  1. I remember now...from the Religion topic. My mind automatically went back to primary school lesson on Eqypt x) and I didn't have my GN handy for the exact scene
  2. Because cats were and still are the supreme overrulers of the universe, Bastet told Neil Gaiman so! We've just duped ourselve into believing otherwise And...I think i'm coming on with a slight headcold (there's a cold/fluey like bug at work. My head feels a little groggy, my nose is running and I can feel the glands in my neck are bit swollen (or i could just be run down from a combination of night shifts and late nights/early wake ups on my rest week) Swimming probably doesn't help either
  3. I think i may have to purchase a few......
  4. This. Even better; sticky note his car. Take all the hole punch leavings from each Hole-Puncher and put them in his A/C or all over his desk. Mess with his desktop, send emails from his computer if he doesn't lock it.
  5. WoB number 6 http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kw=nazh :B Congrats!
  6. So....I've nearly finished the first episode..... This could get messy. You're all mean for inciting my curiousity
  7. Supreme Immortal Librarian/Archivist Alchemist charged with collecting and recording knowledge and this planet's (and Universe's) history from start to finish, both accurately and in-depth, free from any internal and external bias (and mastering biogenetic engineering and modification so I can finally create Dragons!) ^^ ....You said Dream Job, you never said it had to be real! Half in reality, I'm pretty laid back so I'd settle for being a Surfer....or if was to be business/corporation-esque, I'd lead a team of concierge/PA hybrid types
  8. Citation? Don't ever remember reading that part, only that the magic works differently now than before their splintering.
  9. Is Hoid comparable to a Sliver?
  10. Nazh is from Threnody. Although, it could be possible that both Demoux and Aslydin went there for some reason. It could be possible but I can't remember when Shadows for Silence takes place Cosmere wise (or if Nazh is present) but it is highly likely {75% sure on this} he's a member of the 17th Shard. I have a rough idea of when Mistborn takes place in regards to SA but those are my own calculations. It might be he has access to another magic system
  11. Defining any trait/skill/ability etc. as masculine or feminine is a bit of a wasted venture as you can practically justify anything as one or the other or even both, depending on a person's perspective. Even defining the terms masculine and feminine is simply put, pointless as they are abstract concepts (like 99% of things in human society) and assigning traits through Gender Dimorphism is equally fruitless, as you can find varying results in all parts of the animal kingdom, and evolution of genetics doesn't exactly support consistency in any one type). In regards to gender, I prefer to embody the light Yin-Yang/Duality approach present in Mistborn and a very little of the The One Power philosophy in WoT in this situation. As far as labelling myself goes in any regard to my being, I'm not a big fan despite the fact of how useful it may be as I find it really limiting and constraining due to finding any term either devoid of meaning or it doesn't fit me properly. Granted, i'll do it should it be convenient or the situation requires to do so but otherwise I see no reason to.
  12. My WoB sense is tingling but I'm at a loss for where the WoB is located on theoryland. It was something about looking upon two splintered Shards from afar, one black and one white, and how from a distance they would look grey but I can't remember what it was tagged under. Anyone else know the one i'm thinking of? Basically my view is that it could be seen as either, but until we know more of how the Dor works pre- and post splintering, i'm leaning towards the patchwork. It could explain why some of the magics only work in some areas whilst others do not
  13. Shoulda gone with Fish Fingers and custard instead. The look alone would have been worth x)
  14. Nalan - The new posterboy for Kool-Aid!
  15. Steel Librarians? Alcatraz and Reckoners connection confirmed
  16. Story of my life. I just tune anyone and everyone out whilst immersed in something.
  17. "YOU DARE MOCK THE MIGHTY BANJULHU? PREPARE TO BE SMOTEN, INFIDEL!"
  18. Well, I'm excited for my sister's baby-shower this sunday as I get to give my Build-A-Bear gifts to her and my other sister (who also recently had a child) Werewolf Jedi ftw?
  19. Ta muchly. Hmm, it links in to a WoB I've just read but couldn't be sure due to timing and other explanations
  20. I don't have my book handy and i can't recall off the top of my head, but in what book did Vin not meet Hoid due to a feeling, was it WoA or HoA?
  21. She found through Kwaan's incribed metal plate IIRC. Kwaan was part of of the Worldbringers I believe, but we aren't exactly sure of HOW Cosmere aware they are. Also, bear in mind Rashek/TLR had to make changes to the population after moving the planet to account for the altered conditions (predominantly seen in the skaa) so pre-FE, Terrisfolk probably weren't that much different from the rest of the world. We also don't know if when RuPres created humans, if they also created Scadrial as well so if the Terris folk made a journey of some sort remains to be seen.
  22. Well given what Hoid says about Ryshadium at the end of WoR, it could be possible (He says something about gifted they are with music). It's a question i want to ask Brandon
  23. Listening to covers of Cat Steven's Father and Son as it's soon Samhain/Halloween and with all the events in my life at the moment it is making rather reflective/introspective/reminiscent. Planning on listening to the Mountains of Mourne cover by Celtic Legend
  24. Didn't realise the Piccadilly signing was ticketed >.< i'll just rock up to Forbidden Planet one, they said that wouldn't be a problem
  25. I love conventions <3 although the London one's are getting a bit too popular over here. If you could see into Shadesmar at a Con and see all the tiny lights that represent people, you'd see a giant radiant, glowing ball of dazzle, it was like a sea of people and LFCC last year was even worse. It was like walking into a tsunami of people (granted Stan Lee was doing a signing so.....that only added to it). Really would love to go to few American ones but time and money >.<
