Is anyone else at least somewhat fascinated with the idea that Trump could be the US' next president? I know I certainly am. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fond of the idea, I would equate the fascination with people slowing down while driving to look at a bad car accident... But the fascination is there none the less.

I suspect that if Kaladin viewed himself as having the scars when he died then he would return with the scars. Similar to why the Stormlight hasn't healed them, but theoretically would if Kaladin didn't view the scars as a part of him.

Does my logic on why compounding probably wouldn't make you a Savant make any sense? I just reread it about 5 times and now I can't decide if it was a clear thought or just an incoherent ball of nonsense.

I don't think you can become a Feruchemical Savant, but he may well have been a Gold Allomantic Savant. With that said, I'm not sure how compounding would effect become a Savant. If Chaos' theory is correct and I would guess that it is indeed, then the prolonged effects of the investiture on your body are what change your Spirit Web and make you a Savant. While Miles was burning gold a lot, he was then compounding the investiture into his Metalmind. I suspect that this would stop the changes to his Spirit Web.

A couple of things to narrow it down. Wayne was 16 when Wax gave him his 2nd chance. Wax was in the Roughs for 20 years, so when Wax left the roughs Wayne was 36 at the absolute oldest. Do we know how long Wax had been in the Roughs before saving/recruiting Wayne?
