  1. I was thinking something simular, but I wonder if it goes beyond that. I was going to wonder if wanting something really bad, or disliking something really bad might influence becoming an epic, but then I figured david would have become one:p Stil mitosis power does seem to fit with him being able to be the whole band. Prof´s power if suspiciously well aimed at proteciting, for example a school being razed by another epic, and indeed clearing away rubble to get people out. Propably nothing. Still, there are a few coincidences there. But propably not enough info.
  2. I am trying to not remember it, as I have a paper I must deliver whensday, and a short presentation tuesday. Both requiring some effort;). getting a new book does not help those;)
  3. Good thing(?) that only humans are affected....I wonder what I´d do if my dog started flying and throwin yellow energy at pidgeons instead of running at em. Be a tad messy it would.
  4. I´v always thought that "base aeon strength" was wht Raoden had before Elatris was fixed(but after he added the chasm line to his aeon spells). elantrians post-fixing (or pre-chasm) I thought to be an irregular boost, kinda;)(if you can call the thing thats been standard for most of the time irregular;)). Thus, I figure some sort of an amulet or tablet with the same principle as Elantris might mean they can still keep part of the boost when traveling. And the weaker powerlevel likely dont get below what Raoden had in taht period. So they would have some power even on other planets, wich could be increased by carrying a miniature elantris around(or maybe even tattoed to themselves?)
  5. You mean you _don´t_ bring the book to the bathroom? I used to read faster then I do now, used to read several books a week, now I only read maybe one or two a month, and my reading speed have gone down noticeable too as a result. Doubtful if I make 100 pages /hour now, but would have been easy back then. The more you read the faster it goes;) As for americans, I dont care so much about that dot thing, but dates..... the amount of times Iv gotten dates wrong cause you americans can´t write it right... 22/10/13 today , day month year, small to large. Large to small can be somewhat logical too, but not middle small large.
  6. Aye, clothing is something else, its not gonna be affected by storing anything (re: Sazed pointing out that he made himself light enough that his metalminds was the heaviest thing on him when falling down into the inquisitor base, light enough that air resistance kept him gliding down like... well, like a leaf on the wind;)) As for not being able to storing all shardlet, I think your thinking about stuff like health, where you´d die if you store to much and so on.
  7. What are you basing stating that as fact on? I know thats been said before, but always before when I´v seen that view its been an unconfirmed theory some believes in, so wondering if something new have come up regarding it.
  8. When Vin held the power, she mentions that while she is not omnipotent, and dont know everything, she can see the history of the power she held. So Sazed would know what TLR did when he held preservation via the well of ascension, and could thus undo it. He might not know that he knows it thou, it seemed on Vin as she needed to think of it before the knowledge came forward.
  9. Could propably lash him. Bad news comes when TLR got a kickass anchor from your lashings and he does what he did to Vin, Push you away by pushing on the iron in your blood. Vin was dying from that push despite pewter, stormlight in Szeth there may be somewhat equal to pewter? Not to mention even if you used a few hundred lashings, TLR could pull equal strength and just stand on the wall :/ TLR is just a cheater with his compounding;).
  10. Do we have a date for when that anthology will come out?
  11. You know, Szeth wasent necciserily sent to kill two primes. He may well have been sent to kill the prime and a second high ranking functiononary. Just as he was sent to kill the king of Jah Keved and 6 highprinces. And its mentioned that Szeth likes to study his targets. A week seem resonable. People tend top exagerate. A week can become within a few days . Or it can even be an error to be caugh in last edit;/ The second high functionary just might have been elected prime after the first. Perhaps it was farily obvious who would be elected and Taravangian went by that. Or he was simply a unifying force. It seems to me King T wishes to do the same as.. well, Pedron Nial in tWoT. Remove all strong rulers, promote chaos, so he himself can move in in a misguided belief that only he can be trusted to rule.
  12. I wonder if proof of voidbringers existance comes to light as Szeth attacks Dalinar, would he seize to be truthless and be his own master again? Seeing how his "honor" was right and his punishment wrong then, according to that quote? Then perhaps, swearing to follow Dalinar in an attempt to make right the wrongs he have commited? Longshot mayb, but still;)
  13. Im not so certain that TLR couldent push the blade thou. You cannot normally push invested materials true, but in the same way you cannot normally push metals in the body of ppl. But enough power behind it, and you can get past that. As TLR does to the iron in Vins blood(I assume thats what he pushes at the end of book 1), and Vin once she´s powered by the mist. Now, its true that there is a shitload of investiture in that sword, but at the same time, TLR could gather a shitload too. I don´t really think we could say for sure if he could push it or not. Either way, he could push Szeth same he did with Vin. TLR is damnation powerful. Hard to beat once he knows your dangerous.
  14. "does picking up a shardblade have the same effect on your soul as recieving a hemalurgic spike?"
  15. There was a theory that everyone could burn Atium aswell. I kinda think this is what Brandon was aiming at. Its not like alot of mistings are gonna test, seeing how expensive Atium is. And regarding the above quote, both Lerasium and Atium are essence of a shard, Preservation and Ruin respectively, wich was where the "everyone can burn Atium" originated from, I think.
  16. My wiew was the same as some here, shardblade = tied to a specifik KR, created by him and his spren most likely, and they were never meant to be held by anyone else than the creator. The great wrong may well have been that they didnt just leave, the made a show of it and forcibly dropped ther blades, a part of their soul so to speak, almost a volontary hemalurgic process. So those owning a shardblade, its an effect on their soul as if they were spiked by hemalurgy, a piece of soul put above their own soul. So the process of gaining a shardblade is very close to hemalurgy in my mind.
  17. I´v always been inclined to believe the heralds actually followed all the way from Yolen to begin with. Or at the very least, followed from "tranquelin halls"(wich I am uncertain on if I think is Yolen or another planet in Roshar´s system(or if Yolen _is_ another planet in Roshar´s system;) but thats prolly unlikely. So they propably know a fair bunch. And at the very least, they knew that the "almighty" was rivaled by his enemy, the one who supported those driving them from the tranquelin halls (ooc - how is tranq halls spelled again?
  18. I´m saying no for: 7, 8 And yes for: 9, 20 I would have said yes for 17, except im not certain its in the same system so passing on it For the rest I´m not feeling certain
  19. If Hoid used it as a spike, he would have Sazed in his head. Now, what would be the range one wonders? Only on Scadrial or other planets too..
  20. People who begin to see "miracles" in person that their own religious leader can only describe from a book, and already believe such can only come from a god, well. I do not think it would be difficult. Begin by convincing the religious leaders. Some "miracles" together with emotional allomancy aura. Short of very obvious miracles from a different source, the majority would switch. Having the pope acknowledge you infront of that place in the vatican, and then moving out with TLR´s aura(but not a depressing one, a joyful one), and youll have a few thousand extremely fanatic followers. Do the same in Mecka and so on. In our world, completely lacking in any such, it would be extremely convincing among those who very much want to believe, and once you got those, you got a large foothold. Then you can let time prove your immortality to convince the rest;)
  21. beheading would kill, but minigun - propably not.It would be hard to setup. explosions, definately not with atium. Steel, a few seconds is enough to get several hundred meters atleast. combine it with Zinc and your dodging those minigun bullets as they are coming. A nuke? Just get a few hundred meters away with steel and boost physical and behind something big, and it wont be enough to tear you apart fully, and you can heal the radiation. But frankly, why do it that way. Easiest would be to appear as sent by god. Messiah to the jews, the second coming to the christians, the next prophet to the muslims. Anyone think it would be difficult to convince religious fanatics that your sent by god if you let them shot you a few time and you heal, or if you levitate when you speak? While using emotional allomancy? Religion is the easiest way. TLR had that right...
  22. Maybe he could only see one danger at a time, the most pressing one? "About to be hit by car" - not able to feel "about to be shot" until he´s safe from the car?
  23. Wonder if it would be different if it was the mistborns owns shardblade.
