Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry ppl, I´m weak. but.. I TOLD YOU SO! Kill beetle! nuff said (thou I was wrong about clancy being spiked instead of Wilson, thou I was admittedly never sure there.) And we ghosts have had fun sitting commenting on whats been done here, knowing who was what(after death, Meta gave us access to the spreadsheet:)) Thanks for the great fun anyway all but meta especially, love to join a second game:).- 462 replies

The problem with Taravangian is that he takes for granted that he is the best. What if one of those he kills are truly the one who could save the world? And he is actually breaking things up, making the nations weaker now with his murders. Thats opposit of what he wants. Remember the surebinder who Nohadon talked of? the one who made civil war before the desolation? Perhaps he was like Taravangian. Trying to destroy others so he himself could lead, thinking this would be better. Dalinar on the other hand, well, war isnt always unhonorable. Or even evil. So I dont really see how the journey might simply be to conduct the war in an honorable way. And its not a requirement to be stupid. Its quite ok to use the steps of a ladder when your going up, when its to high to jump straight up. As long as he is moving in the right direction, and he is by unifying them.

I´m thinking there is a way of making a "portable" elantris to bring along, another boosting Aeon like the city, but smaller. To give you the ability to use them far from elantris. Either that, or to "store" aeonic power in an Aeon battery of some sort;). Or for a person in elantris to channel power to an engine far away, by way of somehow attuning himself before they leave.

Wild speculation: Kaladin will have a "shardspear"
dyring replied to flowers's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well, giving him something looking slightly like an ashandarei would be a nice little bow to a certain favorite author of Brandons too. And it would really need to have a cutting edge for it to be efficent as a shard, to use its strength. A pure shardspear as we think of spears would not use the shards abilities very well I´d say. -

Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
As the silence is drawn out over a long time, the wind begins to pick up and figures form in the shadows. The winds grow chiller and whispers begin to be heard through the night. "Move... talk... act for our entertainment mortals, the dead grow bored. Enjoy your last few days as you await damnation. The koloss are coming, bringing our revenge to you our allies turned murderers...death.... so pretty... they are coming and we will watch"- 462 replies

Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Thats the point I dont get, and why I´m suspicious of several individuals. I really cannot understand how Beetle could be seen as more trustworthy then Edgar. Edgar came forward without any real pressure. He didnt need to. That spoke in his favour. Beetle coming forward afterwards , once he started racking up votes (yes, only 3, but once the bandwagon get rolling....) It was exaktely what the spiked would do, to get rid of a seeker easily. Take a spiked already in danger so as to not throw suspicion on a new one, have him claim to be a seeker to making it a 50/50 run on who to vote on(I simply refuse to believe that there were two village seekers), and either take a chance, or have some other spiked confirm his "seekings" to give him more redibility. And in the discussion afterwards have a few people carefully support him. If it fails, no big deal, he was under threat already. And you havent risked the rest of your spiked ones much. But if it succedes you get rid of a village seeker. Perfect. But noone else except Quinn agreed with me, and look what happened, the spiked took him immidiately. Was prolly a choice between me and quinn, but guess they realized more would trust Quinn then me who already had gone for Beetle before. Also, the spiked have another advantage here among us. Just get 3-4 votes, basically if need be, themselves plus one or two, and the rest fall in line to give a stable majority:p Now you lot get out, I am going to spend some time with some friends from my cellar, wich I have saved for a special occasion. Seems its about time to get on with it. " The innkeeper then opens up a few different bottles of an unusally fine vintage and glares at any (among those having voted for him) that dont get out quickly enough- 462 replies

Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Dyring votes for Aether. It IS interesting how Aether do manages to always say he does not suspect the one he votes for, isnt it? If beetle for some reason is so well liked, I´d join a mass vote for Aether if thats possible. Tbh, since there is 0% chance of getting beetle now, and I´m not sure if I´m able to be online later, I´ll switch to Aether now, just incase there is agreement on that(thou I doubt enough would switch)- 462 replies

"Fools, fools all, continue to murder innocents. You keep not listening to me, and the spiked wins. But to die now, or to die when the spiked open the gates to the city for the koloss, what does it matter?" Beetle, Wilson, and porridge or possibly Aether who sem more and more fishy again, after I almost trusted him for awhile. Those are your main suspects. Go through with this and I will haunt you all."- 462 replies

Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I doubt darnam will come back, and he is almost certainly not spiked. He was quite convinced that beetle was spiked and edgar innocent, and seemed to take it a tad more serious then he should when votes where starting to rack up on Edgar. Absolutely no reason for him to react that way if he was spiked, if he was spiked that would be good. So situation is actually one worse then one would think, and Darnam is unlikely to come back and vote. Thus there is one villager (wether regular or with a role) that won´t vote, so easier for the spiked. Heh, the fun would be if beetle and I was both unspiked. In that scenario, it would be Wilson, and propably Kukri and porridge that was the spiked ones. Biggest chance is still that Beetle is spiked, and tbh, killing him, even had he been innocent, would give us some "safe" villagers. I might agree to change to Wilson, if someone gets enough votes together thou. But still prefer Beetle.- 462 replies

If beetle was already dead I would propably go for Wilson, on the rather weak proof that he voted for both the innocents, and I simply have gotten the feeling hes up to no good. But as I said, thats weak. Early on I had flashing lights on Aether, I dont suspect him as strongly anymore, cant really say why.- 462 replies

Long Game 1: In the Wake of the Koloss
dyring replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Simply put, while I´m leaning heavily on a few others being spiked, Beetle is the one I know. So thats where my vote goes. Its quite telling that besides me, it was Quinn who the most wanted Beetle dead, and he was killed by the spiked, removing one vote. And it might very well be beetle who is the mistborn spiked, that is something we do not know. They didnt expose him out of choice, he was already getting alot of votes when he stepped out claiming to be seeker. And lastly. First day, mat was the first target, people got talked around into going for gravy. He was innocent. second day, Beetle was going to die, but people got talked around to going for Edgar. He was innocent. Now, the spiked are quite obvious very good in getting a bunch of people to switch to vote for someone innocent. Sure you want to do that again? And porridge. Given how much I want beetle dead, had I been spiked, dont you think he would have died tonight? Isnt it odd that the spiked didnt touch the claimed seeker? Consider that of the innocents who´s died, I never voted for them. *edit I might have agreed with you Kukri, if we had had another target as likely as beetle to be spiked. We dont. its also suspicious that he picked so low prio targets. Gamble, jason, who not one of the more outspoken early targets?- 462 replies

Yup. The difference wilson, is that I was right on both Gravy and edgar. While you continue to protect the proven spiked, Beetle. And I noticed I forgot porridge. He was in among the scratched over where I grabbed my list. He goes in among clancy aether and kukri, among the "propably not spiked. But one of the possible coincshot/soother/rioter. Guess one of soother/rioter might be spiked too.- 462 replies

(I was actually fishing for being attacked this round, was why I talked during the night. But I was trying to draw the real spiked attack to make them not kill anyone this round, not the coinshot ) The innkeeper spikes something to his wall. "you all are stupid, so if they kill me, I need to post for you what to do. And maybe atleast Aether will listen, if its in the form of a list." Mail - Medium suspicion of spiked. (*edit if he does ot object to Beetles statement either spiked or regular) Aether - he or clancy is likely soother, the other coinshot?. Low chance of spiked Clancy - He or aether is likely soother, the other coinshot?. Low chance of spiked. Gambles - medium suspicion of spiked. If not spiked then regular villager. Kukri - Possibly spiked, more likely fooled rioter(unless rioter is a spiked) Beetle - Claimed seeker, known to be spiked. Dyring - thug (innocent, strong, clever, and fantastic in every way) Wilson - _Very_ likely spiked (voted for both innocents, and defending a known spiked) Darnam - Likely regular, possibly soother or Rioter. Mat - _very_ likely spiked (voting for both innocents, and defending a known spiked and being saved from votedeath by spiked.) He then glares all around "Now, here is the truth. Learn from it, and lets kill beetle!"- 462 replies

ok. Still, the coinshot might aswell be spiked since he´s helping them even if its unwittingly, cause hes tried two kills so far, the lurcher(likely, unless the mistborn drew that on that night) and me. And he picked me when there was a known spiked alive(beetle) And this night we know it wasent the mistborn, since the mistborn had tin this night. *edit Still, perhaps the coinshot can still learn. But its doubtful if he´s still listening to the spiked :/- 462 replies

Well, your missing that I and quinn have been the ones arguing most strongly(maybe except for Darnam) for killing beetle, and its us two who gets targeted... Bit wierd yes? I´m also one of the very few who´s never been fooled into voting for killing an innocent.- 462 replies

Dyring votes for Beetle the urchin (Big suprise? Limping about the bar, dyring continues his choosen path "Quinn is dead, after me, he was the strongest in arguing for Beetles death. And someone tried to kill me for what I´v been saying. Do you believe me know, or do you all want to help the urchin and his friends kill more people? Seeking, phew. Either mail is spiked, or it was a guess if it was correct. Not that it matters, would not be a hard guess. They know who most of us metalborn are by now." Dyring staggers as he picks up the empty glasses, moves to the bar and takes another drink, filled with flakes of metals. "Not that it matters. I´m wounded, flaring my pewter´s all thats keeping me up and alive. I´tll be some time before I can fight anything." *edit What sucks the most is that our coinshot is propably spiked(either that or really really badly fooled, but seems unlikely.)- 462 replies

Constantly carrying his club now, the innkeeper sneers towards beetle. " - I´m not going to argue with you foul and deserving of death urchin. There is no point arguing with someone who´s a traitor who seeks all of our deaths and will do anything to stay alive for another day despite deserving death. You´r lies already succeded in costing us our best chance at staying alive. And if not for you having fooled enough around here, I´d kill you right now with my club." Speaking towards the whole gathering of those still awake "Beetle is a spiked, and not a seeker. Simple as that. him seeking someone, well, it means he either guesses, or chooses someone who´s spiked, or someone he already knows what they are somehow. Its that simple. You already cost us our best chance at surviving by killing poor edgar instead of listening to me. You intend to do the same agian? Vote to kill the Urchin tomorrow, it is our only chance, small as it is. Trying to get a deal seeking someone for confirmation is only his way to try and stay alive another day."- 462 replies

Mail is also a suspected individual thou, if ot among the highest. So it woul not clear beetle. Tbh. Beetle IS spiked. There really isnt any doubt at this point. Soother was tricked too then. Pity. Would have needed a more clearsighted soother.- 462 replies

Its nightphace now so we´re waiting. But Beetle is spiked. I was 99% sure before, its 99.99% now. As I said before voting while trying to argue that people should vote beetle, Edgar had nothing to gain by claiming to be seeker when he did, while Beetle hade voices racking up on him at the time. The spiked with beetle foremost pulled a stunt hoping to both save one of their own, and take out the village seeker at the same time. They succeded since to many didnt think and instead went with some sort of gut feeling, supported by spiked arguments.- 462 replies

I´d like to point out the possibility that Aondor is likely as powerful as it is since the shards are wrecked and out in the world, meaning all the power is avaliable. And I figure time is a tradeoff. And Raoden is to elantrians what Vin are to mistborn. And try to hit an atium mistborn with Aon Daa;).

Dyring is sitting musing in his bar, as the evening progresses, muttering, barely stopping to glare and give those who wants drinks what they want before beginning to mumble agian. Not really seeming to pay any attention to the inn getting lesser and lesser populated. "Their all evil. Or fools. Or evil fools. Or just... mean. Or evil, sneaky, mean, murdering sheetsoiling little cretins who should have been slain years ago. One of it. "Who then. Who´s the worst. that little one. Should be chrushed. Good for him I´m a gentle soul, not out killing on me own. I could, I bet if I.. " The innkeeper glances at his club, the one he uses to divide troublemakers and towards the door "no. Better not. let others fight. Nothing good comes from it. I know. Just problems. Tend the inn. Let others fight. Even if they are fools. I sell drinks. Still. Who more than the cretin. Gamble? Kukri? Maybe Mat. No. Well, maybe. But not most likely. Mail? yeah. He seems likely. The urchin. Mail. Kukri, and gamble? He would say good odds for those four. But who can play on the odds for something like that? Perhaps that means he is spiked. But the others. Forgot Wilson and Aether. Wilson more likely. But maybe aether. Beetle dies. Wait. What if. " Dyring glances around at the thinning crowd. Then continues mumbling to himself. "I know. I am clearly cleverest. What if they know I´m the smartest? easy to see? Perhaps.. coming after me? No. Who would serve the drinks. Even koloss drink. don´t they? Really, they do right?"- 462 replies

In my opinion, it was fairly obvious that edgar was a scapegoat for the spiked to save one of tiers, namely beetle, as I said. To many got fooled to easily. No voting now thou. night phase. Wait for spiked to kill another regular, so they get closer to a win- 462 replies
