    Had a whole thingy typed up positing that if NB could fully "infect"(?) someone and completely turn their veins and skin black,since we haven't yet seen him do this IIRC, then maybe he might be able to absorb some information from the victim. If he could refrain from impaling them before the infection is complete. That's a BIG if. It is Nightblood afterall.

    All of them are really awesome. But the Dalinars really stood out to me. Very good job. Keep posting more and more and more and more and more.

    All that being said, I do wonder how she will react to Kal. If she's not gay that is. I thought she might be in Ways, but now I kinda just lean toward the theory that she's just...not asexual, but it seems, for some reason, that her sex drive is just less than normal. But the idea that she basically can only wed very highborn men, who aren't educated in the sciences and aren't scholarly at all, unless in the Ardentia, is one I've never thought about before. It does make a lot of sense. And really seems pretty obvious now that I have.

    For safety from storms, Shinovar. For fun, Reshi Isles. Would have a summer home in Rall Elorim. City of Shadows seems like a pretty interesting place to visit.

    Yeah that last bit was basically what I was trying to say lol. My only argument really was that light eyes aren't descendants of Radiants. Well, not necessarily. The lighteye just said" Oh, well they have light eyes, and so do we. But those others don't. So we obviously are better than them, hence more fit to rule." Plus, on the descendants of Radiants bit. Pretty sure if Kal met a nice darkeye radiant woman, they get hot and heavy, and have a bebeh, that bebeh would be a darkeyes most likely.

    But doesn't it get slowed basically to nothing due to the mountains in Shinovar? And they mention the Origin of Storms off in the East. If it is one storm it must be refueled at the Origin, or else another storm forms, which would mean it's not one continuous storm. I really want an interlude character to get to the Origin, maybe give us a peek, since we probably won't be getting anything about it til the second half of the series.

    I don't think it has anything to do with them being descendants of the Radiants. Pretty sure they just took up the whole lighteye darkeye caste system because the Heralds and Radiants(not so much Radiants since they see them as traitors) had lighteyes, and they were obviously the most powerful people around. So they simply went with lighteye equals closer to their gods, while darkeyes were lower in the system. At least that's what I got from the explanations in the books.

    See my guess is Syl will freeze in whatever form Kaladin summons her. Say he summoned her as a shield, which he has done before, and then broke his oaths, she would freeze as a shield.

    I've wondered about #2 as well. I'm sure he had something prepared. Most likely scenario I think is the second highest ranking person takes the title of Highprince. But I wouldn't discount his widow. She's crafty. Or maybe there will be a big ol fight in the Sadeas camp/princedom, and the victor becomes Highprince. That actually sounds more true to the Alethi way. I don't think #1 is likely, but I guess it could happen.

    I agree. But my thinking was coming more from the place of something happened to her original mask during her " hop" to Roshar. She had to replace it as fast as possible, and what is everywhere on Roshar? Far more plentiful than trees thanks to highstorms? Carapace. And I'm guessing like you said, her mask is very important to her, and she would never just remove it. So she wouldn't just remove it again just to put one made of wood on. That's if her hopping escapades were turbulent that is.

    I don't see how anyone could see something attacking them as being part of them, even if it is his own cells doing the attacking. I know I don't see my hernias as being part of my identity, and those ain't even killing me.

    My idea on it is that Saz HAD TO change the northerners so they would even be able to survive on Scad for a few weeks, because in their condition at the end of HOA they would have certainly died off very very quickly. Much quicker than the non genetically altered Southerners. The southerners had already been screwed with enough, being forced to adapt to a world over a thousands years of constant heat, and rising temps thanks to the ash mounts (in the north, dont think there were any in the south, but not sure of it) trapping heat. My guess is that he sent Kel, because he didn't want to alter them at all, physically, to have to fit into this new world. Basically give a man a fish as opposed to teach a man to fish kind of deal.

    Yea I always assumed, from scenes with Marsh in TFE, that seekers had an AOE type deal going on. Get outside that bubble, you're good. But maybe it's more like a lesser effect the farther you get from the allomancer. I don't think it works like that, but has anyone in world put 1000 miles between a very strong seeker and an allomancer burning metals with no life between the two points to see if its possible? Or maybe Brandonalsium has said "No no, doesn't work like that!" at some point in the past.

    Was Walin a Mistborn? I remember him training Kelsier, but can't remember if he was full, or just a Misting.

    Pretty sure he even mentions a slime blob of some sort in that monologue of his. And what is a Kandra if not a thinking ball of slime. And Hoid brings it full circle for this thread.

    Well, strategically, it would make more sense for Odium to hit Honor when Honor thinks he still has 90% of the objective left to complete, therefore making him less watchful than he would be further down the road. Other than that I agree with you.
