lot Invested may give you some passive benefit of Investiture (for example Investiture interference) but don't mean that those Investiture is actively used to performe the same feats. Just a couple of stupid examples: if I use a rock in my hand to hit someone instead to punch it. The rock is less Invested of my hand but hurt more, another less idiot, example... If a Returned fights a pewterarm in a close hand to hand combat, the pewterarm would be probably more powerful than the Returned, but the returned is a lot more Invested. The Investiture is the core block of the cosmere, like matter-energy is our own core blook. But be a more dense object didn't mean that you are more "powerful" than another. The investiture needs to be directed to perfome some effect, it's the same difference between raw material and a tool. Instead if you are confused by my idea of Nightblood power, you may find it in this topic in a my early post. But in we words: Nightblood is an incomplete/flawed Splinter (maybe because Vasher's project isn't too good) and He need more Investiture than the amount he has to express his full power (Nightblood can't keep his full Mind and his full Power at the same time) and Nightblood drain the Investiture of someone who bond with it....But as Endowment's creature take with force something is aganist Endowment's Intent and he can't keep it... therefore Nightblood leaks away those Investiture corrupted because it's Endowment's Investiture taken with force (of for the Twisted Nightblood), and in the end He doesn't gain new Investiture." I am waiting to see, how Nightblood works with another kind of Investiture.
